Very friendly service and staff. Overall average fair pricing/charging rates. Not too far from East Twin Rivers.

My wife is disabled and travels with a small service dog who is always vested, carries an ID card, and is registered and certified; this was noted in our online booking. This was our first stay at any B&B of *any* size; in the past two years we've spent 36 nights at hotels both independent and branded. The room we stayed in, the Moose Room, is very well-equipped with exquisite attention to detail. The bed was pleasure to sleep in and had the most comfortable sheets we've ever encountered in a hotel room. A two-person Kohler whirlpool tub is in the main room. We were astounded at how quickly the tub filled and we were never short of hot water. The shower has a very inexpensive nozzle on it; a removable or rainfall style showerhead would be more befitting the quality of the rest of the room. I can say that Tausheck's is an extremely high quality facility with extreme attention to detail and very comfortable rooms. The Tausheck's should be commended for the quality of the B&B. Unfortunately, I can't say we will be back since we now know that this isn't the type of place for us given our unique situation, which probably doesn't apply to you. If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway in the "greater Sheboygan" area, I'd highly recommend Tausheck's and think you'd have a great time there. --postscript-- My previous review (which I edited and have subsequently raised the rating to three stars) dealt with some exchanges with the innkeepers specific to accommodating my spouse's service dog. Given that this was the first time that the innkeepers dealt with a service dog in their 12 years of existence, they did accommodate us the best they could with the knowledge they had at the time. We learned after our stay that inns of this size are exempt from the Americans with Disabilities Act as there are 5 or fewer rooms - see 28 C.F.R. § 36.104. This wasn't known to us, or the innkeepers at the time of our stay, so it's unfair for me to dive into the specifics. That being said, I hope that the B&B's web site is revised to reflect this so that any other guests having a similar situation to ours are aware in advance and can make the appropriate decision.

It was hot and very tasty. The owner wasn't there, but Megan did a great job of filling in. Everything about the room was perfect. The closet had a fridge and Kuerig with not just coffee! (Thank you as I love hot cocoa), the king bed was comfy and luxurious. It had a cute reading nook but the bathroom was spectacular. If I ever build a house this would be what I would add. The suite was well stocked with bubble bath, candles, nice towels and the comfiest robes. Bonus for Halloween candy! I would recommend this to anyone. We can't wait to come back.

We had all of the comforts of home: a fireplace, a fridge, a gigantic bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and a huge jacuzzi bathtub (big enough for the two of us to enjoy together!). Breakfast was served at our requested time and we enjoyed it both in our room an in the dining room with other guests, depending on the day. De Ann is an absolutely fantastic cook; her breakfasts aren't to be missed. While we didn't spend much time in it, there is a lovely back garden with a screened in gazebo, a bubbling fountain, and yard games for your enjoyment. The Roost is conveniently located close to Neenah, downtown Appleton, and about 30 minutes south of Green Bay. There's even a lovely house dog, Zada, who was very excited to greet us and give us all the kisses we could ask for. We will most certainly be back and are recommending Roost Bed & Breakfast to every single person we've met, both in Wisconsin and elsewhere. If you're thinking about visiting, please do--it is absolutely incredible and a 5 star experience!

There was a private outdoor stairway to our cozy room, so we didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone with our late night arrival. We settled in, took showers, and fell asleep to the waves crashing on the shore right outside of our room. Woke up in the morning in time for the delicious breakfast that Kari had made. My partner and I knew that we'd enjoy this place when she walked out in a KISS shirt and worn jeans. :-) She served delicious Mexican Egg Casserole (the gentleman next to me had 2 full servings!) with sides of fresh blueberries (soooo good), sausage links, cantaloupe, and strawberries. Everything was so good and the Coffee was nice & black! I would have eaten more, but my stomach was already expanded as much as it would allow. Delightful conversation with Kari, as well as with the other guests (return visitors). And outside, along the shoreline - HAMMOCKS! And fire pits. :) This would be a great 4th of July destination or even just a long weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves and the hospitality was so wonderful. Next time we come this direction, We'll definitely stay here for longer than 1 night.

A relatively quiet area and an easy ten minute walk into town. It's also a great base camp for exploring Door County. There is a little resource room on the first floor with travel guides, etc. Janet and Karl are the perfect hosts! They are both so lovely and gave us great recommendations for exploring the area. We were in the area a couple hours before the 3pm check in. We called to see if we could perhaps check in a little earlier and Janet very welcomely said yes. The house is GORGEOUS. Curved glass windows, charming decor, and beautiful hardwood floor inlays. It is a little creaky, so not ideal for light sleepers, but it's an old house - part of the charm! This place has everything you could ever want. Every detail is so well thought out. I'm a snacky girl, so I really appreciated the availability of treats! There is coffee, water, tea, soda, and hot chocolate also always around. We stayed in the Turet Room and it was perfect! Complete with a little sitting room, balcony, and shower with two heads! The bed and pillows were pretty comfortable as well. The best breakfast! Though we didn't have any dietary restrictions, Janet and Karl made sure everyone could eat delicious foods suited to their needs. I couldn't recommend Scofield House more and will absolutely love to return in the future!

My family and I enjoyed going to this property when it was ran by former owner, Bob Paluso. Unfortunately, the new owner is not family orientated nor friendly. He does not conduct business the way Bob did. Since the new owner has taken over, we have been extremely disappointed. (In a word - he is CRUDE!) Several of our friends have inquired about trail rides, and we have all agreed that the new owner does not possess any customer service skills nor should he be running a public business. The new owner is NOT an equestrian, nor does he take care of these poor horses. We have colleagues that deal with this ranch and the new owner. We have been informed that many of the trail horses are not tended to properly and have ended lame and are unrideable for a multitude of reasons. The new owner was extremely rude to us and to several of our friends/ co-workers. We will not be back! There are so many other choices for trail rides in Wisconsin. We prefer to patronize ranches with customer service, genuine customer relations and old fashion courtesies, Palomino Pines is NOT one of them! Tom showed us to our room upon arrival to make sure we knew where everything was, and he also provided us with local food recommendations (the taco pizza from Happy Joes was phenomenal). Linda makes the best breakfasts ever that we are still thinking about. We had breakfast delivered to our room the first morning, and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio the following morning. More than anything, Tom and Linda have a natural gift for making guests feel both comfortable and welcome, as if we were family staying in their home. We highly recommended staying at this BnB, and we will certainly be back again the next time we are in Green Bay!
