I just went to Serendipity Wellness for a massage with Trena and a facial with Ravi and I cannot say enough good things about both of them! Trena gave me a really unique experience I hadn't had before. She both made sure I had a really relaxing experience, but she also very intentionally stretched my shoulder joints with a variety of stretching techniques and I've never felt more limber. Also, I play volleyball and I immediately felt the difference the next time I played. She is very skilled, thorough, and professional. Next up, I went to my facial with Ravi who had not seen me in YEARS yet still remembered me. Just goes to show you some people are really strong in their interpersonal and customer skills. Ravi also gave me a really relaxing experience. She checked in multiple times to make sure what she was doing was still comfortable for me and when she was done with my face, it looked like I had no pores! Complete baby-smooth skin! I've been several times and always get massaged by Steven. I went to try out an Ashiatsu massage for the first time and I liked it so much that it's the only type I get now - and always with Steven. I always feel infinitely better when I leave and always look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend a massage at Serendipity Wellness Studio. The place is peaceful and comfortable, the staff are friendly and professional and there's designated areas for clients to park. They also provide a bag for your items and a robe with slippers during the massages. I scheduled the $150 Body and Sole package which included 60 minutes of a custom full body massage and 30 minutes reflexology massage. My only gripe was that there was an unnecessary interruption during the Body and Sole package I scheduled. That's because the client, not the masseuse, moves to different rooms for each massage despite the fact there was no scheduled break. Connie gave an amazing therapeutic massage. She combined swedish and deep tissue massages, then placed a warm towel on my back and an eye mask over my eyes while I laid on the heated table. I've been to Serendipity Wellness Studio about ten times in the past few years but recently was my first visit since COVID. They have changed the entry procedures ensuring you and other guest are not entering/ exiting at the same time and there is now a $5 surcharge fee for the extra disinfectant supplies but the service itself remains the same. I've had a few technicians over the years and have tried a variety of massages but Aarion gets my highest recommendation. This man must be a rock climber because is consistent strength is unparalleled. I like a good deep tissue, one that hurts so good as the mussels get forced into compliance and Aarion knows how to manipulate the various muscle groups to provide relief. He has great tips for muscle aches and pains if you ask but otherwise allows you to enjoy your massage in a quiet atmosphere. Overall, the location is great, it's always clean, at a comfortable temperature and there is ample parking. You will have to walk up a single flight of steps, I didn't see an elevator but there maybe options available if that's a concern. I just had a massage here recently.. I found this place by the powers of Yelp and was sooo excited to give it a try based on the high ratings. Not sure why my experience seemed to be an outlier? I found my massage experience to be awkward and not relaxing. I won't name the name of the masseuse. Perhaps I should have stuck with a same-gender masseuse. Also, when I went to pay. It was unprofessional. The masseuse , instead of directing me to the receptionist, asked me straight up how much did I want to tip him. I said I prefer to speak with the receptionist and do the transaction privately . It felt weird . Almost like they were just trying to hurriedly usher me out after the massage was over. Secondly, as a new time client-the receptionist did not want to honor the discount . Overall, I don't think I will be back. Wish my experience was pleasant like everyone else's. I only give 2 stars because when I had set up the initial appointment, the lady I spoke with was so sweet and told me about the first-time client discount. I've been coming to Serendipity for quite a few years now and always have a great experience. I've tried several different therapists and all have been great! I also have enjoyed reflexology, balancing and stretching, the sugar body polish and ultimate facials. If you have a therapist you like, it is important to book at least a month in advance, however, if you are open to anyone, you can always get an appointment within a day or two. Time for an update! First off, this location is close to home! Second, everyone on staff is awesome! Third, pricing is very competitive compared to the big box spas! Tip: on Wednesdays, they offer 10% off a 60 minute or more service. Don't be distracted that you are walking up to what looks like a doctor's office. The entry way has self serve water, hot teas