They carry well-known name brands with very competitive pricing. You'll find everything related to makeup products you'll need to take great care of your skin for both your face & body. From everything such as foundation makeup, eye makeup, cheek makeup, lipsticks & others..to brushes to apply the makeup, you'll find it all here, in many well-known name brands. And if you're not sure how to apply anything you see in the store, the ladies & men who work as product consultants & Sephora PRO Team makeup artists here will do everything from explaining how to use a product to actually sitting you down for a hands-on demonstration by way of a complimentary makeup application session. The store also carries a large variety of ladies perfumes & mens colognes in all price ranges. It's very impressive how many lines of perfumes & colognes are carried at Sephora. This section takes up almost a whole wall along one side of the store, so you will have a lot to choose from. In the back of the store, near the registers, you'll find specialty cream & serum products for age-prevention. Lately, I have been comparing the serums that contain hyaluronic acid. These creams & serums are products that are proven to help defy aging with regular use by helping fill in fine lines around the eyes & other areas of the face & décolletage. Women (and men) should start using either a cream or serum product containing hyaluronic acid once they are in their 40's. It's important to start using them around that age, or even before you start seeing signs of aging for 'prevention'. Also of interest at Sephora are many products to take off makeup, face day moisturizing creams, night moisturizing creams & various other specialty creams (such as for treating acne) & other skin conditions, such as pigmentation issues & many others. One thing you should always avoid is leaving the house without washing & applying moisturizing cream to your face. There are so many caustic elements in the air that you need a barrier of moisturizer on your face at all times, particularly one with a high SPF to combat the sun. And you need to apply a night cream after washing your face just before bedtime. If you're looking for flat irons & curling wands, Sephora has a selection of those, too. Gift sets for you or your friends with products you & they use & love are smartly packaged. And if you'd like to try products before buying something particularly pricey, the people at Sephora are great at giving you a weeks worth of samples before you buy. Their return/exchange policy also is wonderful with no questions asked. Every few years I remind myself why I dislike shopping in Sephora. But first, I will say that the team members who attempted to assist me were all very kind and friendly. That being said, I came in looking for several brands and items, (some very high end and some not) and in every single instance, samples were completely disorganized, out of order or just plain missing. Additionally, 3 of the items I was interested in purchasing were out of stock altogether. One additional item on display (retail of $40) was actually only available online. Given the robust amount of team members, and the manager who was roaming about the store, (and especially at these prices) this store needs to be more organized, especially a store of this size and visability in a higher end mall. Empty/ wrong displays and vacant shelf space/real estate is anathema to retail profits. Clean it up, remerchandise, but do something. To add insult to injury, this store would not allow so much as an even exchange for products I purchased at a different location just 4 days prior, for which I had the reciept. (The result of yet another Sephora recommendation that just did not work for me.) Maybe this time the lesson will stick, and I won't bother shopping at any Sephora locations ever again. Bad customer service I just came from Sephora in Santee looking for an item and they told me they had plenty at Fashion Valley so I drove all the way here and I ask the girl and she immediately said they were out and I told her I was told you guys had 15 here so then she proceeds to say she was going to check, she left me standing there for 5 or 6 mins and when I turn around she's already helping someone else didn't even care to say she was still looking or had sent someone to the back to check. I then saw her walked away so I approached another girl who I asked if they had it and she said she was checking because they in fact had gotten a new shipment today, after waiting another 10 mins some guy yells that who was looking for a primer and I said I was he said we don't have it and that was it. He left they made me feel like an idiot. I just went to waste my time when I could've gone somewhere else. I won't be returning to this Sephora. The first Sephora I ever went to was on the Champs-Elysees in Paris some 25 years ago. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! You can try on all your makeup and perfume and then make your choices. It was huge! Little did I know this store would wind up in most shopping malls in the United States. I used to go more frequently to this location, but now rarely. In fact, I went back for the first time in over two years. Of course, during COVID I didn't have much reason to wear makeup. Now that the world is rolling, there is more reason to get dolled up... though I still have to hide my face with a mask at work daily. Anyway, I started watching Youtube videos with makeup tips to get me back into the swing of things... but realized that I needed supplies. Then, I went to Sephora with a loose list... a few items that I knew I wanted and several with only a general idea of what I wanted. So, I started walking through the store. I was in a bit of a rush, otherwise would have tried on a lot more makeup. They did have everything I was looking for... and more of course. I was happy that they had Lancome, as I had been planning to add on a trip the the nearby department store, and now did not have to. I was looking for an item that I had never used before. I spoke to a staff member who walked me straight to it. She told me the difference between the three different styles so I could pick the best on for me. If I hadn't been in such a rush, I would have asked a lot more questions. On another note, I was slightly surprised to see that my 7 items came to $235. I knew I was going to spend a lot, as I hadn't bought makeup forever, but these items sure do add up. It is not a discount shop (cheapest item was $20). I did notice that the wall of perfume was slightly smaller than it used to be, though I was not shopping for perfume that day. Anyway, I have enjoyed using these items. I probably won't need to go back for a while, but when I do, I will ask all my questions and take my time. read more

