Kaelyn is such a gentle and compassionate spirit. I recently had abdominal surgery and was encouraged to seek out a lymphatic drainage massage that would help my body heal and flush out the toxins of the surgery and reduce post surgery swelling. I've been to see Kaelyn twice now, and she was just as efficient and professional each time. She puts a lot of care and devotion into her practice, and you can see it in the relaxing environment, her demeanor, and her massage work. She is constantly expanding her skill set, as she also recently became a certified Doula. She now has a therapy dog, a cute little beagle terrier that was adorable- and the relaxing atmosphere worked just as well on him, because he fell asleep towards the end of my massage. Received a gift certificate for my baby shower. Turned out to be the best gift ever. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and treatment I received. I was comfortable and relaxed. She was professional but yet warm and considerate to all my needs. The best massage I've ever received. Very hard to stay up, I was continuously fighting my urge to go to sleep. My mother in law gifted me a prenatal massage and I couldn't be happier with her choice (just left my appointment now!). It's conveniently located in midtown in a mixed use building, as many midtown locations are (some apartments, some small businesses) on the top floor. I went through a particularly long labor (69 hours) and was feeling like i got hit by a truck in the days following. Kaelyn from Serene relaxation came to give me a massage in the comfort of my own home and it was the best choice I could have made. Not only was she very skilled and knowledgeable about birth, postpartum care and lactation, she was also very kind and accommodating. Half-way through my massage, my six-day old needed to nurse and she allowed me to nurse him on a the table while I received my massage. I was pleasantly surprised to find Kaeyln through a Living Social deal. I am from the Bay Area and hadn't ever found anyone to replace my masseuse down there. First off I love the simplicity of her place. It is clean, peaceful, relaxing and all about the massage. She has a wonderful spiritual presence. She really takes time to find out your preferences. I bought a Yelp deal quite a while ago and thought I left a review. Oops! I am fixing that mistake now. I had a major knot in my back for months before I went in. It was terrible. I was in so much pain. I left there in so much better shape than I started. My knot was gone, my back pain was gone, my neck pain was gone. It was awesome really. Kaelyn was our doula for the birth of our first child in July 2016. Her sweet, calm nature immediately put us at ease during our first meeting and continually throughout the birth and postpartum process. She helped us create our birth plan and gave us recommendations to prepare prior to the big day. On the day of the birth she aided with calming massage, help with breathing and relaxation. Having her there helped to keep me calm and ease the anxiety of labor that so many women experience. We had the package with pictures included which I highly recommend. Kaelyn is not only a great doula, and masseuse, but she is an extremely talented photographer as well. She captured images while our son was being born, afterwards, and even some priceless and beautiful images of our parents entering the room for the first time which captured their expressions so beautifully. After the birth, Kaelyn followed up frequently and offered support. Also included with the package was a massage. I booked it after the birth and it was literally one of the best massages I've ever had despite my postpartum aches and pains.
