Great and reliable place! I've been coming to them for a very long time! Always very trustworthy and efficient! Rafael and Sergio are great people! Always super helpful. Thank you for the great service! I would highly recommend this place read more

We recently had our 2000 Toyota 4Runner towed to Service Point Auto Center at 250 Willow Street in San Jose for a no-start issue and some much-needed maintenance -- and I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of work and professionalism from the team. Sergio and Rafael quickly diagnosed the starting problem and let me know it could be resolved easily. While the vehicle was in their care, I also asked them to address several overdue maintenance items and a significant oil leak coming from the valve cover gaskets. They ended up replacing the timing belt, water pump, and all associated components, replaced the valve cover gaskets, and even addressed the worn automatic transmission shift lever bushings. The difference in how the vehicle runs now is incredible -- it starts up effortlessly, runs quieter, smoother, and feels more solid and dependable than it has in years. What really stood out was their clear communication, honest recommendations, and fair, transparent pricing. There was zero upselling, just solid advice and expert work based on what the vehicle truly needed to stay reliable. If you're looking for a shop that knows Toyotas inside and out -- or any vehicle, really -- and does the job right the first time, Service Point Auto Center is the place to go. I'll absolutely be recommending them to friends and colleagues. It's rare to find a team this trustworthy, and I'm grateful to have a go-to shop I can count on. read more

Service Point Auto Center - Our 4runner - Auto Repair Near Me - San Jose, California

My second time using them since October I think. Great integrity. Fair pricing. Ask for Region and Rafael. Owners father and son.

Excellent service and most of all honest review and estimates. Helped me with unnecessary work required by other auto repair and saved me a lot of money. Spoke to owner Rafael and his wife Laura - both are courteous and polite and pleasure to talk too. Highly recommend! Drago read more

Rafeal and Sergio are really two of the most honest mechanics you will ever meet! I have known both of them for over 7 years as I have taken my expensive cars in for inspections, engine work, replacement of seals, air struts, electrical, air conditioner and oil change service. They will inspect your car and will not immediately say to replace or repair something unless it absolutely had to. They both go out of their way and if something is a simple fix, they will NOT even charge you. Come on... who does that. I normally come back and bring them some food just because of how they treat me. Bring any car into their shop ask for Sergio or Rafeal and you will get the best and most honest service! The location of their facility is nothing like a BMW, Mercedes, Toyota or Chevy, however they are just as qualified if not better than most of those facilities. Another plus is if you take your car to those facilities, out of warranty, you will pay an average of $150+ an hour for your work to get done because you get to sit in a nice waiting room full of flat screens, handed a bottle water. I do not know about you guys, but I would rather pay the average rate for mechanics who I trust and are better and skip the water bottle from someone who looks like a model. :) The only thing at Service Point is their parking is limited. Very tiny inconvenience to work with honest mechanics and good rates. read more

After years of crappy service at Chevy dealerships, I finally switched to a family-owned biz. I've now been going here for a few years and it's been terrific! They have the same computers as the dealership, so their able to provide the same diagnostics. The father & son owners, Rafael & Sergio, are honest and reliable. Bravo for beating the Big Guys and for giving true service! read more

We had been searching far and wide for a worthwhile service shop until my sister-in-law told me about this place. She told me that the service was pretty good, but the owners were really nice to her. So, we brought our recently purchased minivan in for an oil change. Normally, my husband does all of our oil changes, but we didn't have the equipment for this large of a car. When we called them up to see if they could do the oil change for us if we brought our own synthetic oil, they were accommodating enough to do so for only $15 including filter. We showed up at 10:30, they got right to work and finished by 10:50, which was awesome because we had our 6-month-old daughter with us. They also changed the air filter for us, which was really dirty for another $25. Now, I have to say I'm always turned off by the "add-on" services-- when you go in for one thing and you end up paying for 3 or 4 by the end of the time there. But, they actually physically showed us our dirty-ass filter compared to a new one. So, it made me feel a little better. I really liked the service and overall felt like I could trust our car with these guys. We will most definitely take our car there again. read more

Only place a truly trust. I have been taking all my BMWs to Rafael and Sergio for over 11 years now. I always recommend them to friends and family. Just got a new x5 and was checking what time they will be open tomorrow so I can get a smog check and have them look over my new ride! read more

If you're in the Washington Guadalupe neighborhood near Downtown San Jose, give or take a ten-mile radius AND you need a great mechanic, Service Point offers the highest quality service for budget prices. I was responsible for a fleet of cars none newer than 2006 or older than 1993. Sergio, his Dad and crew did an excellent job on a variety of repair work! Wow. They always consulted with me and gave me options. And their time frame to fix was reasonable. This is not a fancy place. And yet.You are going to be suitably impressed that you saved hundreds of dollars versus dealer prices and receive terrific repair work. read more

I have worked with Rafael & Sergio and the family for years. They are honest, fair, detailed, and completely efficient. We have received great service and affordable repair work on three of our vehicles across the years. It is not fancy, which is good. Why pay for decorating? It's a car repair place not a spa! Trust them. And then you will recommend them to others. read more

Everyone here is nice and helpful. They do a great job. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. I like that they are knowledgeable.

