I have lived on the Peninsula since 1984 and aside from traveling the western states for a few years it's been my home. We love this store because those that work here have always been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Our children enjoy getting an Apple, Bananas or Carrot while we shop. The prices here have always been competitive with the "box stores". This is a great aspect when considering where to shop. To have fruit, produce and meats feom local farms at a reasonable price is one of many reasons we enjoy shopping here at the Co-Op and were quick to pay for the lifetime membership. Yesterday (19 Sept 2025) my wife and I went in for grocery shopping and everything seemed like a normal shopping experience we've come to expect. My wife has been enriched to finally have a service dog that goes with her medical conditions from her service in the Navy. She decided to stop having her service dog wear his vest and goggles (both were part of his suit as he was trained in both while he was a K9 for the police in Pocatello, ID). It was overwhelming for her to have people approach her and talk to her about her k9 (never seeing one so well trained, how cute he looks in his vest goggles, etc.). My wife was asked on 19 Sept if her k9 was a service dog by a lady who works at the Co-Op and she must have been a new hire as my wife and I haven't seen her working before yesterday. Most of the people who we interact with that work in the store all know my wife's service dog by sight and have the respect to not engage regarding our k9 in an invasive manner. The lady last night was not respectful, rather she treated my wife as if my wife was lying to her about our k9 being a service dog. Then after we got in line to checkout my wife realized she wanted an onion and a man stocking the produce stopped her and abrasively asked if the k9 was a service dog. My wife did not rest well and felt mentally off the rest of the evening. I realize it is important to keep pets outside of an establishment that offers fresh fruit, produce and other foods. It would also seem important with such a diverse array of people that frequent this store to have those working there know the importance of being professional, respectfu and tactful l when approaching anyone for any reason. Especially when it may be an interaction with someone who may have a service dog with them. Sadly people cannot teach someone how to use their intuition. I've seem many pet dogs, most of which are not trained well enough to be in any building. My wife's service dog is off/on leash trained, he's in tune with my wife's needs intuitively and never leaves her side even when we are home he next to her. It is a great comfort knowing that my wife has a k9 that can be there to protect her and keep her safe should any medical condition arise. My wife is now contemplating on whether she will be coming back inside the store as the stress created from the disrespectful manner has not allowed a restful night. I believe our new course is that she will no longer answer any questions from either staff or those who shop here. I will stand in for her so that she doesn't feel socially overwhelmed by those who choose to be disrespectful in their approach.

When we do come here we actually go for the toys. We love to shop local and they have a pretty decently sized toy selection and they sell really good brands like Hape, Tonka, Melissa and Doug, and Green Toys. I will say they are a bit over priced (this is the reason for 4 stars) and you could sometimes get a toy cheaper just buying directly from the manufacturers website. But as I said we love to support local businesses and they sell the toys we like to buy for our son. And like I mentioned the staff are really nice. This last trip we were going right before close and someone was vacuuming and my son is not a fan of loud vacuums. So the lady noticed that stopped the vacuum and then had a conversation with him about his new toy. It was a very good experience.

"A" for effort! I hadn't gotten embroiled in the political side of things since I don't live in the…read morearea and I flew to Washington primarily based on this festival (I'm from Hawaii). I know there's some kind of feud going on between the flower factions of this-and-that but it didn't stop me from going. There's not a whole amount of information out there about the Lavender Festival so I had to do some digging before I went (mainly via Youtube) but I was pretty amazed at the collaboration and effort that goes into making this festival a reality. This is a large-scale operation that involves not only the main town but the outskirts as well: The main festival is located in downtown in Sequim. Parking is tight as the other reviewers have mentioned but I pulled into the heart of it and paid a $10 fee in a private dirt lot. When you are limited on time, you just gotta pay. It was very hot and I wasn't sure if I'd be buying a lot of things and didn't want to lug them down several blocks, so I paid for the convenience, which I didn't mind. There are a lot of vendors: food, drink, rocks, lavender stuff, flea market junk, hippie new-age stuff, crystals, plants, clothing, etc. It's like your typical farm fair. FOOD: I was really hoping to try a bunch of exotic lavender-flavored items since I've read about their lavender flavored shrimp in year's past but all I encountered were some lavender cocktails (delish) and lavender ice cream from Olympic Mountain (blew my socks off). As far as real food was concerned, it was a wash. I ordered a veggie plate from a local "Thai" vendor and it was terrible. Seating was very limited in the shade around the food stations. There was a lot of seating in and around the booze tent but it was under the hot sun, no thanks. The kid and I ended up sitting on a bunch of hay bales under a tree eating our ice cream. The kid had to wait outside of the tent while I sucked down my French Connection ($8). Toilets were porta potties scattered about the premises. The other half of the festival is on the outskirts of Sequim and some of it overlapping into Port Angeles in the various lavender farms that participate during the festival. I found out which farms were free by snagging a free periodical left in the hotel lobby and decided to visit them during the festival. Due to limited time, I couldn't visit all the festivals I had desired, so I stopped at strategic ones along the way (they deserve their own ratings). No matter if you are visiting the farms or the festival downtown itself, be sure to slather on the sun screen, take a bunch of cash, water, wet wipes and plan on meeting at common spot if anyone gets lost. I'll be coming back that's for sure. Despite whatever is going on between the War of the Lavenders, I'm grateful that this festival lives on and I am hoping it won't go away any time soon. I can imagine this festival means a lot to the economy of Sequim and its surrounding towns and I'd hate to see it dissolve due to disagreements on how it should be run. Long Live Lavender!!

