Best pizza I've had in years, so glad I found this place! My family will be dining in and ordering take out/delivery weekly!

Being contacted about my review, come to find out theyve reviewed the business as well. Not on the level.

Update: Was contacted again by a representative of the business (who has also reviewed it). I'm not OK with the weird misrepresentation that's going on, and I reported it to yelp. I'm also not OK with their refusal to follow mask guidelines lumped in with 'average' food as "not meeting my expectations." it's a pandemic, it sucks for all of us, and people in our house are high risk. We were afraid to eat the food prepared near mask-less people. It's irresponsible and unacceptable. 'Bland sauce' is not even on the same level, and having them be equated reinforces that we are never coming back here. Original: the 'owner/manager' George, contacted me yesterday and asked about specifics so he could address it. Last time we got Sergios was in July, and we did not like the pizza. We placed an order tonight to give them another chance. When we arrived to pick up our order, one of the employees in the kitchen (short/buzzed hair, facial scruff, earring) was not wearing a mask. None. Not off his ears, nothing. It looked like the other cook had his below his nose. The mask-less employee brought our order up, and definitely came within 6 feet of me when he did so. We got wings - they were average. Not overly spicy, but tasted like the sauce was just a generic bottled 'hot sauce'. They were big, which is a bonus. We also got fettucini alfredo with chicken and broccoli. The sauce was both bland, and overwhelmingly garlicky. I like garlic, I like garlic alfredo, but all I could taste was garlic, with a garlic after taste that lasts. I've order their pasta with oil and garlic and had an issue with the overwhelming amount of garlic, so I figured it was just that dish. Honestly, it's hard to eat. We also got jalapeño poppers, and they taste previously frozen - and not in a good way. Very disappointing, we will not return.

Ordered from Sergios this time instead of Pizza Factory ....and I think I am hooked ..much more substantial and tastier pizza then Pizza Factory ...great value ..about double the cheese and more high quality Fabris sausage then pizza factory....pizza factory had been going light on ingredients in the past few years despite raising prices ......I grew up in Barrington and ate at Sergio's often back then when the original owner owned it and had his wife and young son there most days..the pasta sauce Sergio's had back then was delicious and very sweet ..and great homemade meatballs I hope they still have the same recipe will try that...Definitely try Sergios .no ambiance here though just carryout ......I think I have a new favorite in Barrington for pizza.....

Sausage and green olive pie

Some years ago, we relocated from Los Angeles to this Norman Rockwellian idyllic Chicago suburb. It was for our daughter's benefit, we wanted her to have a great education in a safe environment, and grow up with midwestern values. For the most part, it was a successful move. At the time, after local exploration, (and my previous choice burning down, not my fault), my "go to" pizza became the thin crust at Sergio's. They've moved a couple times since then, and changed owners, but they are still grinding out great pies for the past thirty years. Passing through the burbs this summer, on a mission to look at some horses for sale, it was appropriate to re-sample Sergio's, and see how my memory compared to reality. While most people identify Chicago with "Deep Dish Pizza" (except Jon Stewart), the thin crust pies are really excellent, cracker crusts, mounds of real cheese, excellent sausage, and square cut. I had a 16 incher. They have larger, smaller, thick crust and stuffed - a full menu of other goodies, too, sandwiches, 'cue, pasta, salads, and small bites. Sergio's crust is flaky, the sizable hand-pulled sausage chunks are flavorful, and the pie has spectacularly high quality cheese. You'll also notice a distinctive difference with the tomato sauce; all of their sauces are made in house, and the pizza sauce is very hearty with a full tomato flavor. Another upside with Sergio's is they charge 15-20% less than local competitors. A welcome respite.

Pizzas were bland and way over priced. Grizzle in the sausage. I won't order again.

