    Fuego sangria. Yum

Used our Harvest Host membership to stay the night at Serre Vineyards. This location is about 5 miles off highway 74 but it is an easy drive. The Beast Trail road leading up to the vineyard is gravel and it feels like you are traveling through a tunnel to get to your destination. Once you arrive at the parking area, there is ample room to park and if you are staying the night like us, room to turn your coach around too. The wine tasting building is just down the hill from the parking and it looks brand new. The setting is beautiful, the lighting a modern rustic, and the well maintained lawn, with Adirondack chairs available to hang out and watch the sun set over the mountains, makes it feel magical. The winery wasn't open for tasting but we were able to order off the menu and chose the Fuego Sangria. It did not disappoint; fruity and sweet and really delicious. The bottle came with two small wine glasses, etched with the Serre logo. A beautiful treat, as we happened to be there on our anniversary. :) Would love to have had the full experience but really enjoyed our short time there. Highly recommend

I love the place and love the outdoor area. The views are to die for.The wine is excellent. A tasting is a bit expensive for the size of the pours and the bottles are super expensive. I think the place caters to the millennials who can afford 42.00 for a bottle of wine. But all that withstanding, the staff is very nice and we enjoyed our tasting. My only suggestion I would give them is if you are having a guest singer, and she was great by the way, to not have the in house music cut back in the minute she stops. Just turn it off until she is done. I love the new spot for the tastings. A much better layout

Really pretty setting! Nice umbrella coverage for sun and rain. This would be a lovely setting for a wedding

Well, Melissa did her best to accommodate us today even though the main tasting room and outdoor area was closed due to a wedding that evening.

Made in a wood fire oven the crust and overall pizza was absolutely the top that I have had recently. The creek if you want to walk down to it was very nice as well. I guess Elkin Creek is on the muddy side, but still quaint and nice to look at as well. Now the wine, I was not blown away unfortunately and each, had a way of making me think I was tasting some type of Kombucha due to the spices used in them an a lingering flavor. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it was that way through all of the six wines we tasted.

Pizza that we ordered was delicious, with brie and bacon and the perfect thinness. It was quite large as well for $21 and we're still thinking about that pizza. But the wines, oh no, I never went to a winery where the wines tasted like they had a vinegar aftertaste. The only one we could stomach was the "soft white". We ordered a bottle of it to have with the Pizza and then walked around the premises to enjoy the creek. We're sad in our hearts that the wine just wasn't our taste, but if you want great wood fire pizza and a beautiful location, definitely come here.

There were very few people. The music was too loud (and no, I'm not old!) and none of us could understand a word the lead singer sang in almost every song. Worst of all, the 14$ glass of wine was about 1/2 to a 1/3 of a typical pour. I asked twice about it and only got a laugh back. Probably won't go back. **************************** UPDATE AFTER YOUR RESPONSE: Thank you for taking the time to respond, but your reply completely missed the point. Instead of acknowledging a customer's experience, you chose to argue with it. Telling me that other guests enjoyed the show, explaining how your sound engineers operate, and defending your pour sizes doesn't address the actual issue--it dismisses it. A review isn't a debate to be won; it's feedback to be heard. What stands out most is your tone. There's no real ownership, no genuine apology--just a series of justifications meant to invalidate my experience. Whether or not others felt differently is irrelevant. I'm telling you what my experience was, and your response essentially boils down to "you're wrong." That's not how you build loyalty, especially from someone who has supported your business repeatedly in the past. A simple acknowledgment and a sincere effort to understand would have gone a long way. Instead, your response reinforces the very reason I said I probably won't be back.

The location is beautiful--tucked beside the Roaring River in a small valley, with a peaceful and scenic setting. Menus were provided when we sat down, along with an offer for drinks. Although this is a winery, they also serve beer and other beverages. Our server gave us a wine menu but directed us to scan a QR code for the other drink options. Since there's no cell reception, we had to connect to the winery's Wi-Fi first, which felt a little awkward. After all that, the beer menu was quite limited--something that could have been more easily explained up front. The food menu was also limited, which we expected at a winery. None of us ordered wine, but two of us had beers, and we shared the soft pretzel bites with beer cheese dip and a charcuterie board. Both appetizers were presented beautifully and tasted great--we really enjoyed sampling them. After our food and drinks, we walked the grounds. The property is stunning, with accommodations for overnight stays, a pavilion for events, and multiple access points to the river. Overall, this was a wonderful place to relax and catch up with friends. The highlights were the scenery and the food, while the downsides were the limited menu options and service that felt less helpful than expected.
