Cute, well maintained RV park. Pros: The flowing river was amazing! Big trees for shade Large dog park Close to the National Park Office staff was very nice Grounds were well maintained Prices were good Great "swimming hole" for the river Cons: The parks dump station was in the middle of the park and right in front of our RV. Spaces 11/13 Bathroom was far from RV sites. Wasn't a problem for us but could be for many. Most sites don't have sewer hook ups Wasn't a true 30amp hookup Could use a playground for kids They have many signs about keeping dogs on a leash but it isn't enforced. Two campsites had their dogs wondering around by themselves all day Sites aren't as big as they look on the map so pick accordingly

Despite being a riverfront area, your designated space is too small if you wish to hear your neighbors' toilet flush every time they use their bathroom. This is a perfect spot. Our rig is the one to the right. our neighbors rig is literally next to our pick nick table. Very uncomfortable. Search elsewhere.

We LOVE camping here. The campground is very clean. It's quiet. 15 min drive to Sequoia National Park. The views are beautiful. Spacious campground to take walks or hikes. There's wild turkeys in the area. The watering hole in the summer is fun.

The place to stay on your next trip visiting Sequoia in an RV is here. This place rocks! Not only is the town of 3 Rivers seemingly a real life version of Mayberry with an adorable feeling of yesteryear, but the people that work at Sequoia RV Ranch are so warm and friendly. During our stay, we had the opportunity to meet Rebecca, Laura, Tim and Debbie who all treat you like family. This park is absolutely gorgeous, nestled in the tree covered setting of this community alongside one of the 3 rivers. The park had all of the benefits and amenities you could ask for, and is super clean and organized. I can't recommend this place enough! -Pismo Bob

Deluxe by the river (site #34)

If you have an RV and want a nice place close to the Sequoia National Park, I would recommend checking this place out. It's a nice park that has a nice bathhouse (bathroom, shower, and laundry area) and good area for your RV and extra car. We got the Deluxe by the river and it was really nice. We even had our own firepit, which was really cool, and a picnic table. It was very easy to check-in with the office and find your own spot. The person who helped us with check-in was super friendly, kind, and helpful. She provided us extra chairs she had available and with our water pipe (cause ours had a leak). Only reason why I gave it a 4-star instead of 5-star was because the WiFi is really weak, especially when this area has no service for your phone. So just be aware that you will have really spotty reception for your phone.

Beautiful facility! Easy to reserve online, got to basically pick the spot I was interested in based on requirements. Staff was nice and helpful. Happened to get a river front space for rv.. Which i Highly recommend! Full hook ups Listened to the flow of the river all night and it was so peaceful! The place was pretty busy on a Sunday night when we arrived and everyone around us was kind and friendly. This is during covid. Family oriented as well as pet friendly. Only 8miles to sequoia entrance. We Will come back again and I highly recommend this place. Oh we ended up doing late check in after office hours and they made it very easy and comfortable for us to just show up.

We've been here twice now and have nothing but great things to say about this place. It is beautiful, spacious, and a great location. The river is not far from the site we stayed at and at night we could hear it running. So peaceful. The office is always inviting and the staff are friendly. I love buying their magnets and rocks that are painted by a local artist. Can't wait to get back here.

