I took my wife's Rogue in for an oil change. While waiting in the lobby, the service advisor hands me their, "Automobile Status Report." She informs me that they are recommending "rear differential service" & "transfer case service." Instead of a $79.95 oil change, they wanted me to authorize the work on their recommendations with an out the door price of $289.44. I politely informed the service advisor that my wife's Rogue doesn't have a REAR DIFFERNTIAL or a TRANSFER CASE. Advisor said I was wrong. I invited her to check the VIN. She checked her computer and came back with, "Oh, I am sorry. You're right." I thought about this all the way home. I called and asked to speak with the service manager. When he called back, I explained. I was left with the impression he wasn't too concerned about why I would never set foot in that dealership ever again. I will leave it to you to decide whether this is a reputable business or not. read more

I sold my 2021 Nissan Sentra to Fred Martin Nissan, Lou and Jeremy, for $17,500, October 7, 2023. Lou and Jeremy both told me that the payoff was $17,499. I kept asking Lou if that was the amount the dealership was sending to Nissan Finance and he kept telling me that $17,499 was the payoff. I received letters from Nissan Finance dated October 11th and October 18th certifying that payoff was was received for the 2021 Sentra in the amount of $17,024. $17,499 [stated payoff] minus $17,024 [remitted payoff] equals $475. I later learned that Fred Martin Nissan did not provide full disclosure or complete transparency in the Vehicle Sale To Dealer Agreement, Payoff Amount, $17,499. The dealer did not disclose that they inserted their $475 "Buyer Fee" into my payoff amount of $17,024. The FTC says that bogus fees like this are not to be hidden by the dealership. read more

I was here just a few days shy of my warranty expiring (phew!) because my check engine light came on and my car started acting sluggish. It was the transmission, which would have been very costly to fix out of warranty. I also had to get something fixed with the brakes, but I didn't even care about paying for that, because the worst part of it was covered. Patrick is super nice and responsive and caring. Everyone here is, actually. I had a bad experience at another Nissan dealership, so I am always happy to come here. They are a bit short-staffed so it may take awhile....I am patient and they gave me a loaner, so it wasn't too bad. Thank you, Service Department for showing integrity and care. The he tells me I can get another one from them at a discounted price why should I have to pay for one. I am giving them a bad review because of how they treated my autistic son. My son bought a BRAND NEW car from them, which was a great car but my son took it back because he said the interior ceiling fabric was coming down so he took his BRAND NEW car into them to have it fixed. Yes, he is OCD and yes, he can be a bit overboard. What upsets me is that they laughed at him for bringing it in for that and told him there wasn't a fix for that. Ok...so maybe there isn't, and maybe it was so minor that it's not an issue for anyone else (which is most likely the case) but you don't laugh at your customer when they have a concern. Purchased a used car from them. First off they wouldn't budge a dollar on the price, even though the car was over blue book value, and it's winter time. I already spoke to the previous owner so I was impressed by the maintenance history, so I paid the premium. I drive 4 hours to pick the car up. The unknowingly changed the oil even though it was recently changed, fine; but they put the incorrect oil in the car, which I didn't realize until I got home. What kind of dealer uses the wrong fluid in a fairly new car? Apparently they changed the rear brakes also, but instead of using the correct pads they used cheap metallic pads that squeak bad. Now I have to spend 2-300 more to correct their mistakes and hopefully avoid any damage to my car. What a joke! read more

