I had my change oil done very quickly. I asked them to check the psi of my tires & perform a brake inspection. It was completed in less than an hour. They recommended change of tires which I was planning to do in a few months. Their service & not upselling me on something I don't need provided great value. Their staff named Robert has been very helpful with my car maintenance. read more

I went in for an oil change. The customer service provided at MCD Auto Services was REFRESHING and EXCEPTIONAL. Finding an auto shop that is honest as well as clean & tidy is a gem. I truly appreciated Roberto taking the time to answer my questions about other possible fixes without upselling. He took the time to show me and talk through the repair options. I have already recommended MCD Auto Services to my families and friends. I will definitely be back. read more

So happy to have found this place. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Was super happy to not have someone tell me that I additionally needed 10 other things as a way to upsell. Pricing was fair and the service was super fast. read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE. Had something go wrong with our truck (luckily) down the street. Walked over to ask their opinion. The guy said to bring the truck in and was able to get seen as soon as we drove up. Fixed and replaced a bolt that had came loose from the lift kit within an hour. read more

I recently moved to the area and needed to get an oil change for my car and after seeing lots of 5 star reviews for this place, I decided to check this place out. I handed over my car keys and they were able to do my oil change within 20 minutes (granted, I came right before they were about to close on a weekday). They charged a reasonable price for a full synthetic oil change which I really appreciated. I'm definitely coming back here for my future oil changes! read more

5 stars for this place! Very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. I came here as a walk-in to get an oil chance (synthetic oil), and the price was about $10 less than surrounding places in San Jose. Great customer service. Would recommend this place. read more

[REVIEW WRITTEN: 8/12/20] Solid, trustworthy spot. Don't give away my secret! LOL The Deets: + Services are soooooo reasonably priced. + In and out. Oil change called day-of, fit me in. 100k check & oil change, next day AND car was done by noon. BAM, this is awesome! + Oil change (for SUV) = $30 + Huy provides great customer service & is always super nice! - Homeless folks living around the corner - No Wi-Fi to connect while waiting read more

Honest and reliable. I get a great vibe from the owner, he's not trying to pull a fast one on people. I needed my spark plugs replaced on my fr-s. Skips and Toyota wanted over $1100 because it's a box engine. MCD did it for 1/3 of the price. Also, I sent my buddy here to get his car looked at because of a weird noise. The issue was a loose bolt somewhere on the car and they didn't charge my friend for the service. He still kicked them some cash. Honesty and reliability. Thank you! read more

5 stars all the way. I came in for an oil change, pricing was very reasonable & competitive compared to other local shops. I usually do my own oil & filter change but this was my gf's car & I didn't have the time to go buy her car's filter cap adapter. Car and I where in and out within 20-30 minutes. Luckily they weren't super busy so they took me as a walk in. I didn't have to kill much time, just waited by their garage door; fast when you have the right tools haha. I will for-sure be coming back here. For the price, I rather have them do the oil change instead of myself. Will be taking my own car as well. Good guys here! read more

They are honest and provides good service! They're not like the other auto shop - they don't tell you to have the service done unless it's really needed. read more

Fastest oil change I have ever had in my entire life! By the time I got inside to ask about also replacing a brake light, they were lowering my car and backing it out. I still asked and requested to come back since there were others in line but nope! By the time he had printed my receipt and I swiped my card the brake light was replaced! 10/10 excellent service! Rapid speed. read more

Overall great including got a new set of tires !! The service and value for your money goes along way here!!! Ty mcd

Huy was so kind! As a woman, I'm always nervous that I will be overcharged but this is a reasonable auto shop owner! I don't know anything about cars and I freaked out when my car was acting up at the end of 2022. I looked up a nearby shop, read the reviews, and swung by to see what my car needed. He checked out my car instantly using an OBD scanner and shared next steps. No charge! I came back a few days later to get my battery replaced for $30. Thanks so much, Huy! read more

I was referred here and am so happy with the service - fast, friendly, trustworthy & fair pricing!

