Wanted to find a place that was close to do my smog check. I've done it before at the dealership when I bring my car in. It's expensive but at least it's convenient. Welp, went on Yelp to find a place that was in the neighborhood, quick, efficient, and reasonable cost. I found it here! I came on a Friday and there were already about 4 people in the waiting room. The room wasn't full but it was definitely poppin'. When I drove in, I had to wait for someone to move out of the driveway. I was in and out of the place within 35 minutes. They have an extremely efficient business here and I just mentioned the deal and they happily discounted the service. I wish I got the name of the person helping me because he was so personable and so kind. Definitely icing on the cake to this whole experience. You probably wouldn't be excited to go to smog check but at least it's no longer a huge issue. Can't wait to come back in a couple years. (lol) read more

I've been here a few times in the past and this time was no different! I pulled in, eventually greeted by the smog techs when they came around (they are a functioning facility) Filled out the sheet and was asked to have a seat in the lobby. Standard stuff when awaiting a smog. They pulled the car around and put my wife's jeep on the rollers! Within 10 min I was called up, went over the results as I paid and on my way! I came here on a Saturday at 3pm and to my surprise there are at-least 8-10 ppl before me. These guys are fast and efficient. No BS. They smogged my car and sent me on my way within 35 minutes or so. SCPlus is located along Berryessa on the SSWest bound direction. Meaning if you cross the 101 overpass, you need to make a U-turn. The staff is super friendly and efficient. I drove down in a Sunday morning and was out in 15 minutes. It literally took longer to write this review than the check took. Expert tip: 1) The entrance is kinda steep; so, lowered vehicles (i.e. sports or slammed cars) should be careful. I did a smog check here two years ago and it was great. The older gentleman working back then was polite, respectful, and actually acted like he wanted your business. Fast-forward to Fall 2025, and wow... what a downgrade. It looks like the place changed ownership, and the new guy running it has the customer service skills of a brick wall. He is a big latino man. Rude, abrupt, and talks to customers like we're inconveniencing him by showing up. He immediately told me that if the test fails, he still charges which already tells you the vibe. And despite my car being in great condition with low mileage, he practically went on a witch hunt with a flashlight trying to find anything he could call a problem. It genuinely felt like he wanted me to fail just so he could squeeze more money out of me. His attitude? An absolute piece of garbage. I felt judged the moment I pulled in, like he made up his mind about my car before even testing it. It honestly felt like he needed someone to fail that day and decided I'd be the lucky winner. Then the retest: listed as $50, but suddenly he decides it's $70. No explanation, no transparency, just blatant dishonesty. When I asked what supposedly failed, he couldn't give me a real answer and basically told me to take my car somewhere else. Extremely unprofessional and weirdly sensitive, like he had some personal issue with me for no reason. For context: my car has never failed a smog check anywhere until this guy touched it. First time with him, first failure ever. That says everything. He took my money and treated me like trash the entire time. What an absolute joke of a business. Do yourself a favor: go literally anywhere else. With the shady attitude and shady practices here, I honestly hope this place tanks under the new owner. They take walk in's. Upon arrival, there was an customer ahead of me. I waited 5 minutes before they took my car in. Once they inspected my car, they told me I would fail because of the check engine light. The technician told me he would run the test and see what the issue is, then recommended me to go to my mechanic, get it fixed and I could bring my car back to get re-tested, free of charge.