Lavender farms around the area are open for tours (some require an entrance fee) and sells bundles of freshly cut lavenders and other novelty items. Each farm is different and the uniqueness definitely adds to the character of each location. Make sure to grab a Lavender Festival guide map for a detailed list of farms around the area. The Street Fair is located in downtown Sequim on Fir street. Parking can be tricky and I suggest early attendance to secure a reasonable spot. Admission is free and the fair does allow dogs on the premises. Food options are decent and the live entertainment is a nice touch. Here are the farms we visited in our quest to see the lavenders: Graysmarsh - Cash only. Options of lavender and raspberry picking. Pets not allowed. Abundance in parking however no gift shop. Fat Cat Farm - Diverse gift shop and very friendly service. Only $5.00 for u-pick lavenders and the farm grounds are simply picturesque. Dogs are allowed however mind the free roaming chickens. Cards accepted and minimum of $10 purchase. Lavender connection - Smaller gift shop however they offer a "create your own scent." There are some seating areas for tired travelers. The owners were very ice and personable. Oliver's Lavender Farm- Not as much of a crowd compared to other farms. Small gift shop located in the back of the main house and offers a good selection of various lavender products. Martha's Lane - Ice cream shop features lavender flavors. I tried the white chocolate raspberry lavender ice cream. The texture was simply amazing and the taste was a perfect marriage of raspberries, sweetness, and lavender. They also offer various types of lavenders and each row is labeled for convenience. No pets allowed as this farm is organic certified. They have a fantastic gift shop with an abundance of lavender themed items. Beware as this shop can inspire sudden gift giving. Victor's Farm - Parking was full and the farm is very popular. There were more items in the gift shop and visitors can view the process of drying out the bunches of lavenders. Make sure to walk around to the back of the farm. Live music, lavender lemonade, and seating areas makes this a wonderful pit stop. The lavender festival is a good tourist/weekend activity for all ages. Excellent community and the staff from all of the farms were helpful and pleasant.

One tenant that they approved for us used our property as a flop house for his employees. It was obvious to me that that was the renters intention but the lease agreement was already signed so we were stuck with them for a year. They lied to us repeatedly and then trashed our house that had just been redone. The next one was a business property rental. They would honor the terms of their lease agreement signed and vetted by Landmark. They ruined our floor by leaving water running and didn't tell us it was happening until it was too late to dry it out. They cut the door jam of our property to get a refrigerator in. Their lease said they were responsible but nothing came of it so now we're left with a ruined floor, replacing the door jam to our building and taking out the Jerry rigged electrical along with a complete paint job. And currently we're cleaning out a house that Landmark also vetted the tenants for us. We drove by the property and noticed a dog and contacted Landmark. They did follow up with the tenants, and yes they did have a dog but nothing was done by them about it. They kept the dog in the garage and now we're starting to clean it up. We're hoping muriatic acid will get the stench out but we're not sure. The house is also trashed. We're going to need at least 1 dumpster to get rid all the garbage they've left behind. These are the 3 worst tenants we've ever had and all were vetted for us by Landmark. Additionally we've paid them a monthly management fee to "manage" our property? Just shameful. One star is the least that can be given. This management company has cost us thousands of dollars.
