In the midst of this process it was determined I would need a homestyle loan which requires specific documentation from the contractor as well as the oversight of a certified inspector during the remaining repair and renovation. The contractor would not comply with what was needed for me to proceed with the loan process. He did provide us (myself and the inspector) an invoice breaking down the funds I had paid ($15,000) and the work completed against those funds. The inspector, who is an experience contractor went through the property to assess what actual work had been done. In some cases, work was claimed to have been done that was not (e.g. claimed to have painted when the property was gutted and there was no way anything could be painted, among others) At one point the contractor asked me for more money, which is when I paid the second payment of $10,000 which in an email he stated would "go toward some mechanicals", which never took place. Not sure how he applied those funds. After the inspector appraised the work done in a very detailed line by line report, it was clear that I was owed approximately $5300 based on what I had paid. I sent this information and request to the contractor by certified mail and also emailed to request the refund, which he has refused to give me. The numbers are more than fair and accurate, I have clearly overpaid for the work done as verified by the construction inspector Doug Hoerth, and I need to receive the refund owed as soon as possible. I have provide them several very gracious opportunities to make this right, however they refuse. I am not asking for all the money back, just a refund on work I paid for that was not done.

Not sure what type of people you have working at your company, but you tried to get a sale when someone tragically died. It is actually disgusting that a person can sit and watch someone get cpr and proceed to try and push through with a sale. I would hope you reconsider how you get your sales because showing up at the fires when people are experiencing a tragedy is an awful and heartless way to do it.
