Little worried with the 114 degree weather heat outside, but the heat was just perfect. I don't think they have a heating system, and the building stays pretty naturally cool. They open the back door and put in a couple space heaters. I built up some sweat but wasn't drenched like I normally am. I took two classes with Maddy, one hot and one simply called Yoga. She was great, challenging at times but also a nice smooth flow. They have extra towels and mats for use, no charge!!! I'd be a regular customer if I lived in the area.

Wendy is a fabulous instructor who puts a lot of work into ensuring her students' needs are met. She doesn't encourage anyone to push past their comfort, and reads the abilities of each person well. I haven't tried her Barre classes yet, but have been to several yoga classes. I intend to try a Barre class as soon as my schedule permits, so I'll update my review then! Prices are reasonable, and the classes are worth the money. And since it's a small business and locally owned, check out their apparel available too! The therapists are very respectful, personable and professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about muscle tension, body mechanics, chakras, spiritual and cognitive therapies. Since the historic little downtown home (right behind Mr G's) boasts many other services, alongside massage, I wanted to check it out. I love that you can book appointments online on their website, sometimes even next day appointments. The massage room is a great space with historic large ceilings, candles, it is quiet, professional and very relaxing. You can also add on a bunch of other services to your massage - scents, cupping, hot stone, etc etc. but I think my favorite part is Becky's pressure and technique. I go in for deep tissue massage because it seems like I'm always sore in my shoulders and lower back and she really pinpoints those areas with special methods of relaxing and loosening the muscles. Make sure you fill up those summer appointments when you can to keep this great space going!

I'm in Yuma, exploring its offering to those of us here for dental care across the border in Los Algodones. The classes I tried were: Yin Yoga, Tai Chi. After the Tai Chi Class I hopped into an Arial Sound Bath Experience. I'm a small, older person in my 70's with zero previous experience with arial classes. In addition, my mouth has been poked at, prodded, and gouged for the better part of a week and swinging around in a hammock might cause less adventurous souls to skip it. But after meeting with and chatting with the charming proprietess, I knew I'd be in good hands at the least, and at the most I'd learn something new. WELL! After a quick Ai search, I read that: An aerial yoga hammock is a soft, durable nylon fabric sling suspended from one or two ceiling points, designed for anti-gravity yoga, fitness, and acrobatics. It aids in deep stretching, spinal decompression, and strength building by supporting body weight, making inversions accessible to all levels. That's my only ding in this review: I wish there were more details in the class description on the otherwise perfect website. Speaking of websites, this one makes booking classes easy. I noticed a lot of other elder-folks in my other classes and it was wonderful to be in that inclusive atmosphere. I think my teacher for the Yin Class was Carolina. She is a bi-lingual teacher and I learned that most, if not all of Amandalyn's teaching staff all speak Spanish. A great studio. Try something new. And go for it, in a magical environment where the class will leave you buzzing with good vibes all day long!

They have other classes that are more intense as well as hot yoga. The instructor was friendly, welcoming and really good at teaching us through the stretches, making sure everyone was comfortable. Will be going back!
