We stopped in for a tasting on a weekday late morning / early afternoon, and it was not crowded at all. We had a lovely tablet right by the window, allowing us to overlook their beautiful property. It was a little chilly during our visit, but during the summer months, I'm sure it would be beautiful to sit outside for the tasting. We did spend a bit of time walking around the property, which I'm glad we could do - it was truly lovely and with great views. The wine tasting itself was excellent - we tried just the right amount of wine, and I appreciated all the backstories and info our server gave us with each one. I particularly loved the Fairsing Vineyard Pinot Noir (this is the Willamette Valley, after all!), but all our pours were delightful. The quality was high, the wines were complex yet simple enough to understand, the service was wonderful, and the views (even on a cloudy, chilly day) were impeccable. We wound up taking a few bottles back with us, which was a great move to continue the experience even after we left the premises. I would recommend Fairsing to anyone looking for a true Willamette Valley winery experience!

We were immediately greeted by their friendly staff. Despite being busy, they accommodated us in their main tasting room. They were quick to pour and tell us all about their wines and blends. Boy do they know their wines! We had a lovely time and conversed with many of the staff our first visit. It just felt like family. Not typically my MO, but we actually signed up for their membership our first visit! We thoroughly enjoy our quarterly wines... so much so, I'm drinking a glass as I type this review! A benefit of membership is getting to visit on a regular basis for tastings. We love to bring friends and guests who have all enjoyed it thoroughly. When you go, make sure to get a charcuterie platter, it is DELIGHTFUL!!! Looking forward to visit again, it's worth your 45 minute drive from Portland!

We actually attended an event in the afternoon that Cho was part of and were able to visit with Dave. We knew when we headed to Cho we were too late for a tasting but were hoping to squeeze a glass in before the they closed. My friend really wanted me to see the tasting room cause he knew I was a member and would appreciate the space. Thank you to the team and Lois for accommodating us. It was a fight day and we were there late so I definitely will be back when it's lighter out. Really loved the space warm and welcoming and reflecting their culture as a fellow Asian American I loved it!! I already knew the wine would be wonderful otherwise I wouldn't have joined. But another goal of my friend's was to have their Rock Syrah it's one of his favorites. We drank it there and bought a bottle of the Syrah West to enjoy back at our hotel as we had some time to waster before dinner. Can't wait to visit the area again always a pleasure to visit with Lois and Dave was nice to be able to do it in Oregon instead Seattle.

We are rooted in building from the ground up- first with the planting of Paul's father-in-law's vineyard in 1998, then the creation of Bergstrom Wines in 1999 and next, the planting of our own vineyard. The experience gained in these early years led us to the creation of our brand de Lancellotti Family Vineyards in 2005. The beginning years opened our eyes to biodynamic farming- a holistic practice of farming used for generations in the premiere vineyards around the world, but one that is largely misunderstood until you have spent a lifetime in vineyards. Attention to detail starts in a farm. The peers we respect most in this industry are those whose farmer's mindset is rooted in the health of our planet. Today, de Lancellotti wines are a result of fruit sourced from some of the finest vineyards in Oregon, hand selected and intentionally farmed throughout the year. Our wines are produced in a shared winemaking facility, with great friends and peers, located in McMinnville, Oregon under the guidance of consultant Robert Brittan. Simply put, farming great vineyards and sourcing the finest Pinot noir and Chardonnay is our passion.

Highly recommend because of the relaxed atmosphere...art adorns the tasting room for purchase...and the backstory to that caught my attention. All of the artists paintings have a life story. But on to the wines! Our party enjoyed the Rosé of Gamay Noir...sunshine in a bottle! Elegant & delicious...definitely as the French say "Yummy". The 2023 Aligoté ohhh man... *sighs* I can still recall how this could be the winner for crab cakes or seafood. They are among a hand few of estates that produce this in Oregon. We were fortunate enough to taste the Sauvignon Blanc that is grown lower in the vineyard. John, the passionate proprietor, described how this was unique to Oregon and it is. He described how the location of the vines receive a warmer growing climate...and it was evident as we toured. The Savignon Blanc was unlike anything...I lived in New Zealand, and I appreciate Sancerre ...their Savignon Blanc crossed that bridge with bliss to my taste buds. Worth it!!! The Chardonnay was exceptional as well... I believe the 90 plus scores from wine writers and critics...it was paired with Seasonal Salad with PNW Salmon Arugula, radicchio, shaved cabbage, green leaf lettuce, cherry tomatoes, radish, and hazelnuts with green goddess dressing...just enough acid and just enough fruit, wonderful balance. You be the judge! Onto the Pinot Noir... Paired with four month aged Beemster goat cheese. It was a 2021 that shined. Just enough body like Sophia Loren, just enough depth like a podcast you want to listen to again and again. Captured my palette for sure. Next it was the Gamay Noir...not sure how you wine folks like Gamay or have had experiences with per se...their Gamay Noir is svelte... it's like you're a kid and... it's your first dance...it's delicate and light...it has sensibility...harmony... a perfect dancing partner... Make a reservation and explore this unique place. What makes Oregon wine country unique are the people and the way they farm. Hats off to Balsall Creek! Will be back!
