Although not as large as some of the others, I think Lavender Connection does have its standouts! They seem to grow a lot more species so you can browse around and smell what each of them are like! The products have better design and feel more professional, which I appreciate more. They're not for me as I find the fragrance too mature, but I do love their dried bouquets and would often see them at Ballard farmers market. They do have picnic tables available. We are from Florida and went there as soon as we got to Washington. It was the only one open and I'm glad it was. We were greeted by the owner who was very helpful with everything. The gift shop was great and they had amazing lavender cookies. Definitely try some essential oils. If you're in Sequim, you need to stop here. read more

This was the first lavendar farm I have visited and it was a great one at that! Due to Covid, they are only open by appointment only and making it was easy enough via email. They were responsive and getting schedule was very easy as they were very accommodating. You get an hour there which is plenty if time to take photos, upick, and shop. When we arrived, we were one of two parties and basically had the place to ourselves. Masks are required and they ask if different groups are present to remain 6 feet apart or 2 lavender bushes away. We were never close to the second group so this wasn't an issue. They are unique in that they have 40+ varieties of lavender there and we learned about their essential oil process and the different kinds of scents from the lavender. They had Upick for $5 for a large bunch and everything was fair game. The also had a little store front (one party allowed at a time) with beautiful products for cooking, home use, and bath/body. Of the products I've tried, the dried lavender sachet has been great in my home, we made the lavender biscuits which were delicious, and I am enjoying the lavender salve on skin irritations. I bought a few bath products I can't wait to use. Overall, we had a wonderful time, we didn't feel rushed at all, and enjoyed this cute little farm. I would definitely go back and recommend this to anyone looking to go to a lavender farm that is a nice little drive away from the city. read more

Such a lovely farm. Beautiful set up and maintained. Parked and welcomed by the sent of lavender- they have the essential oil set up outside to educate on the varieties of lavender. Once we smelled most of them, we went into a lovely gift shop! We got lavender cookies, lip balm, candles, and salve. After, we went back out to smell and look at the rest of the lavender. What a lovely lavender farm experience! We were greeted warmly as we arrived, and given a map of the lavender varieties. After capturing our fill of photos in the field, we went to the aromatic tasting bar where we were educated about the varieties and the nuances of the many oils that this engineer/farmer creates. We found our favorite to take home with us, along with shortbread cookies, candles, lotion and lip balm from the lovely little farm shop. Wowza. From the moment we called, the people at this farm were kind and helpful. We made an appointment and were welcomed. They were wonderful about adhering and perhaps even bypassing rules for Covid, which was thoughtful. During our stay we learned a lot about lavender, cooking with lavender, how they produce essential oils, and visited (and purchased soap, a mask, and a baking mix from) their wonderful gift shop. Wonderful small farm! The fields are small but very well-maintained with excellent walking paths between the rows. Price for each bunch of u-cut is $5, plus they have other sundries (sachets, oils, whatnot) for sale in their barn. I really appreciated their attention to safety during this COVID mess too: must set an appointment online (which I'm sure hurts them for any drive-bys but ensures best social distancing while cutting the lavender) plus sanitized scissors for cutting and hand sanitizer everywhere. Coming at end of season is not recommended - the lavender is grayed out - I would tell people - July is latest if you want maximum purple. Despite this we were able to cut one bundle and I love the family type business vibe - they have a nice store with lavender cookies, lavender mix to make shortbread and other various knick knacks. Also have a shop where you can learn about lavender oils. I would visit multiple farms if you make it up to Sequim and this should be on your list - not the largest but love supporting small business. read more

Sequim holds a special place in my heart. The lavender festival is wonderful and this was the first farm we visited. Boy how cute was this place. Customer service was spectacular and the products are wonderful. I walked away with a load of lavender goodies. The story at this farm is great. My husband and I visited this gorgeous farm for the first time today and are so glad that we did. We were the only visitors when we arrived and were greeted warmly by the owners, Rick and Susan. Rick gave us a short-and-sweet but thorough explanation of what we could see and do. We initially wandered off by ourselves to walk through the beautiful lavender fields. When Rick spotted us trying to take a selfie, he sprinted on over, happily snapped a few shots for us and then sprinted back so that we could enjoy our stroll. Later, we approached Rick as he was distilling oil and he gave us a rundown of the process while letting us sample the many scents. Afterward, we ventured into the store where Susan patiently waited for us to slowly browse the entire store before settling on a couple of items, where she was very helpful in assisting us in our selections. Additionally, as a graphic designer, I was quite impressed with the professionalism of their branding and displays. Many of the local farms have a very DIY feel about their bottles, label designs and general aesthetic. Not Lavender Connection. All of their items sported clean, modern packaging. It gave off the impression that they truly care about their craft and the products they produce. Simply beautiful. I highly recommend this farm if you are looking for a warm and inviting, yet peaceful, atmosphere that smells like a lavender dream. read more

