Ordered the guacamole and chips as an app. Delivered to the table with some really good dips as well as the guacamole. Delicious! My wife ordered the beef tacos and I ordered the cheeseburger (was craving greasy burger). Again, both meals were served promptly and were very tasty. Super cute rooftop and a nice vibe to spend your Sunday brunch at. We got guac to start off which was amazing and a few different entrees that I forgot to take pictures of but we're super good!!! I highly recommend the agua chiles to start - we selected the vegetarian rojo option and it was DELICIOUS. Very refreshing on a hot day and a great way to start the meal. My friends and I were staying at the Moxy hotel and we ate at Serena, their rooftop restaurant, twice during our stay. Not only was it convenient, but the food was delicious! We enjoyed everything we ordered from the quesadillas to the fish tacos. Their guacamole was also good and we were pleasantly surprised in the portion size. Their chips and salsa also came with three different types of salsa. The service was always friendly and when they messed up on a cocktail order, they brought out some free drinks to make up for it. Please note the address will trip you up...just GPS Moxy Hotel. It has a lounge area overlooking over South Beach's main street Collins Ave. We started with Guac which is made to order and homemade chips along with two margaritas....yum. Two staples are the make or break for me and a good Mexican restaurant and Serena nailed BOTH of these - 1- A damn interesting and delicious margarita (The Serena is the perfect mix of fruit and spice) 2- A damn good chip ... which is not easy to find... but Serena's are light, salty and delicious. Heard about this rooftop a while ago and finally was able to visit. Went during Miami spice weekend and was worth the pay. All seating is outside so it is exposed to weather. Recommend going on good weather day or maybe more into winter for cooler weather. Bar are is tiny so there are just a couple of seats available. Can definitely be a date spot. Couch like seating very intimate lighting and very green decor with plants and trees covering space and adding a bit of shade. Recommend a visit, you won't regret this little gem at the Moxy Hotel. We were leaving that day and they let us take our luggage with us and put it by the bathrooms 2. Food was delicious! I ordered the shrimp aguachile and tuna tostada. All the food tasted very fresh. 3. Atmosphere is super trendy and cute. Especially the inside bar area! 4. Fans! Thank goodness for all the fans to help control the heat and humidity. 5. Good views Not so great: 1. Our server did not come by once to check on us. We had to flag two people down to get our check. 2. One of our friends left early. There was some miscommunication in which they rolled out all of our luggage instead of just hers. One of the girls was seemingly annoyed that they had brought it all to us when it wasn't needed. Another friendlier server said it was no big deal to take it back. Once we had our check, we went to grab our luggage ourselves. Service was the worst part of this restaurant. We had a reservation on July 4th, the restaurant was not crowded, however we were placed in the worst seats in the restaurant. We asked more than 2 times to move to another seat (to enjoy the ambiance/view). We were told no other seats were available, although no one ever sat in those seats during our 1.5 dining experience. We also asked for the fan to turn towards us after people left a table, this also did not take place until we were about to leave (45 minutes after the table was empty). They also ran out of shrimp- which was a bit odd for a holiday. The plus side- the food and drinks were amazing. Best guacamole I've ever eaten. Oysters were great. Fish ceviche was great. The seating area is all super cute and there are fans and shade everywhere so it's a very nice break from the heat. The bad- the aguachiles was $24. The tuna tostada was $28. The chips and guacamole was $17. The frozen pina colada was $18. So with tip we paid $114 for lunch. PRICY. Everything tasted good, but that is a LOT to pay for a drink and chips and guac. Also, we had to flag someone down for more water and the check because our waitress never came back to us after she initially took our orders. A man brought us our food but he never took away our finished appetizer or the plates so our small table was just really crowded with dirty plates. The service definitely leaves something to be desired. Overall, some good, some bad. I'd say the good slightly outweighs the bad? But for the price I don't think I'd come back. read more

Oysters Serena - DELICIOUS, one of the best oyster dishes I've ever had. Such great flavors! Huitlacoche Quesadillas - never had huitlacoche before so I jumped at the chance to try them. Very umami, like an intense mushroom. We loved this! Flatiron Steak - Good, but if only for the quality of the ingredients. The dish itself was very simple and didn't seem particularly special.