Before I visited the place, I had heard of the Sequoia National Park several times throughout my…read morelife and all these mentions amounted to me believing one large fact: that the place was a sprawling, maybe never ending, sea of deep forest pageantry. And do not get me wrong, the place is in fact miles and miles and cubic centimeters of forest as commonly imagined. It had tall trees, meadows, dirt paths with twigs and shrubs all around and views so expansive the word majestic comes to mind. But after walking the same scenery for hours the beauty in green became a dull brown motif. Wood sprites might have heard my words or seen my unimpressed and tired face because Sequoia stopped being a forest of trees and green and it started to become a land of different weathers that not only gave me new challenges and vistas to experience but it also gave me beauty I had to endure. As I saw my friend Denise walk into a spherical cloud of fog, I realized that this place oscillated between being both proof of nature's magic and her jagged disposition. The fog seemed like a portal to Avalon where Pulk waited with prose, but it was also a reminder of all the sailors and drivers lost when the thickness of mist impairs good visual choices. The fog sphere was seen after Denise and I walked for hours, uphill, to see Morro Rock. As we walked up, we first passed mist that seem to have broken from a cloud. This was a sensational moment. She and. had both skydove but this is the first time where we felt like we walked through cloud veils, insetad of zooming past them with the hope of gravitiy abandon. I do not think I will ever re-feel the sensation of walking on cloud air, literally. She and I got separated. I thought I could follow the signs. But the signs were tricksters. As I walked toward the museum I saw a sign that said this way to Crescent Meadow. I did not see a sign that said this way to Crescent Meadow (pointing to the left) and this way to the Museum (pointing ahead). I assumed that because I no longer saw signs assuring me that I was on the right path, I must have gotten into the wrong one. I share this as the biggest piece of advice that I wish to give: Stay the trail, despite not having signs of reassurance that you are still in the right direction. The signs, and my broken internal compass, are both valid reasons as to why I eventually left the designated path and got lost. Like legit lost in the wilderness of Sequoia. I was not in an episode of Naked and Afraid but I did feel scared, disoriented and like I would not see my life tomorrow. Before I got to this point of panic, I arrived at a bluff of a white mountain that saw me greet miles of green pines that streched as far as the eye could see. It was a Rocky-like-triumph moment, except that I had to drag myself, as I sat, down this white mountain, but that was my survival experience that I am proud to have endured. After sliding down, I searched for paths that seemed walked on before, and found several that I had to follow and eliminae. I climbed over trees by hugging their fallen bark, and almost lost my shoe. I continued and eventually found a path and others humans. I was save for now. I got lost again but this time my survival was quicker as I walked down to the road. Rangers told me that I was not able to ride in the truck after I explained I was scared and unable to find my way twice. One of them told me to follow the road and eventually I would hit the museum. I did just that and I found my friend Denise waiting in the museum. After hugs laced with relief, she and I continued our trek to Sherman. But we got hit by rain. I had a hoodie. She did not. Her face looked beautiful covered with the remains of heavy rain. We walked and the sleet followed. We were wet, damp, and we were scared. What could be next? We could not find our path to Sherman. We waved people down, hoping that someone would take us to our car near Sherman. Eventually, we met Chester and he let us both into his car. The snow now was falling hard. She and I did not expect snow. We did not expect white to fall from the sky not when we were promised green on top of green all around. We got to the car and she drove in Snow for the first time. It was both scary and and beuatiful. I imagined that I was in snow caped mountains seeing frozen giants walk around. The night was gray. The monsters were there. She worried about us not having snow tired but still we drove down the snow covered pines, in a pilgramage to safety. Before we left the park we saw mist contrasted in the dark of the knight. It was a spooky evening, yes, the one that frames scary stories. But for us the night mist was further proof that Sequoia offers weather that is cyclical within a day. With space from the experience, I am only happythat I visited the place and was ensconsed by its many seasons. And, grateful that I survived the beauty of it all.

I believe it was roughly 45 minutes to get up there to begin to see these trees and the road was very long and windy and at one point I was for sure we were going the wrong way even though there's only one way I was for sure. But after that 45 minute drive up, you begin to see these remarkably tall, beautiful sequoia trees as far as they I can see and each one of them more breathtaking than ever we went during winter so I definitely encourage you to check and make sure that you don't need to bring snow chains because to travel to a lot of the areas in winter and other seasons, you might just need snow chains to make it My family had a great time we spent just a few hours walking around and enjoying the beautiful view the fresh Mountain air and getting a chance to interact with other people traveling from all over the country who had come to visit as well. This is also something you must add to your bucket list because even though we only got to see 1/10 of this park, we already have it put back on our bucket list to go again because there's so much more to see here truly breathtaking views and just a relaxing experience all the way around.

However, Horse Creek was a good introduction to the camping world. At $20 a night, you get your own campsite that can fit up to 8-10 people. We were able to fit about 4 tents. The ground was flat enough to set up camp, and the grounds to eat and chill were spacious enough. As for the bathrooms, the showers are fairly clean and the toilets aren't too shabby either. It seemed like they were cleaned on a daily basis. As for entertainment, the campsite is right near the lake so every morning I woke up to the beautiful sight of nature - the sunset was pretty as well. The lake wasn't too dirty, although I would recommend water shoes. Also, the main office has friendly staff to answer any questions. Ultimately, if you want a campground that's at the bottom of the mountain (it's only 10-12 miles away from the entrance of the Sequoia National Park) that's clean and family-friendly, this place is extremely solid. I highly recommend it.

Thankfully they only allow half the sites to be reserved and they moved us to an open spot, right at the front. It also gave us an easy spot to fish from the shore in the mornings and evenings. I'm glad we chose this campground when finding a weekend getaway. I heard it gets crowded inside the main campgrounds in Sequoia Park. Sites are well spaced out. Each spot had either a canopy or a tree for shade. Of course theres a fire pit too. The bathrooms were sufficient. 1 shower inside, with hot water. The local general store is within a 5 minute drive to get firewood and supplies and Kaweah Marina is close by too to rent a patio boat to enjoy the day on the lake. They will close the gate entrance at 9pm sharp. But you can park in the dirt lot or next to the gate over night. The exit is open all night, but its got those 1 way spike strips... exit only.

Staff/Facilities: The camp manager was very nice and welcoming. The bathroom and showers were clean and maintained. (Hot water too in shower!) Our campground was in the center next to others but we weren't disturbed. I included a camp map to help others with choosing a good spot. I would recommend 7/8 as they are in the back away from everything. Also, there is no potable water and while there is a camp store, it was closed when we were there.