We had a such a wonderful experience here! Rick & Susan were so welcoming- Rick was waiting for us by the baskets as we walked up- and they bestowed upon us (my husband, and two boys) everything you could ever ask about lavender. I loved how they were all labeled. The layout is gorgeous, and the distillery is amazing. And the products! All handmade and Susan is so thoughtful and considerate. Came by a couple of weekends ago, and was warmly greeted by the owner. He showed us where to cut lavender ($5/bunch). The different varieties of lavender were clearly marked. It was most educational to learn there were so many different kinds (more than 20!). Bought some loose lavender at the gift shop - the lady owner was warm and welcoming. Quite honestly, before going to Lavender Connection, I thought that there were only four varieties of lavender (and this was after Nelson's Duck Pond; before then, I thought there were only two :x). Lavender Connection has over 20 varieties of lavender in their field... which you can actually pick from for your $5 U-Pick bundle. (Honestly, some of them looked the same to me, but I'll trust the experts.) There was also a bench set out in the middle of the lavender rows so you can take a pic in the midst of all that purple. :D They had a tent out back where they were distilling lavender oil... and somebody came out to tell us about the process (which takes all of 3 hours for what seems like small amounts to me; that's a lot of love, yo - think about that next time you get lavender ice cream from Molly Moon's). They had a cute store where they sold some lavender scents, salts, aprons (I wish I bought one, because they were just adorbs!), pet scarves. They also had an area where you can mix and match some ingredients to make your own lavender-based scents. read more

This was my favorite farm that we visited. They had so many different varieties of lavender to cut that I felt I really got my five dollars worth of lavender. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the barn was very quaint. The parking was good and clearly marked. I bought some lavender lotion that wasn't greasy and had a nice scent to it. It was a big glass bottle for $8 which I felt was a good price for the amount and packaging that it was in. I will definitely go here on my next visit to Sequim. read more

I had never cut lavender before and I am glad that I went here. It's not very far off the main road highway 101 but it feels very country. There's a little kiosk for u-pick lavender set up with scissors, baskets, and zip ties and the 28 different species of lavender are well marked. And a big bundle was only $5! The owner was helpful but not too intrusive and he was distilling the essential oils right there on the farm. Inside they have some nice gifts like pre-made lavender bundles, essential oils, shirts, and more. If I'm ever in Sequim I'd definitely go back and would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. read more

This is one of my favorite lavender farms to visit during the Lavender Festival. It is a free lavender farm, and it stands out because I get the best pictures at this lavender farm. I visited this farm before I had kids. And then there were a couple of years that I did not really go to lavender farms. And then in July 2013 and 2014, I am starting a tradition of getting pictures of my kids at this beautiful lavender farm. I enjoy the products such as lavender soaps and the serendipidity spritz. It is actually the one farm during the Lavender Festival that I normally cut lavender at. I am looking forward to many more years of carrying on this tradition with my children. read more

As we were about to head out of town we wanted to find a Lavender place and were lucky enough for it to be this one! It's a beautiful setting, with barn, woods, fields around. Not too small but not big-business feeling. Heavenly. And they were so nice!! We came in with our 5 (!) small kids and they were nothing but gracious, welcoming hosts. They took our picture, spent time talking and teaching us things, were good to our kids. The Lavender smell is, of course, to die for (we came at the right time of year) but also there is an adorable little gift shop in a rustic barn with really cool stuff made from lavender - we got some lotion and I kid you not, it's the most potent, incredibly good smelling lotion I've ever smelled. not to be missed!!! This was the second lavender farm we visited, and we were unsure there would be any lavender left, as it was late August and the lavender had mostly been harvested. As we pulled up to the farm, one of the owners greeted us and asked if we would be picking any lavender, or simply viewing. We opted to smell the lavender, since I was thrilled it was even an option. I enjoyed standing close and looking down on the bees busy at work. My favorite type of lavender is now Seal lavender, by the way. read more

I went to Lavender farm in Sequim 3 years in row, but as my 3rd year, I found this farm. This looks not so interesting when we first drove in, but we decided to stop and take a look. We was surprising that the owner was so friendly, he explained us about lavender and how he produce his lavender oil. The fresh lavender oil smell from that machine smelled so good, so amazing and so relax. The gift shop in the old barn also cute and the price is cheaper than somewhere else.
