Sepia is beautiful! Yep! That's about the only good thing we can say about them. We loved the Green…read moreBay location and decided to book our May 30th 2020 wedding there. All seemed to be perfect...until we signed the contract and they got their deposit! Then, you can kiss the hospitality and ethics goodbye! Sepia has more than one time slot available each day. So they could potentially have 2 weddings in one day. For the amount of money it costs, you should be THE ONLY wedding that day! You should not have to worry about getting out fast so the other bridal party can get in! And you shouldn't have to worry about walking in on a bride before you! The Covid 19 Pandemic struck. Our DJ, dinner venue and photographer reached out to us to help us reschedule if we needed-NOT SEPIA. Oh no! Barry needed his money. They did not care that this pandemic was out of our control. All of the other people we worked with were so willing to help us and work with us! NOT SEPIA! Our DJ and dinner venue even booked a 2nd date for us in case we couldn't have our May wedding! Just to have as a back up! Sepia would have done that too....but we would have been charged for both days! We were not trying to screw them over! We just wanted them to work with us. Obviously, getting a date again in 2020 was going to be a challenge but if we had to push our date past April 2021, Barry would have charged us AN EXTRA $1,000.00 to do so! In Sepias contract, it says it is not their fault and they will not be held liable for things like weather, fire etc. SO if sepia burns to the ground ... sorry you still owe your full amount. In the end, we are SO thankful Sepia was horrible to work with because the venue we ended up using was BEYOND wonderful! They too had multiple time slots but no matter what we picked, they made sure that day was all ours! Brides and Grooms beware! Don't get sucked in! You never think something like this could happen to you (*a global pandemic) But it could! And people like Sepia-will not care! ADDED* Since this post Sepia did reach out and "took accountability" They said they admit the communication was not good from them, but still, my experience has not changed.

When I was in town for Christmas a year and a half before my wedding I was able to view a different chapel that was close to the same price, but nowhere near as gorgeous as Sepia! When I discovered this chapel online, I had one of my bridesmaids schedule a visit and FaceTime me as she walked through. I knew instantly that I wanted to get married there and booked my wedding right away! Barry was always available when I had questions and was easy to schedule additional walk-through's with. I was also extremely surprised that they allowed me to do all the things I wanted to do! My flower girls got to throw real flower petals (they're fine with fake ones too) and my hubby and I were able to paint an infinity sign on a canvas for our unity ceremony. I've heard that a lot of places don't allow flower petals, fake or real, and there was no concern with potentially messy paint. Everything I wanted, I got! The rehearsal was a breeze. Barry's check list covered all the final decisions we needed to make or in some cases hadn't thought of. We were able to bring everything to the chapel the night of the rehearsal so it would be there waiting for us when we arrived the next day which made me feel so much less stressed on wedding day! One thing I really liked was that I got to pick all my ceremony music. I made a playlist of prelude music - mostly vitamin string quartet, had a separate playlist for the processional song, another for the bridal processional, then a final list for the recessional. That made it really easy for Barry to handle the music which he played through my phone over their speaker system. The music sounded so beautiful through their speakers! He timed out the recessional song so perfectly too! He was on task all day making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. I'm so glad I found this place, the photos I've seen so far are so beautiful, and I haven't even seen the professional ones yet! You don't need to add anything to make your wedding gorgeous here. We did buy some flowers, but the chapel is amazing on it's own and Barry is so easy to work with. I could go on for days, but one other perk that I actually didn't like about the place initially was that they are right across the street from Pearly Gates bar and grill. At first I thought it seemed kind of tacky, but everyone who had to stay after for pictures loved the fact that they were told to grab a drink across the street, then return for photos. That gave us time for the receiving line and family photos and kept everyone entertained the entire time. It was perfect. Everyone was back right in time for the bridal party photos and our family photos were probably less awkward having fewer people in the room staring at us.

In the right seasons and weather you should be able to get some great photos. - Seems to work with catering companies pretty well. - Adequate space for all but the largest weddings. The barn will have great space and the outside deck was had a good area also. - Despite being in the seemingly middle of nowhere the GPS was incredibly good at finding this place. - Golf carts were available for elderly and persons with disabilities. Cons: - Definitely more geared towards outdoor weddings. Rain, cold, or bugs could be significant issues if luck isn't on your side. - Restrooms aren't directly connected to the reception barn. This is a nit pick. - Might want to consider hiring an audio guy for sound purposes for your ceremony. If the wind if ripping, you won't hear a thing. - Might be a bit of a walk for some, but the golf cart service may negate that. Bottom Line: - If I wanted a country outdoor wedding, this place would do nicely.

The owner, Devonne, was helpful and informative throughout the process of planning. I would highly suggest this venue if you are looking for an outdoor bar wedding in Wisconsin! *Side note: make sure to fully read the FAQ, fine print and full agreement so you can make arrangements of the ceremony site, day-of liquor license, no kitchen space, backup rain pavilion, etc before moving forward BUT in no way were these issues for us - just a heads up that there are quite a few house rules you must comply with.

Has a nice sized bar and the bathrooms seemed big enough for the venue. Only negative was limited parking spaces and the entrance was a bit if a bottle neck and it was hard to get into the venue. Primarily because everyone arrived at approximately the same time. The back up was caused by the number of people standing at the bar, and the gift/sign in table limiting passage. Might have been better if table were to be placed somewhere else, but that would have limited seating capacity. Overall pretty nice place.

It is not overalls large but perfect for the wedding we had. There is a back room made just for the bridesmaids so that they can get ready on site. There wasn't really a spot for groomsmen. The bathrooms were decent size but not super clean. A lot of the toilets ran out of toilet paper and when we first got there, there were poop marks on the toilets. But other than that, the bathrooms were nice. As for the rest, it was not all that bad. The only other negative thing would be the white cushions on the chairs were stained. Some had red stains and others had large stains. I feel like chairs used for ceremonies with white cushions, should be clean. Overall, this was a decent venue for a wedding. It is a beautiful building with cool ideas. But if you have your wedding here, they do not have fridges to put leftover food in. So it will just have to sit out or get thrown away. But check it out if you are looking to have a wedding!
