State Farm referred this company to my home in Glendale wi which flooded on August 10. My daughter and I worked really hard to prevent flooding damage. The manager ovi podina of servicemaster restore was not concerned with the effort and effectiveness of our efforts to prevent mold. Which we believe we did an effective effort to protect our house from molding. Mr podina said our fans were not doing anything and our dehumidifier was not needed. Wow I guess insurance company subcontractors like this want to be the only solution. I was very disappointed in the company. We do have a claim but servicemaster will not be our contractor. read more

Words cannot begin to express how appreciative of ServiceMaster Restore of Tooele county. I had some water damage and my homeowners insurance set me up with ServiceMaster. They came out same day to assess damage. Although it's not what I wanted to see or hear, they were rock stars throughout the cleanup process. Chris, Mikey, Johnny, and Alejandro were amazing, along with the other crew. Chris was always on top of communication with me and setting expectations. They helped move stuff out of the impacted rooms, got all of the wet stuff out, set up fans, and engaged with me daily. These guys work seven days a week, and I've never seen such hard work and dedication before. They really are saving lives and putting them back together. The work was top notch and I was happy to be back in my place after a few days. They were funny, personable, understanding, and great to work with; even when I was going through one of the hardest things I've ever experienced in my life. What a stellar experience my family just had with this ServiceMaster Franchise. While they are located in Tooele, they can go anywhere for a job if you call them! I'm an insurance adjuster by trade so I have hired these folks numerous times for other families to clean up losses but my mother just had a loss of her own so I got to see the process first hand. They took so much care of the property upon arrival they put plastic on the carpets to protect them from any debris in/out of the home. They were so careful with my moms fancy furniture while moving it all and made sure nothing was going to fall/break/scratch the walls and everything. Clean up was a breeze, they were so professional and monitored the property throughout the drying out process, they also helped my mother understand the process she was about to go through with State Farm. I'm not at all surprised to find that this Service Master franchise, owned by Ovi Padina, has lots of 5 star reviews, and I'm extremely happy to add my own. We recently suffered a significant roof leak with a fair bit of associated water damage to two bedrooms. We contacted Ovi via our insurance company, and he arrived almost immediately. He's an extremely affable and good-humored man who quickly put us at ease as he explained the process ahead. After assessing the situation, Ovi and his crew worked very diligently through the day removing the damaged ceilings and walls and preparing the rooms for repair. They were extremely courteous to my entire family and treated our home with the same care that I imagine they would their own. My wife, who often feels that people providing services in our home disregard her, loved Ovi and felt that he addressed her every concern kindly and respectfully. Ultimately, when our homeowners' insurance determined that our claim would not be covered, Ovi told us not to worry and billed us at a rate that I feel is extremely fair. My home was damaged by hurricane Michael (Panama City, FL). One of the worst storms to ever hit. 155mph sustained winds (2mph under being rated a Cat 5). The wind damage is indescribable. Every home & business received damage. I had roof damage/shingles, soffit, insulation, top of chimney blown off, front storm door, fence gone, trees gone, shed & well pump system crushed, etc. & lots of water leaks from the roof & chimney damage. Water literally poured into my home from the oddest places. The downstairs AC registers & smoke detector looked like an open faucet during the storm. The fireplace leaked & ran down the sides onto the flooring. Somehow water made it's way into my kitchen cabinets. Most of the windows had water build up around the edges & run down to the floor. The corner where the ceiling meets the wall leaked water. Water leaked into the attic space. Water blew into the storage space above the main room (split level house) from the soffit & insulation blown out. All the cell towers were out. All the power was out. Trees down across both ends of the road I live on prevented me from leaving to go anywhere for 3 days. No calls. No texts. No social media. No email. Nothing. I knew the top of my chimney had blown off & had this gaping hole so I was able to get a friend to put a tarp over the top to hopefully prevent any future water or critters from entering through the fireplace. I finally did get out to get somewhere to get a spotty signal to start making calls. This started the State Farm insurance claims. I have never had this experience before. I did not know what to do. None of us did. The insurance adjuster suggested I call "Service Master" or "Service Pro". He told me State Farm used both companies for water damage. I drove to get a signal & searched. The first place that popped up when I searched was "Service Master" so that's who I called. For whatever reason I got connected to this franchise in Tooele, Utah. I did not know their location at the time. I thought I was just calling Service Master, the Company, & they would send someone local. They set a date to come out on 10/23/18 (this was 13 days after the hurricane). When they arrived everything seemed fine at first. It was an older man & a young man. The older man spoke broken English & had a thick accent, & relied on the younger man to interpret. The first thing they did was go up on the roof & tarp it where the damage had occurred. I did not go up on the roof to tell them what to do; I believed they were professionals who would inspect everything & address all issues. Then they came inside to check for water damage. As I showed him where all the water had come in, he would take his electronic device & hold it to the area & say "no water" & other short phrases indicating he wasn't finding any moisture at all. After watching him test a few places & listening to him say there was no water I said "well, that makes sense since the hurricane happened 2 weeks earlier & it hasn't rained since - everything has had a chance to dry out". After I said this I continued to take him to different places throughout my house where water had entered the home. The further along with this process we got, the more his tone changed. He spoke & acted like he did not believe I had had any water damage because his device wasn't reading any moisture. Even when he could see the water stain on the ceiling & I was concerned about mold. He & the younger man continuously spoke to each other in their native language the entire time they were in my home so that I had no way to know what they were saying to each other. I found this practice to be extremely unprofessional. He took a large bag of insulation from my attic because it had black spots on it - but did not offer any solution as to what I was to do. He mentioned something about checking it for mold. I have yet to hear anything back from him/Service Master as to their findings. Then he went around & tested several of the same areas again & had the younger man take pictures of what he was doing, as if he didn't believe me & felt he had to prove he had tested? Over the next couple of days after they were gone it started to rain again, & water started leaking into my fireplace again. After making several attempts to find out what to do I tried to call them back to come tarp again. They did not answer or call me back. What I later discovered is that they didn't even inspect the chimney area. I guess they saw my tarp over the top & decided it wasn't their job to inspect it, or any other part of the chimney area. To say I'm disappointed with their service is an understatement. I will never use them again & will never recommend them to anyone. I will also report this to State Farm & suggest they stop recommending them. He was rude and unprofessional. read more
