They will recommend what is necessary to do now with an eye down the road as to what will be your best choice long term. In our case, they could have replaced the blower and other parts on the old furnace for about half the price of a new one (which comes with a 10 year warranty), so the decision was easy to replace the entire unit. I also had them clean my shower floors' grout, which had never been done. They did a great job but informed me of a crack in the grout in one shower, causing potential for water leakage and water damage (NOT something to mess with when living in a highrise!). They do not repair or seal grout, but they strongly advised me to get this issue tended to ASAP. Of course I freaked out. A neighbor recommended COIT, saying they re-grouted both her showers prior to moving in and they did a fabulous job. She referred me to James. I left a message for him right away, and I was so impressed that he returned my call promptly. He came by a day or so later to inspect the shower and give me an estimate (I asked to add on my master shower too, to be proactive before the grout cracked there as well). He emailed me the quote and I called and booked the appointment right away. I got lucky that there was an opening (I think there had been a cancellation), and one of their senior techs, Melissa, came the following afternoon. And she was AWESOME. SUPER knowledgeable, super professional, so so nice. Like James, they know their stuff. She totally resealed all the grout in the problematic shower and then she did some aesthetic grout work on the master shower and ensure both were water-tight and good to go. The day after Melissa worked her magic, I got a phone call from James, just to follow up and see that I was happy with the job. Now THAT'S customer service for you! We have had several techs come to try repair our heat pump that was not defrosting properly. I…read morefinally discovered that Heritage Mountain specializes in York products and gave them a call. Jessie arrived on time, masked up and ready to go. He first listened to what I had to tell him about the problem and read the reports from the other techs that I provided. He then looked at all components of the system and zeroed in on a couple of obvious (to him) problems. Jessie worked diligently and was not afraid to share information with me as he was performing his job. After a short time he was able to get the heat pump running as it should. He then checked to make sure ALL components of the heating system were functioning together as they should. We were facing the very real prospect of replacing this heat pump, as we had dealt with a problem that no one else could repair, at a cost of thousands of dollars. Thanks to Heritage Mountain and Jessie for rectifying the problem, saving us the cost of replacing the heat pump and saving us from further frustration. We chose Brad because he was very honest, approachable, and well informed. We felt he gave us good advice, and worked to save us money and get us the best equipment for our needs. We also found his quote was very competitive, which was fantastic because of the four companies I had quote, I like interacting with Brad the best. The installation went smoothly. Brad and the guys he brought in to help with the install were all reasonable to have working in our home. Brad seemed to do everything by the book and to the best possible quality. For example, an electrical box was installed where the electrician had popped out one extra access port than he needed. Brad commented that this would meet code and most people would accept it; however, he did not like it and so he came back the next day to replace the box. All the work seemed top quality. The only challenge with working with Brad was that he was somewhat hard to nail down on an installation time. He was always easy to get a-hold of via his cell phone, but once or twice failed to send me information via email that he said he would. The system has now been running for year and we are very happy with it and would choose to work with Brad again and would recommend him to our friends.

Facebook page abandoned because they can't delete the criticism. 24-hr line but doesn't actually deliver anything like 24-hr service. That said, you'll be given the dude's cell so when he flakes on the appointment you can call to ask what's going on and listen to his kid in the background. In my case it was a spent gas furnace igniter - a tiny little part the size of an LED - supposed to be replaced every 5 years, because they normally fail after 8. I diagnosed that from the blinking lights error code before making the call, naming the part needed. Dude insisted he'd have to come out first to see for himself... tomorrow. Doesn't stock this common part in his van, nor at the heating repair company headquarters 5 minutes away, so he'll have to drive to Surrey... after the weekend. He charges for each visit of course. It went like that. He can't issue receipts on site, they will be mailed. Like that. Ultimately I made an emergency call-back some hours after the replacement part was finally installed because the dude accidentally left my furnace internally short-circuited. He left it to flame continuously, over-riding the thermostat setting, so I couldn't turn it off.
