I would like to comment on my experience with ServPro . It was about the most NEGATIVE experience I have had with any service I have dealt with!
In September of 2018 I had water damage from a slow leak behind my refrigerator which took many months to be notice . My claim was approved and I contacted ServPro .An appointment was made and they showed up the next day to evaluate the situation .An appointment was made for them to start the work the following day . They showed up...forms were signed for them to complete the work and reflect my responsibility to see that they got paid . The refrigerator was moved into
the living room , the wallboard behind the refrigerator was torn away and some flooring was removed in addition to moisture fans placed . The kitchen was completely covered in plastic sheeting .
I might add here that I am disabled senior citizen who is a diabetic and will be 86 in a couple months It is very difficult for me to walk and stay on my feet for more thanSERVPRO of East Horry County
Eek! Methinks not.
a few minutes . At the start of ServPro's work I had to live upstairs in mt TV room and could not use my kitchen to prepare any meal , which was difficult to begin with . The following day ServPro arrived and removed all their fans and any other equipment . I asked the crew chief , Shane Masters , what was next on the agenda . He replied that I would be contacted later that afternoon or the following day be '
Repairs '. I might add here that Shane Masters was a very personable
hard working individual .. This conversation took place on a Wednesday early September . I was NEVER contacted again by ServePro . They NEVER did one more minute of work . ServPro did not even have the decency to call me or contact me in ANY way to tell me they had no intention to continue the work they started. It had NOTHING to do with finances . When ServPro did not show up I called their office and asked the lady ( to the best of my recollection the name was Lauren ) " what's the deal ; when are they coming back to complete the job ? I am having a miserable time living like this . Her reply was : (quote) I don't know... maybe a week... maybe two weeks ... maybe never . You might want to get someone else to finish the job"
With my kitchen sealed off with plastic sheets and a cement slab to walk on and nowhere to sit , it was a miserable situation . I KNOW there was a hurricane immanent , I also had to deal with it . In addition to this miserable mess ServPro, somewhere in their moving things around , put a one foot gash in the opposite wall from my kitchen that was NOT in the original claim and I had to pay over $200.00 to have repaired ! ServPro sent me a bill last November (19th) that was NOT itemized for $3565.00.
This is a RIDICULOUS way for people to be treated and a total lack of integrity in my opinion . I hope this letter helps save others from the grief
I went through .
Sincerely , John Graff
