But he had an active website and scheduling form, so I bought the Groupon and took a chance. He called me promptly to confirm the appointment, and it's honestly one of the best massages I've had in Tampa. The location is easy to find, and there's plenty of parking. His business is inside a covered office park, but there's a helpful sign to guide your way. The courtyard itself is unique to the area and very relaxing. Angel has a very friendly demeanor and great technique. He listened intently to my needs and addressed them purposefully. One gripe I have about most massage therapists is that they'll focus on the areas you specify, but then they'll move on to other areas just because it's "part of the service." Angel didn't do that. He spent the majority of time on my areas of need and not much on the peripherals. My whole right side thanks him! The ambience of the spa is a bit different from most places. Instead of ambient music, Pandora played top hits. It made for a casual experience rather than a "spa day" one, which I wasn't expecting but did not dislike. The process was very superficial, they call it "gentle". It was more like "nothingness". I could go in detail about many of the reasons this was unlike any colonic I've ever had, but will spare details. I'm writing the review because when I gave my feedback to the manager, he was relentlessly defensive and actually turned the negative experience around to place blame on me! Come for the sauna, but save your money for the colonic. It's a pure waste of money and time. You may just walk away relieved from a few farts- you can do that on your own by bending over and drinking some app cider vinegar.

There was no option anywhere in the booking system to apply a gift card as a payment method, and there was also no comments section to explain the situation. I assumed it wouldn't be an issue and that the payment could simply be adjusted on the day of the appointment. Two hours before my scheduled massage I was asked if I could reschedule. I was happy to accommodate and didn't mind the change. On the day of the appointment, my therapist was friendly. However, during my prenatal massage she provided a lot of unsolicited advice throughout the session, which made it difficult to fully relax at a time in pregnancy when relaxation is especially important. Still, I was willing to overlook that part of the experience. The real issue happened at checkout. I was told I could not use my gift card for the service because the appointment had been marked as "prepaid." When I explained that their online booking system doesn't provide any option to apply a gift card, there was no willingness to adjust the payment or offer any kind of accommodation. Situations like this raise concerns about poor booking systems, lack of customer flexibility, and business practices that ultimately leave customers stuck with gift cards they cannot use as expected. Customer service and long-term client relationships don't seem to be a priority here. Unfortunately, this experience ensured that I won't be returning and the gift card meant to bring in a new customer ended up doing the opposite.
