Lhc the parent company is set up to make the employees thrive. But then assured home health office in Washington near Seattle office is not.. there is one overarching manager over multiple different offices and locations. She will be the one to interview you. Everyone will seem the best almost to good to be true. And this is because it is. This manager is rude. There is no caring. She is very much only working for the company. They do not care about the employees. They are short staffed and working their clinicians passed the breaking point. If you were to go into any of the offices many people are on their last straw and want to quit. But this company draws people in with semi decent pay and truly large sign on bonuses. This would be great but you have to be with the company for at least 2 years or pay all of the money back. This company is not worth the tears that were shed to work for it. You will be micromanaged. You will be overworked and help to impossible standards. And at the end of the day when you don't meet those standards you will be degraded, not only in a private meeting but in meetings that are meant for a large group of staff. Be warned now. Your life and sanity are worth more.. They do not care about the workers or the patient. Only about the money. This company will take patients who dont need services and keep them to get the money.

BUT..... 2 weeks in, she dropped my husband on the floor/bedframe while transferring him to his WC. Things happen as you learn your client and they learn you, so no injury, we moved on. However, my husband is elderly and highly subject to suggestive comments. We found ourselves fighting all the TIME when this caregiver was here. Apparently, it became so bad that I was reported as being verbally abusive... And the company decided my home was too volatile for them to be comfortable sending in another caregiver.... They never asked me why these accusations may have been made, although she was being paid to basically sit on her bottom - vape-play slots on her phone, check her RING cam, and look at ME when he needed assistance! YET..... Once this certain caregiver was gone from my home, it was realized she was "suggesting" to him that I was abusive, he would be better off without me, I was just trying to put him in a home, he could get 24/7 care in home (false) through the VA, etc.... Since this agency is no longer involved, my home is peaceful & serene again, I have competent caregivers, and there have been ZERO complaints from my husband, the new agency, caregivers, the state, etc..... This agency could have been a godsend to my family, but they need to also realize their employees are NOT the only voice that should be heard.... By the way, not sure why they say I on California, but I am reviewing the Olympia, WA location......

I've spent a few years wondering whether to write this review. But time has not reflected kindly…read moreon the experience my parents had with Advanced Health Care. My father is a decorated military veteran and the VA assigned Advanced to provide home health aid for him. He's in his 90s so the home health aid worked closely with my mother who is a compassionate, precise, and capable caregiver for my father. Advanced assigned a home health aid who stoled a large sum of cash from my parents. My mother began noticing money disappear from her purse. She moved her purse into an isolated part of the house and the home health aid kept finding the purse and started stealing from my father's wallet. Yes, that would be the father who earned a bronze star and purple heart in Vietnam. We reported the exact days and amounts of the thefts to Advanced they basically denied that the thefts were happening and told my mother that wallets or purses shouldn't be left out to provide temptation to the home care aid. They blamed my parents for not hiding valuables. What kind of agency hires people that would give in to this kind of temptation? As of my final conversation with the manager there, Advanced had no intention of disciplining the care giver and instead reported the case to social services who sent a DSHS social worker out to evaluate the mental capacity of my parents. Here is the double standard: Certain home health aids steal and victimize clients. Agencies deny the theft and blame the mental capacity of the elder. So the elder gets victimized not once, but twice. Even local police took no action against the home health care aid who took well over $1,000. I have a masters degree in Social Work and I am horrified by the lack of action. I was just home for the holidays and finally noticed that my parents no longer had large serving forks and spoons that our family had used for generations. My mother finally told me that they had been taken by that home health aid. When does this stop? When do agencies like Advanced take responsibility for hiring people that prey on the elderly instead of scapgoating their elderly clients. I wouldn't trust these people to care for my worst enemy. My parents, and your parents, deserve better.