After visiting the Sephora in Paris I had a huge enlightenment about how BAD this Sephora is. The catty unhelpful employees were gossiping and blocking the isle as I wandered aimlessly looking for the hairspray I fell in love with in Paris. Rather than offer help I had to literally say 'excuse me' so they would separate from gossiping so I could walk through the isle. Not one person asked if they could help me. SO MANY Workers standing all around everywhere no one offered to help me. I finally asked someone where the hairspray was and instead of "showing" me like they did in Paris she pointed to the back for me to find it myself. This is the typical treatment I get in this location. That is why I hate it and don't like going there. Once I found it and went to purchase it (I also picked up a couple kat von d lipsticks, which I found on my own again) The cashier was a real beotch. She rang me up and I paid and I had to ask her for a sample. (Paris just loads you up without asking)/. She looked at my total and rolled her eyes like I didn't spend enough money for a sample. She said 'well I guess you can have ONE'. She opened her drawer where i saw plenty of other samples. I told her "well I guess only ballers like my friend get samples because we got a ton in Paris". She again rolled her eyes and said 'do you want this one or not?' She also mentioned every store is different when it comes to samples. I have a friend who is a Sephora-holic and when we were in Paris I was using her hairspray and wanted some. We stumbled upon the Paris store and were greeted immediately when they realized we spoke English they sent English speaking workers over to help us. They were amazing, helpful and fun! They directed us to many things and new products. She helped me pick a lipstick and liner and took a lot of time with me. (Unfortunately they did not have the hairspray hence my visit here). I told my friend the Sephora near me sucks because the service was no where even close to Paris. My friend got like a bunch of samples I mean TONS. She used some VIP card and I added my purchase to her so she could get points. The lady gave us samples for 2 knowing that. Anyway I texted her after the visit last week to tell her that Sephora will never get me hooked and this whole story, and how I didn't get baller status like her. read more

I went with my mom to this location all workers on the floor are so rude making faces and body language clearly shows they don't want to be there they are all huddled up in a group instead of trying to see if any customers need help , and then to make it the cherry on top my MOTHER who's not too familiar with makeup wanted help to see what shade concealer she is , so she asked a gentleman worker if she can get some help , first off he rolls his eyes , not even trying to conversate with my mom such as simple customer service like "how's your day" or " how can I help? " simple stuff , He literally even used a tester on my mother's face YES a tester using the wand on her direct skin when your supposed to put product on ur hand first then skin or use a Q- tip just something else besides using a TESTER ON SKIN very very unsanitary! I had a personal shopper appointment on 6/26/22 with Paloma and her customer service was exceptional. I wanted help picking out some sunscreen, primer, foundation, powder, etc. Like many people, I have lots of concerns surrounding my skin...large pores, fine lines creeping in as I get closer to 40, undereye circles, etc. I also only use clean beauty products now, so needing something clean and toxin free was a requirement. Paloma rose to the challenge and was a breeze to work with. I was in and out in about 20 minutes and she really did pick out some products that I think will work wonders for my skin. I checked the online reviews for the products she recommended and they were all really highly rated, particularly from people who share the same concerns as I do with my skin. Sephora has a LOT of products and, for someone like me who keeps their beauty routine pretty simple, it can be a bit overwhelming trying to find the products that are right for me. My best friend and I went to buy Summer Fridays lip balm. We decided to window shop while we were already there, we're both beauty enthusiasts and just wanted to pass some time. We were looking at the skincare when we noticed we were being followed. We were asked twice by an associate if we needed help. We declined with friendly smiles. As we kept looking around we noticed the same associate kept a 10ft distance side eyeing our every move. We have both worked in retail so we understand keeping an eye out for shoplifters, but neither of us gave any red flags. We had one other shopping bag with us from earlier, not sure if that's what buzzed their bells? We looked around to see if they just happened to have a big staff with associates at every station but it was clear that wasn't the case, we were being supervised. It honestly felt a bit stereotypical... We were two latinas in their early twenties, not wearing any designer but not looking like bums either. If you've been to the fashion valley mall, you can easily tell there's a clear distinction between those with more $$$. It was honestly just such an uncomfortable experience to have the staff breathing down our necks and side eyeing our every move. Just because we don't look like your wealthier customers doesn't mean we're there to steal. Such a negative experience. read more