Great fast oil change w a good price. I actually needed to do some work under the hood the following day and noticed that the dip stick was loose and not pushed in. That definitely wasn't me. Good price but not sure why they didn't push the dip stick all the way in. -1 for lack of detail. read more

I have been having Rafael and Sergio work on my cars for over 10 years and they are by far one of the best and honest mechanics I have ever known. I refer all my friends and clients to them. They really go out of their way and take the time to check something where everyone else wants to charge you a fee just to diagnose it. Their labor rates are 90.00 an hour and very reasonable.. I have been going to Rafael and Sergio for a while. They have always been friendly and I never have a complaint about their work. Rafael, Sergio and the rest of the staff are very friendly, honest and extremely knowledgeable! I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. It's a rarity to find a mechanic that you can actually trust. I've been back several times, mostly for oil changes, and I've had great service every single time!!! Today I went for an oil change and tire rotation. When I started to drive, there was a slight noise like a sticky paper was sticking every time the tire rotated. I let them know, and they fixed it right away!!! They were friendly and fast as well. My 20 year old car is doing great because of their work :)!!! While they were doing that, I had a quick chat with one of the employees, and he said he recently joined their team about a month ago, and he expressed that they are a really good place. He said that Rafael and Sergio honestly tell the customer what's going on. Plus they have really good prices. I feel really lucky to have found this business! I can't say how much I appreciate their work! Everyone is incredibly kind and they do a fantastic job. I highly recommend them! read more

I went to service point auto because it was closed to my home. I did not make an appointment ( saturday) and needed a smog check and air condition recharge. I was told it would take an hour and an hour was all it took. Very happy with the way the transaction went and was handled. read more

I drive a BMW so maintaining my car is not cheap. Before Service Point I was taking my car to Jiffy Lube for oil changes thinking it was the most reasonably priced but I am paying a much better price here thanks to Sergio and his staff. I have had other services here as well and have always left happy with the prices and work. The parking lot is very small but the mechanics will make space for you! read more

If you're looking for an honest, quick and efficient mechanic... than this is the place you want to go! I've been going here for a long time and recommend this place to anyone that mentions car trouble. I introduced my whole family to this place, and now they all go here. They are thorough and always try to give you the best reasonable options. In an economy like this, you need a place like this that is looking out for your best interest as a car owner. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Sergio and his crew are professional & incredible at what they do! read more

Last year I had to get the starter on my car replaced. It was an emergency. I went here on recommendation from my roommate. Little did I know they were going to rip me off!!! My starter went out again, exactly 14months from when I replaced it at this place! It was expensive to begin with, their proces are outrageous & now I had to replace it AGAIN! I shouldve known & walked away when they didnt believe me when I said it was the starter. They supposedly had to run the diagnostic to make sure. Yeah right!! They just wanted to charge me the extra fee! So what, just because Im a woman I dont know whats wrong with my car???!!! I drive it every day & do the maintenance on it, oil changes, break pads, spark plugs, I do it all! This place is crap, dont trust them!! read more

Dad and Son (Rafael and Sergio) are 2 nice people, a real person that provides honest and professional work on all my cars. They've been our service technician since they moved from Quality Tune Up at Winchester Blvd. They moved to this new place at 250 Willow St. where they can call their own. Recently, they've worked on 2 of my children cars (a Celica and a Bimmer) to Remove and Replace a busted engine. The Toyota runs like a brand new car (took only 4 days to finished it) and the Bimmer is ready for pick up tomorrow (02/27/12). They charge us with reasonable $$$ for parts and labor. My personal feelings for these guys are; I can always trust their honesty and leave any of my cars to them without hesitation, and get it back with the repair job done right the first time. More business to you Rafael and Sergio!!!!! from Abadilla family read more

My wife took her car for a oil change here. When she picked it back up she noticed an oil leak. They then told her that they broke something so now it leaks and they want to charge her for the part and labor. Pure BS. DONT GO HERE read more

Okay... So, I have to be super honest here. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to come to a shop that I didn't know or I wasn't referred to by a friend or relative. I stumbled onto this place because I was attempting to get a smog check on 1st street. The guy at the smog station said my car needed a STAR station to do the test and he suggested I try this station. Another lady was having the same dilemma and I told her she was more than welcome to follow me to this shop. Well... I pulled into the parking area and was greeted by a mechanic, (I didn't get his name, but he had blondish hair), he immediately gave me pricing and said he could get it done for me. He offered me the office waiting room. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I was so, so afraid, being a single woman, I'd get talked into services I didn't need. But the guys there were professional and courteous. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place. I have tons of family and friends that I will definitely refer to this station. read more
