This year was my daughter's first year at this school. She had a very rough start with bullying and kids being mean and aggressive towards her. I essentially decided to stop sending her because it was becoming an ongoing issue. And I always felt embarrassed about bringing it up to the teacher. Well, my point is that after Admin became aware of the situation, they reached out and expressed their sincere apologies. And emphasized how much this issue was of importance to them. They helped my daughter and I out in supportive ways where my daughter no longer had any bullying after this issue was brought to light. I've spoken to most admin on the team and they have been very helpful. They really do care about your children. I have been in education in a different district for quite some time years and I cannot say that we have been able to make promises the way this school does. It's just impossible to guarantee something the that we're not always aware of because there's a million things going on in a school throughout the day and a million children to keep track of but this school somehow can keep up and guarantees to keep promises. I just hope I can encourage your decision to attend this school being a first time soar parent and starting out in a difficult situation. As a parent I cannot stress enough how much we should be proud to have a school that finally aimes to target little individuals and help them become better people for themselves and for others around them. Hello..my name is Elizabeth & I am here to let you know that I had six (all sisters) great-granddaughters (Noriega sisters) attending Soar for eight years & I promise you, those were the best years for them. I truly wish they were still at Soar but they moved to another city therefore they had to change to a different school. All of the staff at Soar were (& still are) some of the most friendly & caring human beings that I have ever meet. The teachers are so amazing, they truly care about our children's education. They honestly take the time to get to know each child in their class so that they know how to work with them individually. One of the very best teachers (in my opinion) was & is Mrs. Prouch, she cares so much about her students & will go that extra mile to help each one of them achieve their goals. The other super special person for our family was Mrs. Mundy..oh this woman is one of a kind. As soon as you walk into the front office, she will meet you with a great big smile & attend to your needs as if you were a family member of hers. She has the ability to make it so easy to talk to her. Soar is a great school, where they truly care about all their students. All my 3 children have been, and one of them still is, educated at Soar Charter Academy. All of my children liked/like the environment, the staff and teachers, the academic education system, and the way the teachers make students feel seen and heard even if they are very shy. My eldest son is now a Marine and his love for sports and being active started at Soar along with the 7 habits that have been useful for him till this day. My daughter is going to graduate high school this year with highest honors and she uses the note taking skills she learned from her teachers at Soar and fell in love with art and her paintings have been at the art exhibition at the Orange Show fair but those skills were planted at Soar and the diversity of teachers that inspired my daughter to follow her passion and motivated her to become the bright student she is today.My youngest daughter who is currently attending Soar Charter Academy loves going to school but math is a challenge for her, she gets the tutoring she needs in the subjects that she needs help with and is currently doing very good. I am very grateful that my kids were able to be part of Soar Charter Academy and have the opportunity to learn in different ways of learning because not all students are the same. read more

We've had 4 kids attend Soar from 2015 through now with 2 kids completing K- 8 and 2 kids currently enrolled. Soar is a second family to parents and kids. Our kids have always loved the school and the many opportunities the get to explore from school plays, many sports, clubs, steam, music, leadership and field trip. opportunities. All our kids have the opportunity to excel and shine in their own way and feel included in the community. My favorite events are the next level all inclusive school play, MT. Sac cross country / track and field invitational, and the 7th/8th grade Washington DC/ New York trip. read more

My daughter spent many years at soar. She now has a bachelors degree and dreams to come her education further. SOAR has a family atmosphere where kids learn to respect authority and each other . Had 2 of my children here and waiting for next year for my other child. Wonderful environment for the kids. Staff cares about the academic, mental and wellbeing of the children. The teachers really push the kids to be better and challenge them with realistic goals and help them meet those goals. Both my children went to Soar Charter Academy from Kinder through 8th grade. The staff there are supportive and caring about our students. They are there for the parents and children and teach our students to be good citizens. This school is one of the better schools in the district.
