Very nice store and good help. Sometimes in yarn stores the owners or workers can be sort of snobby, not that interested in the average customer who may be a beginner. But at Bazaar Girls they were very nice. There was a lot of fine yarn (like for socks) and I'd love to see a bigger variety of heavier yarns. read more

nice shop, gorgeous interior and nice location. good yarn selection although pricey; when i mentioned i was a crocheter and didnt knit the employee(?) seemed a bit yarn snobby. read more

Writing under my husbands account: I had a Wonderful Experience at Bazaar Girls knitting shop in Port Townsend! The co-owner Keri, helped me with a large blanket I was working on where a stitch had fallen off several rows behind where I was working on straight needles. She spent a good deal of time pulling out several rows to correct & then put me in circular needles-which she just gave me to finish my blanket. She went above & beyond to help me, was kind, generous with her time incredibly helpful and provided excellent instructions to help prevent my mishap from happening again! This is the only knitting store I will ever go to in Port Townsend!!! Thanks again Keri! read more

My friend and I bought some yarn in this store to make a particular project. I forgot to ask which option was knitted in the sample. I called the owner Dianna, she remembered us, and was ever so helpful with the project, going so far as to count how many stitches were used in the sample! That is great customer service. I will be back! Thank you. Shop was clean and well stocked with many options! read more

I have loved this shop for years!! Anytime I could get to port Townsend I would have to stop in and I would find inner peace inside and the people are always so nice!! They let you browse and touch all of the fiber and I have appreciated just being there!! Thank you for giving me a space to go to right by the sea water!!! read more

My mom is a quilter, and my sisters and I used to bemoan all the times she pulled us into local quilt shops when we'd go on vacation or drive through a new city. Well, LOL at me, because I have become her except with knitting/crocheting and yarn shops. Oops. This location is great, though, because I can disappear inside while my husband has a million other shops to choose from while I'm shopping. The owner of the shop is super knowledgeable. Not only did she help me locate all the local dyers, she showed me some yarn you can't get anywhere else, and talked through some other yarn projects they do, which I had never seen before. How cool! Even though I had already bought 9 skeins of yarn in Victoria a few days prior, I had to pick up some local Washington yarn as well. Souvenirs! Better than collectible spoons. read more

For starters, the building and shop space is gorgeous; there is so much natural light. It is such a lovely, welcoming space. Now the yarn! So much yarn! You are just surrounded by texture and color everywhere you look. After a while, your eye gets used to the yarn and you notice all the amazing samples everywhere. This shop is chock full of inspiration. The shop owner is very helpful and friendly. I'm a new knitter, so she was a huge help in offering advice on yarn selection. Just like their wall hanging states, 'no one here is an asshole.' Well, at least no one working there is one! read more

Wow! Did not know about this shop and it is awesome. If you are a spinner, you definitely need to check this place out. As much as 1/3 of the stock was rovings and I think my daughter was going to make me buy her a wheel then and there. Great selection, neat use of an historic space with lots of natural light. read more

Love this shop! My all time favorite! Friendly and helpful staff beautiful local yarn selection too!

Such a fun place! A wonderful selection of yarns and buttons. The owner was a joy to chat with. She even wound my yarn purchase for me while we talked. Beautiful building as well. read more

The Bazaar Girls offer a wonderful selection of yarns in all price ranges. Go in and browse a while, or take a class, or hang out and knit with others. They also have lots of unique buttons, embroidery supplies, and books. Kerri, one of the owners, has an uncanny memory for what projects her customers are working on, and you'll always feel welcome when you visit. If they don't have what you're looking for, ask, and they can usually order it for you. read more

My girlfriend is a seriously talented and devoted knitter, and having this store in her town is a huge bonus to what is already a fantastic place to live. The product is fresh and interesting. The service is great, pricing in line with what wool shops need to charge to thrive and the quality superb. I am just a plodding knit and purl hack but I appreciate visiting here and the knitted goods I get with materials from here. They have a great knitting circle, so if you are in town visiting, stop in and see when it is ( Sunday afternoons for sure) and join in to get a taste of local colour, warmth and humour. read more

Awesome Store On the Puget Sound Yarn Crawl. While in line for the ferry I realized I did not get my passport stamped. I called them, they drove down to the terminal to make sure I got that stamp. The store is warm and inviting. Lots of local fiber for spinning. Awesome yarn selections and knowledgeable staff. Even though it's a bit a trip to go there I will be going back. I love this place. read more

Not knowing too much about fine yarn, the proprietor was very helpful in finding a gift for my daughter.

As a beginner knitter, I was thrilled to find they offered free time to come sit & knit. Very helpful when issues came up & confusion set in. Not to mention the gorgeous endless selections of yarn! A true gem in Port Townsend. Fast became my favorite place to sit & knit Thursday nights. read more

Great shop my husband found for me! Friendly staff and they had the exact yarn I needed.

This place is just awesome - the NICEST owners! The store is unique & gorgeous, with fabulous high ceilings, an old red brick wall, and a great patio to sit on while you knit outdoors and look at the Sound which is only 100 feet away. Oh, and great yarn selection! read more

Enjoyed my visit to Port Townsend for my birthday. After checking out of the Mansara Castle, I knew my stay would be best finished by finding a knitting store. I never planned to buy anything since I already had a stash of lovely yarn at home. Yet, I found this quaint and lovely store with an interior of wood floors and brick surrounding. The moment I walked in, I saw a mannequin with a lovely "watermelon like" colored striped sweater. The yarn was lovely, the pattern is called the "Elfe." I gave it some thought. Yet, when I turned around and drifted a couple of feet... I found a cape like knitted coat that was displayed over a lovely and feminine hand-made dress. I thought this cape would look nice over a dress and at a symphony. So, I went with this. The owner and her husband were so friendly and so easy to talk with. I love this store. I wished I did not live so far in Renton. They have an outdoor sitting area too. Overlooking the water. Only a knitting needle throw away. I hope to get some knitting gals together and return for a stay, and to knit in their outdoor area. I am starting their "Cape To Dye For" kit as of September. These are nice people. The environment was easy and elegant. read more

Damn, this is one gorgeous yarn shop with a fabulous back porch and view of the water. Since I'm not a very good knitter, I just wanted to buy their samples but those are not for sale:( Still, I'd highly recommend this to anyone who can knit, knows what to do with a pattern and so on. read more