and coffee. They all sell doTerra essential oils and products. You can make appointments online. I loved my new therapist. I had not come in a year or so because I didn't really like the first therapist, can't remember her name. The hubby bought me a gift certificate so I thought I'd give them another try. Based on reviews, I booked with Luz! She is EXCELLENT! I have booked with her twice both 90 minutes and her skill is amazing! She takes care of those neck knots and I don't feel after-pain. She is also trained in Thai massage and I am so glad that her pressure is perfect. She is not a "chatter" which is another super plus! This place is a waste of money. To begin with, they ask for the tip ahead of time so there's the first red flag. During the actual facial, which I was sweetly gifted by my sister, I told the aesthetician my skin goals were to extract blackheads from my nose and cheeks and to combat my skin's overall dryness. After cleansing, she spent a minute extracting three blackheads from my chin then stopped. She didn't even touch my nose, the area where I have the most blackheads, and justified the extremely short extraction period by saying I should pay for a longer service to have my white heads extracted "with a special tool" because according to her, I "have more whiteheads than blackheads." This honestly felt like she didn't care about my concerns and just wanted more money from me. I've gotten facials in the past with blackhead extractions, and I've never been told anything like this. The final moisturizing product after the mask (she only used one!!!) made my skin feel surface-level moist. My face was dry five minutes into my drive home. The only positives were that the cleansing/mask was good (my mom said my face looked very clean) and the aesthetician was nice. Overall, none of my skin concerns were properly treated. My sister paid a lot money to cleanse my face and have a mask applied to it, both of which I can easily do myself. I will not return and do NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

I never write Yelp reviews. I actually logged into my dusty, forgotten account after years and wiped off the cobwebs to leave this one because of how great my experience at Serendipity was. My boyfriend got us a couples' massage - the special occasion being that our bodies needed some healing after the messy blur that was 2020 - and it was one of the best massages I've ever had. His therapist was Raja and mine was Arrion. I'll speak to my experience, although I know Raja did great work too! Arrion has magic hands that target the areas that need it (mine were shoulders, thighs and hips and I communicated that at the beginning). Honestly, I was a bit nervous getting a massage during COVID, but the studio was very cautious of COVID safety from start to finish. In addition to the technique and pressure, there's plenty of small details during my massage that put it over the top (like the placement of a hot towel on my back after Arrion finished working on it as he moved to focus on legs) and the extra focus on scalp - who doesn't love their head rubbed? It's been 3 years since my last massage ... 3 years! And I should say the last few massages I had prior to the pandemic were subpar. Anyway, it was great to get back in for a massage. The establishment is very nice. It occupies what appears to be the entirety of the second floor, so it's very spacious. The room was comfortable--a white noise machine on low along with an iPod playing the sounds of ocean waves and tranquil music to help you relax ... the lights dim ... the temperature not too cold or warm. My masseuse talked with me beforehand and asked questions about any sensitive spots on my body, or any trouble areas ... amount of pressure, etc. And at several points during the massage, he asked me if the amount of pressure was good, and he adjusted accordingly. I should add, also, that this studio has a nice middle ground approach to COVID protocols. You're asked to fill out a questionnaire (pretty standard), and they have you wait in your car until your appointment (their waiting room is closed). I was a little skeptical until I called and it seems like they have a good system in place. I was upstairs and ready for my massage within 5 minutes of calling. They also handle all the payment upfront (including tip), though I'm sure if you want to pay the tip after, you could probably do that. One thing about massages that I usually don't like is leaving the place lathered in massage oil. It'd be one thing if I were going to lounge around a spa or the pool the rest of the day, but for everyday life, being all oily isn't a good thing. Fortunately, my masseuse applied hot towels to the regions of my body after he was done, and he offered me another hot towel at the end to wipe off any excess oil. I really appreciate that. My only "complaint" really isn't directed at the studio or even the masseuse, but it does seem to me that more and more massage therapists are using either their forearms or elbows to apply pressure. Maybe this is a technique they are taught, or maybe it is sort of a way for them to not wear out their fingers throughout the day--I don't know, but I would prefer if massage therapists wouldn't use their forearms or elbows, but maybe that's just me! All that to say, I enjoyed my massage and will definitely go back, especially since this studio is less than 5 minutes from my house! read more

