Kinda asked for it when you see crazy cheap prices on their 90 min massages... new to the country was desperate for anything at that point. Had a deep tissue (there was no pressure whatsoever nor did they ask how the pressure was) she barely did my back and spent a ridiculously amount of time on my arms... which I never asked for. Worst gel manicure ever. Let's start with the microwaved isopropyl alcohol soak that warms the fingers and burns with holiday fervor. I selected a bright shade of blue with sparkles. My nails ended up a dark rubbery feeling navy. See attached picture. Most of my nails are pointing upward at a 45 degree angle. Although I complained and pointed out how my nails are nowhere near the shade of blue I picked out nothing was resolved. This will be my first and last trip here. read more

So I called last minute to see if they were able to see me for a hour massage (long shot but I really needed a massage ) And they were able to accommodate right away , I got there and they gave me some forms got them done and literally in 5 min they had me in the room. Worst pedicure of my life, and way overpriced at $40. The polish was all over my toes, super sloppy, and blotchy even after I asked for an extra coat. (see photos) A few of the nails had the gel polish completely come off the next day. I went in today for a mani/pedi and the floor was DIRTY, like it hadn't been swept at all since the prior day. Nail clippings and nail dust everywhere. Not cool especially when I was expected to walk barefoot from the pedi chair to the mani table. My pedicure was fine except that the tech wore gloves and couldn't tell that there was still exfoliation on the when doing the massage, I had to ask her to wash her hands. When instructed to wash my hands there were no paper towels at the wash sink, and when I informed the tech she handed me tiny pieces of cut up towel instead of refilling the dispenser. I'm also not sure if they are properly cleaning the metal tools in between clients as they came out of a box and straight back in when done. I have been here before and the experience was fine, but after today I won't be going back. read more

I had the worst manicure and pedicure yesterday EVER. I will never be back. My nails looks as if one of my students did them. The gel doesn't even go to my cuticles and looks as if it has a week grow out. It doesn't reach the edges of my nails on the sides. I was looking at my toes when I got home and the top coat is just one line down the middle of the nail. It looks SO horrible. I am going back to my normal salon (10 nails) to have it fixed tomorrow. My big toe is inflamed and super sensitive and infected (I've never had this happen before). She didn't even massage my legs during my pedi. She hardly rubbed them down. I can put lotion on myself. I don't need to pay 40$ for someone to soak my feet in a dirty foot tub, rub lotion on my legs and horribly paint my toenails. I could have done that at home. She also didn't do anything to take the dead skin off my heels! I'm so beyond annoyed. I finished my pedi and went over to the nail station. She tried to have me put my hands in a water bowl that was already used on a person while I was getting my pedi done and cold water. She didn't even sanitize the water bowl. She dumped it out in the foot station and refilled it. Then I watched a lady "clean" the stations where my mom and I just had our pedi. She only hosed it down, no sanitizer or anything. I was so beyond grossed out. I will never step foot in this nail salon again. I cannot even look at my nails without cringing it is SO horrible. I am getting this mani and pedi off AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I could have done better myself. I'm so frustrated and wish I could get my money back! All I wanted was my nails to look nice for the first day of school and now I have an infected toe and a terrible paint job. Yay.... it is 2:00 am and I cannot sleep because my big toe hurts so bad! And if the owner responds with the exact same generic response she does to everyone on yelp with a negative review, I'll be very disappointed. If you're going to respond to someone's angry review at least personalize it ‍. People can read your responses. Shows lack of effort or caring about your business. I took my wife here on her Birthday and we had a really great time. We purchased the Ultimate packaged for $145 per person which consisted of a one hour massage, one hour facial, pedicure, manicure, and paraffin wax. The package took about three hours of relaxation and pampering. They have two rooms in the back, one for the massage and the other for facial or waxing. They are very professional and tend to your needs and care. They treated us very well and was very nice for it being our first time. During my brief stay in Portland, I decided to get a mani pedi early on a Saturday afternoon-I called the salon and asked for a reservation with Helena and I got it for the same day at my convenience and when I got there within a couple minutes if that, I wS seated and my "me time" began. She also suggested a 15 minute massage because I mentioned my shoulder hurt, and for ONLY $10! Here 5 days later it still feels fine and I am extremely satisfied with my mani pedi! Pedicure was not a pleasant experience. I was left with sharp edges on my nail. Bubbles in my gel polish...

