We were able to…read morebe nearby without the high costs of staying in town, and Manitowoc was just a brief drive away. There was even an affordable shuttle option to eliminate the need to drive, find parking, etc. It was nearby Walmart and Menards plus plenty of food options, so conveniently located where we could get anything we needed. We enjoyed exploring Manitowoc while we were there as well. The room has everything we needed and the bonus of a third bed which we weren't expecting! They offered made to order breakfast each morning with an efficient system and plenty of options while reducing food waste, which I appreciated. The bathroom had a separated space for the sink and mirror which was great for saving time getting ready. The fridge was also really handy and they had reasonable rates for food and drinks (including Spotted Cow!) in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and offered great recommendations. We would absolutely stay here again next time we're in town!

The price was fantastic and it was a comfortable and clean place for us to lay our heads at night. We were not disturbed by other guests at night. The air conditioner was loud and the mini fridge would hum or turn on/off periodically but after the first night we got used to the noise. Our 1-year-old slept soundly regardless. The complimentary breakfast was nice - we ordered the English muffin egg sandwiches each morning along with some sides. The portions are small, but nothing was wasted. They also served Door County coffee which is a local Wisconsin made coffee. There is a lovely outdoor seating area off the kitchen and another outdoor patio space in the front. The property was clean, and we liked the nautical theme - very on point for Manitowoc. The location was perfect for us as we did not want to be in the heart of Manitowoc. It's close to everything you need including the downtown, eateries, and a Wal-Mart. The workout room was under construction when we stayed here. There is a game room with a large shuffleboard also on the property. We would stay here again if the price was the same - it was a great deal. We paid about $93 (plus tax) a night when we stayed in May 2025.

General - We stayed here for three nights for a family trip touring the Manitowoc, WI area. We…read morewanted something close to town and the highway that offered a hot tub and pool and allowed our dogs to stay with us. Location - This place is right off the highway and only a short drive to downtown and the lake. You have a large variety of restaurants close by as well as shopping, either for essentials, food, or knickknacks. Rooms & Building - The building shows some wear and tear but it is in pretty good shape for it's age. I think the architecture was pretty cool, beats a boring square box building that most places have now become. Large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces available, never had a issue finding a spot. If you are hauling a trailer or RV, this would be a great place to stay and park. Rooms are very spacious and offered a sitting area even in a room with two queen sized beds. A mini fridge and microwave are included. I do want to mention the furniture because it seems people have issues with it. They are not old. The design is older fashioned but the ones in our room looked practically new (and were comfy). I mean I guess certain colors and fabrics are not always in vogue but I care more if it is working, functional and clean than looking "in". Amenities - This hotel is almost like a resort! Large heated pool (love that) and large hot tub which included some of the most generous pool hours I have ever seen at a hotel (open till 1 a.m.)! There is a movie room that plays two different movies throughout the day, well stocked gym in the basement, and a restaurant and bar that hosts live music and nightly specials. Food - We didn't try the restaurant or bar while staying here but the couple of folks we talked to in the hot tub ate exclusively there and said they liked it. We did get breakfast every morning in the breakfast lounge (included with our stay but not complimentary) and it was OK. Some of the items were cold/stale if they sat for too long but staff kept most of the items fresh and hot. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. Like I said above, the hotel is a little older but it has been kept in great shape. No complaints. I'm not sure why this place has so many complaints when I first looked but reading through a few, it seems like more personal issues than actually experiences while staying at the hotel. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. We enjoyed the amenities and our stay. Price & Final Verdict - I got this place for a great price - $125 a night and that included a buffet breakfast each morning and my dogs staying in our room. An amazing value when compared to the experience we enjoyed. If we are ever in this neck of the woods again, I would gladly book again.

I can easily work out in the morning inside the room to beach body cardio blast and I have to move my couch at my own house, not here. The room smells great, the fridge is ice cold, beds are soft. Pool rules are awesome. There's a bar in the hotel, not busy, not the hippest spot, but if I was here with a group of fun folks, I'd be drinking them dry and loving it. Pool had a big beach ball, pool table, packman game, hot tub that was really hot surprisingly. The vaulted ceilings are cool too. Breakfast till 10, all day and night strong coffee. Keep going?.... Ok I will!!! So what prompted me to write this review was the night desk fella, Mathew I believe. I came out of the pool and just flew in today. We had a few beers poolside and I didn't have a lighter, but wanted to go smoke outside. I asked him for a light and he said that he bought some for guests specifically for this situation lol So I borrowed his Green Bay packers lighter and when I brought it back, he said keep it, because he knew what I was going through with the traveling .... My mind literally exploded a bit. Such a kind gesture. I stayed here about 6 years back and nothings changed. They're still super friendly and well run. Plenty of parking, almost zero highway noise, well maintained, and staffed by as I described, real people, with big hearts and good work ethic.