Brought in our '18 Armada for a warranty issue. They did get the problem corrected. However, a large crack in the windshield materialized, right across your viewing area. When picking up the car the made a point to note "you knew about the crack right? It was there when you first dropped it off." I didn't make a big issue because it's not worth the headache but 1000% the crack was not there. Even the affected mark appears to be from a large blunt object and not a stone deflection. I went here in 2016 looking for a new car. The salesman was too busy hopping between myself and 3 other customers to give me the attention I deserved to spend quite a bit of money on a car. I left and purchased mine at Ken Ganley Nissan Medina. This is quite a drive for me, so when I received a letter about a recall for my hood latch, I thought I would try Fred Martin because it was closer. I also received a letter stating they would extend the warranty against corrosion for a part on the rear suspension. When I got there, I asked them to check this as well and they were hesitant and seemed unwilling to do it. I asked them to also check out a clicking noise I was hearing whenever I turned the wheel. They told me it would be a $70 diagnostic charge for it. I told them nevermind, then spoke with the manager. She said that it takes extra time to test drive it and put the car on the rack and her mechanics aren't working for free. At this point I was wondering how much of an inconvenience it would have been, since they were going to check the rear suspension anyway. According to her, they have a flat rate and Nissan pays them nothing. I told her that Medina would have done it for no charge. While I was waiting, I called Medina. They said they would do the test drive for free, but anything else was a charge. After they brought my car around and gave me my keys, they just said thanks and have a nice day. They never reported back to me about if they checked the rear suspension or not. My husband bought a 2012 Frontier from them. After a couple years, the brakes needed replaced. After he got it home, and $600 later, the brakes still did not work properly. He took it to another garage and had to pay the $70 to fix the mistake that Fred Martin Nissan made. Because of this, he lost trust in the Nissan mechanics ability to do the job. I feel that if you want to do business with a customer and get new customers, you should have good service and bend over backwards to accommodate them. Word of mouth goes a long way. I will never go back to them or recommend them. These people are rude and have no compassion for the customer who is working to pay for the vehicle. If fact, if anyone asks me I will tell them NOT to go there. I noticed in the reviews that only the positive ones were responded to by a Nissan representative, which indicates a lack of caring and willingness to try to make things right. I'm sure there are several poor reviews, yet this location still continues to have poor service and has not been addressed by anyone at Nissan. The place needs re-vamped or closed down. Paid $1,300.00+ for service, maintenance and repairs in October. Paid an additional $1,200.00+ in service, repairs in November. Had to return again in December for the third time where I was informed that my rear differential was bad and needed to be completely replaced for only $2,700.00. The good news. After having $5000 worth of work done at this dealer, and now the car is broken again. Expert mechanic says repairs were done improperly and the car repair is still under warranty, but I am forced to take this dealership to court to get my money to refix their shotty work. Avoid this service department at all costs and the service manager who is so clueless it makes you sick. Avoid this place at all costs! Right when we walked in the dealership Ben was there to answer our questions and help explain the differences between the various Rogue models. We went to multiple different dealerships and Ben was by far the best salesman we met. He was friendly, honest and accommodating. My family and I made multiple visits to the dealership due to our busy schedules and Ben was very flexible with that. He would have the models that I was interested in parked out front and ready to go on days that we had a tighter schedule. On the rare occasions I've had to leave my car for a few days for service they are always quick to provide me a loaner. I've never bought a brand new vehicle. I've always bought used. I came in not knowing what to expect, weary of the stereotypical salesmen you hear about when going to dealerships who just want to make a sale. This was definitely not the case. I knew I wanted a Rogue. My fiancé parked the car and we were immediately greeted by Lou! He sat with us and we discussed what I wanted. As soon as we figured out which model I wanted, he had the car ready to go for a test drive. I drove around and knew this was my new car. I never felt pressured to buy the vehicle at all. Lou worked with us the whole way and made us feel like valued customers. We never felt rushed. My kiddo was especially jazzed about the cupcakes Lou chatted with her and made her feel included in the process. "I like him, he's such a nice man" (kids are good judges of character). I sing the praises of Fred Martin and Lou to everyone. It's out of my way at 45 miles from my home but I don't regret going with Fred Martin. I love how Lou followed up after! Not so much a review of Fred Martin Nissan as it is Nissan's in general, and the Quest specifically. We've had nothing but problems with this vehicle since day one. The windows don't want to work properly; we have talked to other Quest owners, and this is a general problem with all of them. The back-up beeper wants to work when it wants to work; the doors stick and are very difficult to open and shut on a regular basis, and don't even get me started on other engine problems with this vehicle. We've had other vehicles go well over 200K miles without a lot of the problems we had a 50K on the Quest. We're sitting at 135K miles, almost all highway miles, and have put a ton of money into this expensive vehicle. I will NEVER buy another Nissan! read more

went to get my oil change and they told me I had to have extra work done, after paying a total of $236, I called my husband. He ask what additional cost was for. Oil change $22, air filters $25, cabin filter $25. he was ok with these items. however, replacement of brake fluids , he said was not necessary. ,he even ask mechanics he works with and they never heard of this. brake flush was $95 and kit $40/.I felt like I have been taken advantage of because I am a WOMAN. I believe they prey on women/ not knowing about cars and take advantage of the fact that I was afraid that something would happen to my car if I didn't get this done. Well the next morning he calls us and says that they can't perform the work because we had another mechanic working on a completely different part unrelated to the recalled part. So now we have a broken truck and we're going to have to pay for Nissan's mistake. He was horrible on the phone, completely disrespectful. He is the most unprofessional person we've ever come across. I looked for over a year to find a Tahoe I could afford. Purchased a 2007 one owner. It is in great shape, low miles. They assured me it had been gone over with all their inspections, blah blah blah. I have owned it 3 months and from the start the liscense plate fell off the back the bolts were stripped. I spent $ 1.59 at auto parts store for new pieces and fixed it myself. Windshield wipers were horrible, replaced those, door squeaked so I greased it and fixed it, but the major problem is no dome lights come on when opening doors and all 4 tire pressure warnings flash on dashboard all the time. Took it back to be checked they said it was the computer and it was a GM only part so to fix it would be $500. When I asked why this was not caught in all their inspections I was told because it was not a safety issue so they would not have fixed it! They ran this vehicle through the car wash, vacuumed it and put it on the lot I have no doubt about it. I would never purchase from them again or recommend them! read more
