Decided to get a smog check last minute on a Friday so I gave this place a call and asked if I needed an appointment to come in. The man told me that he closes at 4 pm (it was ~3 pm when I called) and said he can help me as long as I come in before then. I asked for a price estimate and for my car, he said it would be $45. I drove up about 5 minutes later and was helped right away. The whole interaction probably took less than 10 minutes and the man stuck to his word about the price! I can't believe I just discovered this place considering it's a walking distance from where I live!! I highly recommend this place to anybody looking to just get a smog check. read more

I called round for a quote for a STAR smog of my Honda delSol. So many places were $100-250!! Yes! Just for a single smog! I thought that was ridiculous ! That was until I found this place! I first got the email of $70. The next day I called to double check that must lower price. He verified that it was the nice low price! I ran over there happily. Did not have to wait. I parked and talked to the owner. He brought the car in and I had to ask "why is your price so much lower than others?" And he laughed and said "I don't have to pay an employee!" He owns and ones the place himself ! He was very friendly while working! A much newer car came in while mine was on the fourth section. It only had to be plugged in and done before mine was! Alright, I'm mainly writing this to offset the 5-star reviews because I don't think they're warranted. I've been here twice but there's no way I'm coming back. Pros: it's faster than most smog places, don't have to wait too long even if there's someone before you. Appointments not really necessary. The guy was professional and thorough (uh well, this is possibly a con if you have doubts if you'll pass) Cons: PRICE! Without a discount it's the most expensive smog check I've ever paid for - nearly 2X the cost vs a number of cheaper places less than 10 min away. I have a sneaking suspicion that he gauges whether you have money (e.g. small talk about what you do) to decide if he's going to charge you full price. Ridiculous! read more

After procrastinating our smog-check for ages, we finally decided to bite the bullet on Sunday morning. Thankfully, this place was open and available! We have a fairly old car ('97 Avalon) and Chuong warned us that it would take longer (up to half an hour.) Within thirty minutes he was done, and he even gave us a discount for finding him through Yelp! So the price came out to the usual, no extra charge :) I would totally recommend this place for its friendly and efficient service, fair pricing, and convenient plaza next door where you can grab a bite or even buy some Asian groceries while you wait! Very quick response for a quote. Very affordable for the State mandated Star emissions testing, compared to a few other places I contacted. I arrived at 11:30 a.m. and was done by 11:40 a.m. only 10 minutes! Very efficient and the gentleman manning the place was super friendly. Nice, friendly, convenient and price competitive. My recommendation for others with lesser experience: always get a quote and check coupons before showing up, then confirm the price before handing your car keys. He answered my request for quote via yelp very quick, when I honestly didn't expect an answer until the following day since it was well after business hours.
