This was one of those times. There was nothing incredibly opportunistic while at Coho Motel outside of a stray hair in our tub, I am weird about hygiene and cleanliness, and we must have been in the old building which would explain the musty smell. Outside of that, the staff was welcoming upon check in and on our way out. The space was what we needed and nothing more; a place to sleep. Thanks guys.

Exactly what we were looking for!…read more My brothers and I flew to Green Bay for a football game and wanted to stay somewhere reasonably close to the stadium that wasn't price gouging out-of-towners. The hotel is an easy drive, less than 4 miles, to the stadium. The hotel was clean and quiet. The beds and the pillows were comfortable. Even the body wash and shampoo smelled nice. They had a free continental breakfast which I appropriated. Nothing special about the food. There's also a very low key bar a minute walk away that has pool tables and darts. We went both nights and had a good time. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to a Packers game.

This is my third voyage (I think) on the SS Badger since it began sailing as the Lake Michigan Ferry. On my trip, I got to visit another survivor, the SS City of Milwaukee, sister ship to the PM 21 and PM 22. The SS City of Milwaukee is a floating museum in Manistee, Michigan and you can ever stay overnight in a stateroom! My family lived in Michigan for a couple of years when I was very young, and we made the Lake Michigan crossing often. My favorite ferries were the Pere Marquette 21 and Pere Marquette 22, ships that had been built in the 1920s and were loaded with Art Deco décor and fixtures. They were absolute royalty on Lake Michigan and it broke my heart to hear they were both scrapped. Sailing on the SS Badger is like old times, well, sort of. The Badger is very modern compared to her old sister ships. Modern? Built in 1953? Okay, a newer antique I suppose, the last coal-fired ferry on the Great Lakes, in fact, maybe the last coal fired ship on the Great Lakes. (The coal industry was a major customer of the C&O Railroad, so what other fuel would they have used?) The Badger has all kinds of features that scream "1950s!" but she has been modernized with flat screen televisions in the lounge areas (with satellite programming) food service, and there's a bar. The kids can do a scavenger hunt around the ship and there's even a Bingo game in one of the lounges. Me? I'd rather sleep. Easy enough to do until the kid in the row behind me began kicking the seat. So, I went to take some more photos. Why not? We were in that part of Lake Michigan where Wisconsin has disappeared and Michigan couldn't be seen yet. Oh sure, you can see both shores at 35,000 feet in the airplane, but you can't have your car along. My car was about 50' below me and should have bene waiting for me when I got ashore. Actually, it was one of the first cars onboard, so it was one of the last ones off. Which was okay because I got to take some more photos. If you're planning a trip to Michigan this summer, consider going up to Manitowoc and taking the SS Badger across to Ludington. It's even a shortcut to St. Ignace and the Mackinac Bridge. (Same if you're going from Michigan on your way to the Land of Cheese. When you arrive in Manitowoc, you're only a half hour from Lambeau Field so you can tour a shrine of football.) Not to mention, it's a great, four hour cruise. Just like Mom, Dad, my brother Joe, and I used to do every summer until we moved back to Brown Deer.

There is wi-fi available on the boat, and ample opportunities to watch TV. There is a "comedian" for kids and a variety of so-so food, which is the only reason I can't add one more star. It appears that most of the people on the Badger prefer quantity over quality. One can also sit out on the deck and catch some sun. It was a pleasant part of our trip.

Has a nice sized bar and the bathrooms seemed big enough for the venue. Only negative was limited parking spaces and the entrance was a bit if a bottle neck and it was hard to get into the venue. Primarily because everyone arrived at approximately the same time. The back up was caused by the number of people standing at the bar, and the gift/sign in table limiting passage. Might have been better if table were to be placed somewhere else, but that would have limited seating capacity. Overall pretty nice place.

We recently have a wedding at The Venue at Union Square. Overall, the place would be a nice venue…read moreto have a smaller wedding at. It is not overalls large but perfect for the wedding we had. There is a back room made just for the bridesmaids so that they can get ready on site. There wasn't really a spot for groomsmen. The bathrooms were decent size but not super clean. A lot of the toilets ran out of toilet paper and when we first got there, there were poop marks on the toilets. But other than that, the bathrooms were nice. As for the rest, it was not all that bad. The only other negative thing would be the white cushions on the chairs were stained. Some had red stains and others had large stains. I feel like chairs used for ceremonies with white cushions, should be clean. Overall, this was a decent venue for a wedding. It is a beautiful building with cool ideas. But if you have your wedding here, they do not have fridges to put leftover food in. So it will just have to sit out or get thrown away. But check it out if you are looking to have a wedding!

So enjoy your wine, but it's nice to have a whiskey if you want one! Today (Memorial Day) they had a live band and it was a perfect day to listen to tunes and enjoy friends. Still somewhat new so no food available yet. But I heard talk that food trucks may be available for some events soon. Three nice sized rooms indoor and huge outdoor area with seating and yard games available.

Badger is the last of the Flint & Pere Marquette Railroad's railcar ferries - from a lineage starting in 1897 - to ply the lake from the northernmost port of generally ice-free winter waters. the 410' Badger first entered service in 1953 alongside her sister ship the S.S. Spartan (1952). the Badger which has long since been converted for hauling cars and trucks and people is the last operational coal fired passenger steam ship on the lakes. the ferry can haul up to 600 people and 180 vehicles each trip. in 2016 the Badger was designated a National Historic Landmark by the Department of Interior with a much unintended irony...

Plenty of outside seating, with deck chairs on the bow. There are indoor tables with a snack bar and drinks bar. Bingo is offered to help pass the time on the four-hour journey. Best part are the views of the Michigan and Wisconsin shorelines, while there is something special about staring out into the vastness when you're in the middle of the lake.

We booked this motel through booking.com a week and a half before we were supposed to get there…read more When we got there we were informed that their were no rooms left. We were told that it wasn't in his system which really just meant he forgot to write it down since his "system" consisted of a spiral notebook. My guess is that he was able to charge more to someone else so he booked our room and had us look elsewhere. He had us go to econolodge about 11mins away which was great but we had to pay $40 more for the same room. So basically this place probably made an extra $30 charging someone else more money, but used us as a backup plan Incase they weren't able to fill the rooms, and we got screwed because Econolodge (rightfully so) wasn't willing to honor this places pricing