Arrion Holt has been my massage therapist for years on and off. We recently returned to the area and the first thing I did was book a 90 minute massage with Arrion. Serendipity abides by strict hygiene measures to ensure the safety of the therapists and their clients. I appreciated the extra steps to ensure the studio was clean, inviting, and the aromatherapy diffuser just tied the zen atmosphere together. I love the shoes outside the door as to not track outdoor pollutants inside the clean space. Small details like asking clients to close the lid to the toilet before flushing, sustainably practices such as reusable hand towels, refillable soap dispenser, and leaving the bathroom door open after use. Now to the nitty gritty of the massage, Arrion used techniques that made me feel like I was getting a realignment built into a massage. The pressure was perfect from the start to the end of my session. Not once did I have to ask for him to adjust the pressure, which I had had to ask all massage therapist except Arrion. My body does not feel beat up or tired after my session. I want Arrion to spend a full 90 minutes massaging my head, neck, and hands, it's pure magic how he can relive any pressure or aches with his fluid movements. The heat vest and hot towels relaxed my muscles while Arrion worked on other area. I selected the Doterra Lavender as my aroma therapy scent and it was the right choice because I was so relaxed. When I first started coming here, they had an incredible masseuse. I would have rated this place 50 stars at that time. However, I've tried a number of different people since that masseuse left and all were average/below average. For them, you could tell this was just a job and not a craft. That's something I can empathize with, but these massages aren't cheap. I mean do you really want ant to pay $100+ dollars for an average 60 min massage + tip. I have injuries so it does take quite a bit of effort and skill to maneuver around my body. However, it's not something a good masseuse can't accommodate. In my most recent and last experience here, the masseuse moved my knee in a bad way and strained my MCL. I had to ice my knee for a week. Also, it takes a lot of focus and practice to find a trigger point. I constantly found pressure being put on areas where they thought trigger points should be but weren't. Finding a good masseuse is like finding a needle in a haystack. I haven't tried all the masseuse here, but I've tried enough to say - you aren't going to find that needle here. read more

Oh my LAWD. I got the 60 minute custom massage and "the works" organic spa facial (package). It was heavenly. I had my massage with Jordan and it was AMAZING. The massage table was heated (soo nice) and he put lavender oil on the head rest for aromatherapy (loved it). While he was doing my legs he put a heat pad on my back. I decided to forgo all clothing for my massage to maximize my coverage (lol) and I must say Jordan has excellent sheet shifting skills. I felt completely comfortable the whole time. I seriously can't say enough good things. He incorporated some stretching as well which felt great. Like someone doing your yoga for you lol. The facial was also lovely. Yummy mint chocolate cleanser, followed by a mask, pumpkin sugar scrub, extractions (these were pretty painful to be honest, more-so than others I've had. I think using extraction tools instead of hands would have lessened the pain), another mask, a thorough lavender scented facial oil massage, rosewater toner, and moisturizer. The scalp massage portion was my favorite. I will definitely be back for another massage. It cured my stress 100%! :) P.S. I originally wrote this review under the wrong business. I've been a subscriber for over a year now (on a brief break because of covid which is.. honestly devastating lol). The location is always clean, pleasant, and relaxing. Regarding my specific therapist, I see Vannessa, and she is absolutely wonderful. She remembers month to month your preferences and rough spots. Vannessa is also a bit more clinical about working out issues (and a little less ~incense and mood setting) which is 100% perfect for me. Looking forward to when the world isn't falling apart again so I can continue with monthly appointments. It's a little pricy, but if you have a good therapist, it is worth it. read more

The people were so nice, they listen to your needs and ask you lots of questions before getting started. The atmosphere was just so relaxing. Everything was spotless.