I don't know what happened to the quality here. I got a full set acrylic with shellac polish and not even 2 days later my hair is getting caught in between my cuticles and nail. The paint is splotchy and the glossy polish is scratched. I can feel the glue under my finger tips and there are little bubbles and tiny round "dents" in my nails. I got mirror finish on my ring fingers and she didn't even rub it in, so it is now worn off and I have a black nail with a little bit of purple sheen. They didn't change the towel under my hands when she was all done and left it there... I don't even want to know if she changed it before I sat down. It didn't go straight to the hamper. And the metal tools she used came out from a drawer and back into the drawer.... I don't think there's a sink in that drawer. Overall I'm pretty disappointed because I thought I'd treat myself to nails again with the money I worked so hard for after a year of not being able to and I knew I liked this place before years ago but now I will never go back. Sorry. But I'm so unhappy with how my nails turned out just 2 days later when they should EASILY last me 2 weeks and be beautiful with the work That i do. read more

I saw the five star rating and thought it would be a good place to send my wife for a surprise day spa package. I was wrong. My wife left very early and said it was unsanitary, unprofessional, and made sure we got our money back. She is only 7 weeks pregnant and they said they couldn't massage her. Instead they dug their nails into her neck and shoulders causing my wife to be in pain. Keep in mind I didn't get her a sports massage or massage therapy for it to be that rough. The rooms were freezing, they had no proper equipment. They had my wife lay down on a dirty bed with makeup still on it which they covered with a towel. This was today 3/18/2016. I've been to this salon a 3 or 4 times now. I always get a full set of acrylic nails usually costing about $45 not including a tip. Don't get me wrong; every time I have come here they always nail the design (pun intended) I show them, no matter how complex and they always look fantastic and just like the design I wanted. However, they are very aggressive (consistently) while filing my nails. It is often uncomfortable, sometimes painful, and my skin around my nails is usually red and sometimes cut. My main reason for the two-star review is my concern of their sanitary practices. Last time I got my nails done, the nail tech used the nail file on me and immediately put it back into her box with her other supplies... you are never supposed to reuse a regular nail file on OTHER people, especially when they have a tendency to cut skin while filing which is highly likely to cause infection! Same situation with the electric file she used later; she did not sanitize or throw away the tip or anything before putting it back in her back box with people's nail dust sprinkling over her other tools. I haven't been back since (don't want an infection!). Overall: great nail art, mediocre service, and poor/concerning sanitation practices. read more

Went in with my daughter about a week ago. The staff is very nice. I have two broken arms and they were very accommodating. We had mani/pedi's. I had regular polish and my daughter had the gels on her fingernails. Not even a week later both of our polish is chipping. With my nails I would normally understand except for the fact that I'm not doing anything with two broken arms just sleeping and watching tv. No dishes, no house cleaning, etc. The one that's really upsetting is the gels my daughter got. They definitely should not be peeling. I don't know how much it cost ,my daughter treated me, but it couldn't have been cheap. We won't be back. Someone mentioned that they MAY thin their polish. First time I went there was 2014. Lately I come every Friday. Service okay. Friendliness is same as most Asian nail places. I show up for my mani today and realize I forgot my phone which has my debit cards in it and I only had $16 on me. I asked if I could get the mani as scheduled then I'd go home to get my wallet. She said no. She wanted me to get wallet and come back. I also had a dental appointment coming up. If i went home and came back then I'd have to wait for her to finish whoever she is working on because I lost my appointment. I couldn't risk being late to the dentist on top of this. We talked back and forth and she would not bend. She didn't trust me! I'm a regular customer! Five years! After all this time. I was stunned. I would understand if I was a new client or looked like someone that would rip her off. But I'm a 60 year old married massage therapist and come weekly. I walked away from her, utterly speechless.
