Edwin at Beach Plumbing recommended us to Restorerz, and said they were the best in the area. I trusted his judgment, as I had a previous experience about 8 years prior with a different company (recommended by my insurance company) that was horrific in every sense the word. Joel and his team (Eduardo, David and Javier) came to the property the morning after Edwin identified the leak and immediately created a game plan. They laid out the entire process start to finish, gave realistic timeframes, offered to speak with insurance adjusters, and were always checking in and within reach during the process. They tore down the walls and got the room prepped for mitigation immediately to get the room dried out. They were extra careful to make sure the rest of my house was clean while they did performed the job. They said they would show up every day to check on the fans, which they did. Christobal came next and helped explained the situation to the insurance company over the phone with me on the line. He showed up when the field adjuster came out to the property to explain the situation. He became my main point of contact. On top of all this, after they were finished the job, they had their Claims Consultant Morelia keep in touch with me during the payment portion with the insurance. She knew the process backwards and forwards and was extra helpful in managing the flow of documents to the insurance company. She provided me with every bit of information I needed to make sure insurance was properly charged. They will make it difficult to understand your bill while overcharging you as much as possible. My insurance agent said they are well known among the insurance community for doing just that. They will also just stop communicating. The workers are good (reason for two stars instead of one), but the project managers and company are very unprofessional and extremely underhanded. I had a large mold problem under an apartment building and at first they were great. Very nice, seemed trustworthy, started promptly with fast and efficient workers. The first problem was when they moved a resident's items out of and back into a small bedroom and living room. They did it before we agreed on a price, or the scope of the work, and then they charged me $9133 (that's not a typo)... and told me they were giving me a deal! They assured me all along that my insurance was great and they would pay for everything. I feel like such a fool for believing their line of BS. Once they did the lion share of the work (which I admit, was done well and quickly), and I paid them on time for the first several bills, they completely ghosted me and my insurance- even though the project wasn't done yet. Their bills say you will pay a penalty for late payment, pressuring you to pay before things can be assessed. This was one of the most stressful times of my life, and I didn't have time to go through the bill and question them, as I was working as hard as possible to do the remodel portion and get my residents back in, so I just paid it. I'm so sorry I did. If you actually look through the price list they make you sign in the beginning, it's bonkers! Need an electrician for an hour? They charge a MINIMUM of 8 hours! They have a person come in to monitor the moisture, takes about an hour- that personal also has an 8 hour minimum! $52 to detach a P-trap under a sink! (Takes less than 5 minutes). They charged me thousands of dollars to hook their drying machines up to the electrical panel! Many of their charges are DOUBLE what insurance allows (which is already generous- I know, because I have a construction background), and even their calculations of the space are lies- up to 25% more than insurance's calculations. They give you a bill that's difficult to asses, so that you have to go back through their price sheet for each type of work, and try to match it to what they actually did. When I brought all of this up in a detailed email they said, well, you already paid. After months of only answering emails after multiple attempts (from me or my. insurance), they sent me another bill for thousands of dollars. My insurance agent replied pointing out many things that were in the bill that they didn't even do. That was 50 days ago, and after multiple emails, they still haven't replied. Hiring PRC was once of the worst financial decisions I've ever made. I feel so taken advantage of and stupid. Save yourself, and go elsewhere.
