I wanted to let the public know about my horrific experience with Park Auto Group. My elderly parents who are both 73 years old purchased a used van from Sales Associate Mike Gauer (Cell Phone # 330-475-2350) on March 17th 2016. They drove from Dayton, Ohio to Akron, Ohio to pick up the vehicle (over a 3 hour drive). Mike had them fill out the paper work (including an as-is form). They drove the vehicle home (again a 3 hour drive). Yesterday, my father took the van in for an oil change and the mechanic informed them the van had been in an accident and that they were lucky to be alive driving it. The van is in need of major repair and this was not disclosed by Park Auto Group. I contacted Mike Gauer to see if he would do anything about the issue and he was very rude and arrogant. He basically stated the vehicle was purchased as-is and it is their problem now. I was drawn back that someone would treat the elderly this way...especially endangering their lives by selling them a wrecked vehicle. I wanted to make the public aware of this as I would hate to have someone seriously injured in a vehicle purchased from Park Auto Group. My wife and I recently bought a new Honda CR V from Park Honda. For our first car buying experience we couldn't have been more pleased. The atmosphere and staff at Park Honda was very inviting. We visited several Honda dealers in Northeast Ohio and Park Honda gave us by far the best feeling. Angie Battista went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our experience (including numerous email correspondence over a few days and a knowledgable overview of the car). Over the last 15 years we have purchased 3 brand new Honda vehicles from Park Honda of Akron; a 2001 Odyssey, 2011 Odyssey and a 2016 Accord. Over the years I have purchased more than 15 different makes of vehicles from other various dealerships. I can say with 100% confidence Park Honda sales experience is very relaxing and the service department is second to none! My wife and I both agree they treat you with respect; they are prompt to assist when you arrive and do everything to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Other dealer's service departments do not compare, you only buy the car once, and you have to deal with the service department for the life of that vehicle. Thought about it for a couple days. We went back to actually talk about ordering the upcoming new-year model with a little something different that wasn't offered on the show room floor. A price was offered. We thought about it for another couple days and did more research. The price was extremely fair and decent. We ordered the car. Just received it a few days ago. Mark took the time to answer all our questions and show us all about the latest technology. Have called the store a few times for some clarity and was answered promptly and courteously. It was an excellent experience. Dave took the time to find the perfect car for our needs. We had to come back several times and take several test drives, one in a torrerntial downpour. He stayed past closing time on two separate occasions and answered texts even when he was not on duty. Aside from his professionalism, I find him to be pleasant as a person and enjoy saying hi to him when I stop in for service on my other vehicles. I first met him in 2017 during a service visit for my Outback when I was wandering around the showroom. I immediately appreciated his sincerity and genuiness. This was my first car-buying experience, and it went as perfect as I could imagine. I walked knowing what I wanted, and they were able to get me exactly what I wanted while staying within my budget. I was impressed that they took the time to show me all of the features of my new car, instead of just telling me to read the manual. I was ecstatic to drive home listening to Pandora using the bluetooth. They even helped me set up my speed dial for using the bluetooth to call while driving. I literally drive 150 miles from Columbus, OH to Park Subaru for Service. I've been to the Dealers down in Columbus and they just can't seem to figure out Customer Service and how a customer is suppose to be treated. Park has it figured out. Poor Service = little or no trust or repsect. I trust Park to take care of my ride and it's rest assured to know that that I'm good until my next trip back for Service and that I don't have to worry about my car being unsafe, and for that, it's worth my drive from Columbus because I know I'll be treated right and taken care of. read more
