I hate to say this because I have gone to Michael's for many craft needs in the past I go there…read moreregularly to buy yarn and I also I go there regularly to buy drawing supplies however the last time I was in there I was discriminated against by who I presume was the manager, as he was wearing a collared shirt and slacks. To me this was incredibly hurtful not only because of how much money I have spent there but because I was not doing anything unusual, I was only shopping and they would not let me shop, as the manager and a older female associate kept circling around me in the isles asking each other if they saw if I had put back the previous items I was thinking of purchasing. so I ended up not even buying anything. I handed the drawing pens to the man and said "no thank you. I can not purchase anything from you because of how uncomfortable you are causing me to feel by not allowing me to browse." I'm not sure if it is that they are discriminate against Russian individuals at this store, or perhaps the manager man has some kind or xenophobic problems with his life. I do not know. In the past I have had no problems like this when shopping this michaels location, However I think I will from now on go elsewhere to get my art supplies.

The co-owner Keri, helped me with a large blanket I was working on where a stitch had fallen off several rows behind where I was working on straight needles. She spent a good deal of time pulling out several rows to correct & then put me in circular needles-which she just gave me to finish my blanket. She went above & beyond to help me, was kind, generous with her time incredibly helpful and provided excellent instructions to help prevent my mishap from happening again! This is the only knitting store I will ever go to in Port Townsend!!! Thanks again Keri!

A group of four of us went on Saturday & there was one other lady working on a glass project (she's a frequent & was super kind & helpful). Most parties were painting pottery. The worker that helped us was sweet but it was her last day. We spent about 3 hours there. The worker mentioned that on average people spend about an hour there for their first time. Our pieces were a little more intricate so it took a little longer. For 5 pieces it was $200 total. Our pieces were ready for pickup in 7 days because they have to fire it. They can also ship your pieces. Tip: Look up some inspo online/pinterest before you go in. Also I traced the fruits on my phone because I'm not good at drawing.
