I have 3 kids that come to this school, this is the third year that they have attended. I love how…read moresmall the school is and how involved the staff is. All the kids know the teachers and all the teachers know the kids! There were two things that really caught my attention, 1 that is a growth mindset type of school and 2 bullying is not tolerated! There was a time when a kid was bullying another kid and the principal asked the victim if she was okay and the student said yes she was okay and the principal reassured it's okay to bot be okay because bullying is not okay. I don't know what happened after because I was only able to overhear that conversation, but when I didn't hear that it made me feel comfortable to know that the principal is validating our kids feelings at the school! Definitely a school I recommend for the kiddos.

I have had several unpleasant situations with this principal but this was the most upsetting . My son was happy to be at school and she managed to make him cry before school even started. I brought him a chocolate milk from Starbucks which I intended to take from him before class, an honest mistake. She pulled him aside and spoke to him in a manner where he came back out crying. This is unacceptable, no child should feel that way after an encounter with any educator. It's supposed to be a safe zone for kids and a place of comfort. As a father I am very disappointed, I expect more for the leader of this school. I have had several issues with her throughout the years and for the most part I do my best to avoid her however today I felt I needed to speak on it. I am not happy and hope she is not treating other kids this way. She has displayed a lot of arrogance over the years and it is not a professional look. She denied my mother handicap parking which caused an official complaint, the kids have not shared good stories about her over their time there. It's unfortunate because the teachers for the most part have been great. Sucks to have to speak on this when I feel the staff makes great efforts and my kids love being around the kids that go there. This star rating is aimed specifically at the principal.

this school was awful. the admin team was toxic and dysfunctional. they were vindictive and nasty…read more they didn't care about the kids at all. they enjoyed harassing the teachers. the pay here was good but the learning environment and the lack of professional leadership was horrific. don't walk, run. this place does not function like a normal school. it's very toxic. check out the teacher turn over year after year. that should be anyone's first clue.

I saw a vast difference in my child once he started at soar - he became a much more outgoing child and his grades skyrocketed. My youngest has been at soar since kindergarten and is now in 8th grade, his grades are awesome and he never wants to miss school (he's really hoping for perfect attendance this year). I have referred friends, coworkers and family to soar. My co-worker moved her daughter to soar for her 7th grade year this year and said that she has also seen such a dramatic difference in her daughter's grades as well as her attitude. Since then, I've toured many school campuses to enroll her, and I can confidently say that VPS offers an exceptional academic program along with outstanding after-school options. One thing that really stood out to me was the weekly presentations my daughter did. I believe they were based on alphabet items, though I may be mistaken. Regardless, these presentations were wonderful for building confidence and public-speaking skills at an early age. The homework reinforced what the children learned in class, and the at-home projects helped them feel proud and capable just like the "big kids." The after-school programs are excellent. My daughter did imagination station, sprout and blossom, violin lessons, and homework club. It provides strong academic structure while also teaching manners, confidence, and responsibility. The staff is wonderful and truly knows every child. The only downside I experienced was when I requested a transcript for my child while applying to a new schools. I was told that transcripts were not available for those grades. I had asked if they could write a letter indicating they don't have transcripts or to create in for me but neither was done. After that, communication seemed to drop off, and it felt as though we were no longer a priority once we had left the school. Overall, I would still recommend VPS without hesitation. The tuition is also very reasonable for an IB and private school. I truly wish we could return to VPS or find another school just like it.

My son is mentally disabled and RCS has an amazing program for children with special needs. RCS is one of the only Christian schools in Southern California to recognize the need for Christian families to have all of their children served by the private Christian schools. My son has been in the program since 5th grade and I cannot imagine him going to school anywhere else. He will start at the high school next year. So if you are a family with a child with special needs and you want them to go to a school where Christ is a part of their daily education, than this is the place for you. All your children will get a great education and be a part of a loving community. Go Eagles!

On my very first day, a male student called me a "fat bitch." The overall culture felt entitled and hypocritical--many people here call themselves "Christians," but their behavior doesn't reflect those values. As someone who values faith deeply, I expected more respect and compassion. Instead, I found students who lacked kindness and basic decency. I believe school should be a place where students can freely share their identity and personal beliefs without fear of ridicule. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Aquinas. I ultimately left and returned to my home public school, and I would never recommend Aquinas to anyone. In my heart, I do believe that sometimes God places people in difficult environments to remind them to lean on Him. Maybe this school is meant for those who don't know Him and need to seek Him out. But for students who already have faith, Aquinas does not provide anything more. A public school or a different private school would be a much better option. Also, I couldn't help but notice they don't have reviews up on Google, which is concerning.

My husband and I made the tough decision to move our toddler from the daycare he had known since he…read morewas 6 months old to Monty's Montessori. We noticed at the last daycare, he would come home irritable have excessive rashes, dirty, along with staff communication issues, screaming at drop off, dirty/broken equipment, and so many other issues. Immediately at Monty's, we noticed a difference. The teachers are very clear, caring, and sincere. The equipment is so well maintained and shared well with classmates. Now both of my sons attend Monty's and my toddler sprints to class every morning. My infant is always smiling when he sees his teachers and both classrooms have great communication. Any questions or concerns we had out of curiosity has been answered by the front office and everyone has been extremely polite. We love how engaged the staff is with the families and how receptive our kids have responded to the changes. Our only regret is not having moved our toddler sooner and to join the Monty family years ago!

Over time we experienced ongoing communication issues with administration, and concerns we brought forward were often dismissed rather than addressed in a constructive way. As months went on, the interactions with administration began to feel increasingly uncomfortable. Instead of working collaboratively when concerns were raised, responses often felt defensive or confrontational. As a parent, it started to feel like bringing forward normal questions about my child's experience was met with pushback rather than support. There were also situations where things discussed privately seemed to be talked about openly in the office, and unfortunately our child overheard comments that made her uncomfortable. That was very concerning to us as parents. In addition, there were basic care concerns that added to our decision. There were days our child came home having barely had any water, and when we asked about it we were told she needed to refill it herself, even though she sometimes struggled to open her bottle. Individually these things might seem small, but over time they created a pattern that made us lose confidence in how concerns were being handled. The final straw for us was an incident involving inappropriate content being discussed among the children. At that point we felt it was necessary to remove our daughter from the school. Every family's experience may be different, and we genuinely hope the school improves in how concerns from parents are handled because the children deserve a supportive and respectful environment.