Definitely recommend this place! I travel a lot for work and I have a project up in San Jose ca and I needed a mechanic and ran into these guys! Excellent shop... it's so hard to find an honest mechanic who does good work as well... MCD is both! The owner is a great person, very honest and personable. I fully trust him with both of my cars and I know when I go there I'm in good hands. I will only go see him going forward and I have recommended him to all my friends and family. read more

With any car service, I always worry about the pricing as people tend to increase the price and services based on the customer. I called Huy to get an idea of how much the 100K service would be and was blown away by his response as in my lifetime, I'd never received such an answer from an auto shop! He asked me to bring in my car and would see what needs to be done vs what's on the manual checklist, and that you should only pay for what needs to be done. Though I'd been going to him for my oil changes, this made me a forever believer that in the auto business, there ARE good hearted, non-cheating people, and I found it in MCD Auto! The only downside to recommending them to others is that they may not have availability for me anymore! jk jk.... but no, seriously, whatever your auto needs, PLEASE just go check them out. More than likely, they won't disappoint! And don't just take my word for it. Look at all their other reviews!! read more

I got a oil change in my car in 25 minutes I love to do business in this place. The stuff is fast and nice. The service is quality and fast . I recommend read more

This should be the first and hopefully only stop for car repairs. Prices are reasonable and service is exceptional, so problem solved!

Huy is super awesome! Took great care of me and my truck that needed a new heater coil as well as an oil change etc. He said it would take a couple of days for the repair and he called the next MORNING and it was completed and ready for pick up. I think they even cleaned out the truck as it was cleaner then i remember:-). I will definitely use them again and again as their prices are fair but their work is superior!! Thank you to all of you!! Mark read more

This place is amazing because of Huy. I love taking my car here because he knows how to take care of his customers. He is definitely honest and is not a Mechanic who will rip you off. I've had a few other people work on my car here and they have been knowledgeable and friendly. I've had Huy replace my front brakes and he has changed my car oil a few times. I usually purchase my own oil and filter. Sometimes they can get busy so I would recommend calling in to see if they are available to assist you that day. Last time I brought my car in, I walked over to Trader Joe's to do some grocery shopping. I love this location because it's close to stores so you can shop while your car is being serviced. read more

Super nice guys. Huy was always very friendly with a smile. My car was stalling issues. Got my car looked at and fixed within a few hours, whereas others want you to leave it all day or for many days! He was fair and honest. They have me as a new customer from now on. read more

Great work and offered his car so I could pick up my son from school.

I knew this was my favorite mechanic when I pulled into the garage. Huy was standing there with a smile on his face as always. The Buddha was the second sign. I have been coming to this place for years and it's always the same great customer service and an even better experience driving away. He really has kept my car running like new every time I have taken it back. As a student and a military veteran integrity is a big part of what I value and Huy has been a real help with maintaining my car within my budget. He always focuses on the necessities and he is never pushy. In fact, he is always telling me that I don't need things when I insist. Huy and his team are great! They are like family. read more

Does anyone know where Huy went? :( this is a great shop I'd just like to no his whereabouts since he was my mechanic for several years any info would help thanks read more

The nicest and most honest mechanic in the Bay. I recommended him to family and everyone that asks. He's checked my sister's car on three different occasions free of charge when Mitas basically made her think her car needed thousands in repair. I found him originally because I was quoted $2,500 for a few different sensors including an O2 sensor for my 96 Infiniti by 4 different shops. I went to him and he said half of what I was quoted by surrounding shops wasn't even necessary. Sure enough he did the job for $550 and the engine light went away and it passed smog. He saved me from having to sell my commuter to Cash4Clunkers. The car dove perfectly for another 50k+ miles before it was totaled in a hit and run while parked. read more

This is really one of the best mechanic shops there is in the Bay Area. I have been taking multiple cars to Huy for about 4 years now. Finding an honest and reliable mechanic a extremely difficult now a days. I will gladly say that MCD Auto Services is more than that. They're are extremely cooperative and explain step by step what they will do to your vehicle. I have referred Huy to friends and family members and they have all been happy with the service and the prices because they are extremely fair with their prices. Many times, you can drop off your vehicle while they work on it and they will give you a call once it's ready. They are quick, safe and ready for any job big or small. I would strongly recommend to anybody who is looking for a great mechanic. read more

MCD auto saved the day. I called them and told them my issue I was having with installing my brakes and rotors. They gave me a very reasonable quote and told me to bring it in.
