My sister was bedridden with chemo, my mother had just gotten out of the hospital, 2 patients and I work full time. 1st care giver quit the Home Instead company entirely after a week. Having to re-train the 2nd care giver, and 3 weeks later my sister passes away. 1 week after she passed, Home instead re negotiated the 2nd care giver to 3 days a week, which was o.k. 2 Days later they said we could only have her for 1 day a week. What? Offering me a 3rd care giver AGAIN? Taking away the care giver my 90 yr old Mom had grown to love, while she was grieving the loss of her 3rd daughter!! Home Instead is manipulative, raised their rates by 4K a year also.. They have unacceptable conditions on contacting the care giver.. they are so bad with taking messages, they told the care giver that my mother had passed away and my sister was coming home.. They got the message ENTIRELY backwards, it was my sister that passed.. As the customer you have to call the office, then they call the care giver with the message. THAT wasn't the first time they got the message wrong.. The Company doesn't care about the heartache to the 90 year old customer who is grieving the loss of her 3rd daughter and needs the care? What kind of business is this? I fired them right then and there.

    Medical equipment ordered by Rehab was not delivered. I made other arrangements. I tried to call…read morethem to cancel the request but could not het through. I called the rehab place and asked them to cancel for me. They called later to say they had not been able to get through and that Apria was notorious for lack of communication. Apria texted me two months later to say they were getting ready to deliver equipment. I texted them in hopes that they would stop delivery. They did not reply, but then sent another text saying the same thing as the first. I figured I would just turn them away if they showed up. I texted again and young man called and confirmed that I didn't want the delivery. A day later a woman called asking the same thing.

I was first told by a not very pleasant CSR that they were on their way 3 weeks ago. When they didn't arrive, I called weekly and was told that they can't track the delivery because there is no tracking number, but they will talk to their IT people about it. Still no crutches. Called last week, was told they'd get it sorted. Still no crutches. Called yesterday and spoke to a nice woman who apologized profusely and promised a 2 hour STAT delivery. No crutches. Called today, spoke to another CSR who said that the crutches were not sent out yesterday but she would do same day today. She asked if I could pick up locally, then told me there was a branch in our town. Great, I said. Yes! She calls the Olympia branch to find out they won't do curbside pickups there, but instead would expect me to drive 90 minutes north to the next nearest branch. My surgery is now 4 days away and no crutches. I cannot state enough how disappointed I am with this company, and will share with my insurance company my experience as well. Bottom line, if you can go with another healthcare/medical supply company, do so to avoid the hassles.

We are a no commitment, no contract agency. You can start and stop service at any time. The price for a hour is $29 and for a 24 hour shift is $375. We take: -Long term care insurance -AVCC which is a tax-free benefit distributed to eligible honorably discharged veterans and their surviving spouses. It does not affect the aid and attendance they could already be receiving. They would also receive a minimum of $1400 a month for care. We have a free 100 point proprietary safety assessment that a trained professional will do before we start care. That way we can asses if there are any safety issues that need to be addressed that we can fix or have set up to fix to help keep our clients safe. This is proven to prevent falls.
