A gentleman from the Blue Harbor recommended Lisa LaBoy and are we thankful. Lisa did a super job for us for a very reasonable amount. She has such a good eye and sense of place so that our pictures really reflected our group. We were out on the sand dunes with the lake as a backdrop...stunning. Has a nice sized bar and the bathrooms seemed big enough for the venue. Only negative was limited parking spaces and the entrance was a bit if a bottle neck and it was hard to get into the venue. Primarily because everyone arrived at approximately the same time. The back up was caused by the number of people standing at the bar, and the gift/sign in table limiting passage. Might have been better if table were to be placed somewhere else, but that would have limited seating capacity. Overall pretty nice place.

There is a back room made just for the bridesmaids so that they can get ready on site. There wasn't really a spot for groomsmen. The bathrooms were decent size but not super clean. A lot of the toilets ran out of toilet paper and when we first got there, there were poop marks on the toilets. But other than that, the bathrooms were nice. As for the rest, it was not all that bad. The only other negative thing would be the white cushions on the chairs were stained. Some had red stains and others had large stains. I feel like chairs used for ceremonies with white cushions, should be clean. Overall, this was a decent venue for a wedding. It is a beautiful building with cool ideas. But if you have your wedding here, they do not have fridges to put leftover food in. So it will just have to sit out or get thrown away. But check it out if you are looking to have a wedding!

My two favorites were their Merlot and the Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a true winery on a par with the quality found at Blind Horse, von Stiehl and Stone's Throw - albeit at an early stage with a significantly more limited selection. It's hard to imagine a more pleasant and welcoming staff (of one); we truly enjoyed our afternoon there. I was ready to join their wine club - but they don't have one yet. Strongly recommend.

I've been hesitant to write this, it might get deleted because after looking at some pictures, I do…read morebelieve she is the owner..........Me and my six-year-old son visited the farm Mother's Day (never doing that again) and it was super busy, literally waiting in line for 30/45 minutes to hold a cat or a rabbit for three minutes. We had been there before so I knew there was a little bench/sitting area outside of the bathroom. So after using the bathroom, I thought it would be the perfect little area to decompress and take a little break and have a couple snacks so go sit down on the bench get our snacks out put them on a little table start eating them five minutes later the door that separates the area to the wedding venue section opened up, and I hear this lady talking to a woman with a child and a man explaining to them that they can change their child's diaper on the bench.......that was already occupied by myself and my child.....and she continued to explain it to them AFTER she saw us sitting on the bench. I have nothing against the other mom. She was just doing what she was told. But with that being said, I have changed my child's diaper in weird locations and there was a diaper changing station in the bathroom 10 feet away with no line. So at that point it became extremely awkward for everybody involved. I tell my child to hurry up and finish his food and collect his garbage which felt like minutes, but was probably only 30 seconds with the other family still hovering over us waiting for us to get up. He asked me why we had to leave and I didn't answer him. I had no problem with the other family. Maybe they didn't know there was a changing table in the bathroom, once again, they were just doing what they were told. BUT in my opinion, they never should have been told that. The other lady basically kicked us out of the spot. We were already well established at. Out of the almost 7 years that I have been going to fun activities basically every weekend with my child I have never been disrespected like that. Now with that being said, I do not believe it was her original intention to do so, but I would like for her to know that she did offended me and maybe next time see if the bench is already occupied and provide another location. Maybe double check if there is a line for the bathroom first. Yes I know it is a first world problem. But I have been thinking about this since Mother's Day. We can call this review constructive criticism...... but maybe not so that again.

The staff Was incredibly friendly. My room was so immaculate you could have eaten off the floors. I heard a little ride noise after 7pm it got incredibly peaceful. You could watch the sunsets and sunrise on Lake Michigan. The views were beathe taking. The pool area was always neat and clean. They have a cute mini golf course in front of the hotel. This is incredibly charming. Take the step back in time and relax with the staff at the Village Inn. If you have a chance to meet Brian he is an outstanding employee who will go out of his way to make sure you have any you need!!!!!

We had a room in the newer portion which we were selfishly happy about. It was super bizarre though, when we got to our room it had to have been like 85+ degrees. It was so hot that we had to keep the sliding door open for like an hour. Even the complimentary water bottles were too warm to consider drinking. Super weird but we were able to fix the issue. During our stay we were able to easily walk to the holiday market down the road. We were excited the resort offered complimentary breakfast, but it was very underwhelming. There was very little space and just yogurt and granola and not enough left for our group to all enjoy, and no staff that we could find to ask for more. All in all the place was clean and we got what we needed out of the stay!