Trendy and cozy restaurant hidden off of Northwest Highway in Barrington. The best way to make sure…read moreyou get in on the weekend is either to go very early, but you're best off making a reservation. The service is amazing. Our server, Evelyn, had awesome energy. She was friendly and great at recommending dishes. The busboy (we didn't catch his name) was positive and attentive. The staff really make the spot wonderful. It's modern inside, dark paint, and updated decor. However it feels friendly with the trendy atmosphere. The way these dishes look also match the ambiance at the restaurant. We ordered lots of dishes and they mostly looked great! The Salat Roasted Beet Salad is fruity, thanks to the berries and citrus, with a pistachio whip on the bottom of the dish. It's a heavier dish for a salad, but absolutely delicious and fruity. I also had the San Francisco Style Cioppino was good, but I wasn't expecting it to be like a zupa di pesci, while the flavor was good, I was having FOMO of others eating monkfish and the walleye. The Cioppino had a Louisiana flavored sauce. There was a variety of fish which were all cooked and not overdone. It's a massive dish! We finished off with English Sticky Toffee Pudding and Italian Citrus Mascarpone Cake. The cake was amazing! It wasn't too tart and light. The sticky pudding was also delicious and very sweet. It's a very beautiful restaurant, service is great, the plates look amazing and tastes great. It's definitely a spot to try again!

Will try again with all the good things people say about this place…read more So after all the hype. So many people have raved that this is the spot to go. I went and was underwhelmed my other friends did not have the same experience. They were more favorable. Ok to start. We got three appetizer the bacon, cauliflower, and onion soup. If i stopped with this it was great. Bacon had nice flavor and the pickle were intriguing and good., with a little kick. The cauliflower was fun and the sauce ban bang very good it had nice flavor with all the right notes only complaint was it was cold and not hot. My one friend said it was much better when they had it last time it was hot and good. I think the day we went they must have had kitchen problems I will try again at some point. The onion soup was probably my favorite thing this evening. It was so good and not over powered in any flavor note everything was perfect. So I should have stopped with this. I did have a glass of wine and it was very tasty and it tasted perfect. So if I say so this was an appetizer and maybe dessert place based on my visit. Two of us got the short ribs and one meatloaf was the three meals we chose. So my short ribs were so underwhelming I will start with the food was not hot when it came out. My meat was cooked perfectly and had a good bite to it. The down fall to my plate. The sauce had zero flavor. Maybe some salt could have helped a lil. I was expecting wonderful flavors like taste the port or any herb but it was just bland. The next was the tomato on the plate with the white cheese. The tomato had flavor but the cheese nine. When combined with the meat not a good mix. . It was almost as if it was added to put color but did not blend well with the meal. The meal was ok but again not hot. The best part of the plate was green beans had good flavor and tasty. So on to the next dish's my other friend did not have much to say about his short ribs but it was better last time he went. For the meatloaf they would comeback just for this alone. It was so good best ever. The only thing again was the sauce. Had no flavor. But I do see it was the same sauce port Demi glacé, They were thrilled with the way the beef tasted. I really want to try a dessert but after the experience I chose not to. I do think I would definitely go do appetizers and desserts again. Most restaurant guests had some dessert and it looked like they were enjoying what they got. They also seemed to have enjoyed their meals. So maybe it was just my luck. As for the waitstaff they were great kept the table clean water filled and kept the meal flowing. The server looked like maybe someone called off and was doing great. Managing all the tables with ease. The over all look and feel of the location was very well done nice and not cramped tables the had ample space that was nice The look was very welcoming. Will try again. But will he something different

Each creation was thoughtfully crafted with exquisite flavors. The entire team was warm, attentive and made the evening special from start to finish. My friend and I had an unforgettable evening at Noe. We went on a Tuesday night and, to our…read moresurprise, were the only guests in the restaurant -- which turned the entire dinner into a deeply personal, almost private dining experience. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Jimmy, our butler/bartender, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The hospitality was warm without being stiff, and the service had a level of attentiveness you rarely find anymore. Chef Robert Gadsby personally came out to introduce himself and his team, and he remained hands‑on throughout the entire evening. Over the course of 12 beautifully crafted courses served across about 2 1/2 hours, he tailored each dish to our tastes. Before every course, they asked thoughtful questions about what we liked, what we didn't, and what we were curious to try. It truly felt like the menu was being created just for us. The only small downside -- and I mention this with appreciation for the chef's passion -- is that Chef Gadsby spent quite a bit of time sitting with us and talking during the meal. He's a wonderful man with fascinating stories, but at times I would have preferred to simply savor the flavors and enjoy the quiet moments between courses. Still, his enthusiasm for his craft is undeniable. Overall, the food, the service, and the level of personalization made this one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had. We will absolutely be back. I highly recommend Noe to anyone who considers themselves a foodie or loves a meal tailored to their tastes. And if you can, try going on a quieter night -- the personalized experience becomes even more special.