This just happened yesterday, 11/8 /22 so I am still upset. I did wait a day to post, cooled off,…read morebut still angry enought to post. My sister was bedridden with chemo, my mother had just gotten out of the hospital, 2 patients and I work full time. 1st care giver quit the Home Instead company entirely after a week. Having to re-train the 2nd care giver, and 3 weeks later my sister passes away. 1 week after she passed, Home instead re negotiated the 2nd care giver to 3 days a week, which was o.k. 2 Days later they said we could only have her for 1 day a week. What? Offering me a 3rd care giver AGAIN? Taking away the care giver my 90 yr old Mom had grown to love, while she was grieving the loss of her 3rd daughter!! Home Instead is manipulative, raised their rates by 4K a year also.. They have unacceptable conditions on contacting the care giver.. they are so bad with taking messages, they told the care giver that my mother had passed away and my sister was coming home.. They got the message ENTIRELY backwards, it was my sister that passed.. As the customer you have to call the office, then they call the care giver with the message. THAT wasn't the first time they got the message wrong.. The Company doesn't care about the heartache to the 90 year old customer who is grieving the loss of her 3rd daughter and needs the care? What kind of business is this? I fired them right then and there.

This is my experience. It's a long read but important to factor into your decision. This took me…read moredays to write because I don't think this should happen to someone. I would no recommend using this service for yourself or a family member. I recently had a situation with a caregiver and the entire experience from the day she started to way the case manager deal dealt with my call this is my recollection. The care giver *They sent me a smoking care giver when I said that was the one absolute must. *They fired her shortly after she was hired "because something came up in her background check". *They rehired her the next week and sent her back to me. *During this next week of time she -continued to smoke and would lie about it and try to make me feel like I was crazy for reacting to it. (It causes me to cough.) -talked about her family problems and money problems constantly. For the entire day on one occasion. -hinted to needing money. -argued with my daughter about where things should go. -forgot to have me check my medications and I ran out for the second time on her watch. -Didn't complete the "Primary Task" list even once during her time working for me. -Tried to claim more hours worked then said the 7 was a nine and I was reading it wrong, even though the total she added together would have been based on a 7. *After running out of my meds and all the aforementioned instances happening my daughter was upset and left an upset message. The case manager at ResCare *I called to discuss all of this with the case manager and she wasn't available so I left a message asking her to call me back. But when she called back the care giver was in front of me so I said "Hello, I'm sorry I can't talk right this minute. I will call you right back." to which she replied in a rude tone "Oooookaaaaay!?" And I said "Okay, Sorry, thanks." *THEN SHE CALLED THE CARE GIVER! The care giver then accosted me and when I started to cry she stormed out saying "I better not loose my job because of this." *I called the office but didn't get to talk to her and was told I would get a call back. I went to sleep and woke around 4-4:30 without having gotten a call. *I called the office and continued to hold for quite a while and finally when the case manager came on the line she, again in a rude tone snapped "Yes!?" -I asked why she would do that; call the care giver when I was having an issue and couldn't talk because she was in front of me and what if I were in some kind of danger. I told her that was the most inappropriate way to have responded to my call. -She answered my question with her own question asking "Why would you have your daughter leave a message at the office? THAT was inappropriate." -I apologized for the call and again asked "Why would you call her when you didn't know the situation or if I was safe." -Her response shocked me. She said "I had to make sure my CAREGIVER WAS SAFE. -I said "Safe from what!?" -She said "It's happened before." and basically that my complaints were moot because they "needed to pull her out of the home, anyway, because her FINGERPRINTS came back. (That two times she didn't pass the backgrounds, if you are counting.) -I started feeling like I was in some kind of twilight zone and asked for her supervisor. To which she told me the next two supervisors above her were "unavailable" so I asked for someone at the corporate level. -After giving me the number, she remarked "And we are going to have to go over the terms of participation YOU SIGNED because there are SEVERAL things you are out of compliance on. -I said Okay, let's go over those now. My "several items" were: First, she accused me of leaving the care giver in my home alone -I replied THAT never happened. She pointed out the date and I told her she left right behind me because I had an appointment she couldn't come to. -Second, she scolded me saying I needed to make those appointments outside of the time she is scheduled. -I pointed out that that appointment was made months before she started, I didn't pick her schedule AND IT IS HER TASK TO KEEP TRACK OF MY APPOINTMENTS so she should have known. *That concluded the "several items" that needed to be addressed which I felt was just a fear tactic to try to get me not to call corporate. *Another important point during the conversation: she kept suggesting that I didn't want to work with the company anymore saying basically that if I didn't like something I could kick rocks. The text is limited. Full review in pictures. They have still a week later never called me or sent me another care giver.