Every time I come into this store it never seems that the employees don't help you unless you go up to them and ask for help directly. They see you in an isle and just look and walk away. When I last stopped by I was looking for a concealer and once I found an employee she was sending someone my way to meet them at that specific brand I was looking at. Took him a couple of minutes to show up and what was the most uncomfortable about was the fact I heard him tell his coworker, "time me" basically seeing how long it takes for him to do a shade match for me. Once that was over which took less an a minute, the shaded looked good at the store, but once I tried it on at home it looked completely different and it was the shade he physically handed to me once he was done. I honestly wished the employee actually seemed to care enough to take the proper time to actually do a shade match rather than timing to see how fast he can shade match someone, almost seemed like a game. It's disappointing given the fact this store has much more in stock and is bigger than other Sephoras. But I might just have to take my business elsewhere. read more

I spoke with a manager to inform them because Sephora running out of samples is "not a thing" especially in the middle of a demo day. I have a love/hate relationship with Sephora. I love it because the makeup selection and staff are amazing, but hate it because my bank account is always crying after stepping into this store. It tends to get crowded often, especially during peak hours/days/times of the year. Because of that, it can get hard to get help from employees because everyone is occupied. That's pretty much the only "criticism" I have, but I've never had a problem with customer service or anything of that nature. The workers here are friendly and knowledgable, and somehow I never leave this store without being complimented. Employees were unnecessarily rude. Had an appointment for makeup at 11am, email said to show up 15 min early to check in, so I did. An employee opened the door for another employee, I made eye contact and right away she goes "WE OPEN AT 11am." I told her I had an appt (I wasn't looking to go in I just wanted to let them know I was there) and her immediate response without even listening to me or letting me finish my sentence was "that's nice I know, we open at 11am." I walked into Sephora today and Jihan (if that's how you spell it) asked me if I was finding everything okay. I asked where Summer Fridays was (because I was looking for lip gloss keep in mind), and she goes "oh honey what are you doing for your skin?" When I am CLEARLY breaking out really bad right now. I told her "I'm on an acne treatment right now (hence why my skin was purging)" and she goes "oh honey please wear SPF always".... Did I ask for her advice? Not at all. Completely rude and unsolicited. Cried to the sales associate at checkout when I told her, she brought the manager (who was super nice), and they apologized. The manager was super nice in this situation, I just think Sephora workers need to stop giving unsolicited advice just to get some more commission. This place is chaotic. The music is super loud... it's always crowded & you have to practically yell to communicate with anyone in the store. It's really off putting if you're new to makeup or have questions about products. The sales associates are hit or miss. Sometimes you get someone really helpful & sweet... other times, they seem to not want to be bothered. I was in the other day & I overheard a sales associate give a really snippy response to a customer that needed help... all I could think was, "It couldn't be me."  That being said, if you've come to this location before... the chaos is expected when you walk in. The thing about this location is, they always have the products I need, so that's always a plus. And if you need your makeup done, Star is awesome. I honestly never have any issue with sephora.. with the whole "joke" or even witnessed few customers or employees having some issue. It's simple as going in look around and knowing what to get mostly being open minded for whatever request suits us "customers " needs. All because I needed assistance for new chanel perfume but there wasn't tester bottle out in display just spray some over perfume test strips I asked the male employee " by any chance if there's the new Chanel perfume out on display Cause fiance & I didn't see the tester I guess it was misunderstanding due to the mask that's understandable yet I literally repeated the questions. But was giving the answer.. "Oh we don't do any perfume samples anymore" with a tone... Smh, I asked if possible where was actual tester bottle cause there wasn't any especially for the one I was looking for. Really?Thanks... but i rather use the purpose of "test strips " that wasn't what I asked for. I honestly never even need any "samples for any products from sephora" it's more like Whenever I purchased over $600-1k The employees will toss some mini random samples or asking if I wanted use my points for mini products that I won't use or sadly toss away. Yet being giving that attitude over perfume that I wanted be sure it was the one I wanted gift to my mother yet it wasn't out in display. Had an appointment for a full face at 3. Got there at 2:55pm and checked in at the door, and again with 2 people at the beauty studio. Was told to wait til my stylist got there. 15 minutes later, I had been asked to "please move" by a staff member because I apparently was in the way while standing and waiting for my makeup artist to show up. Multiple people (walk-ups) were taken in front of me by other artists. Two checked in after me and were seen before me, and none of the staff seemed entirely concerned, other than that I was "in the way." Can't speak to the actual full face makeover because... well, it never happened. After 25 minutes of being repeatedly brushed aside, I informed one of the staff members and got no more than an "I'm sorry, honey." Coming from Texas, I know what that means. Cool. Best service I've ever gotten at a Sephora. I am from eastlake, so they're usually not friendly in my area. So it was nice for a change

Customer service has gone downhill over the past couple of years. This pertains to the associates on the floor. Let me say the cashiers are generally sweet and helpful. I frequent this Sephora and am ok with tolerating lack of service because I am self sufficient for the most part in knowing what I want, where to find it and being knowledgeable enough abt product; but u really have no choice here. Acquiring service on the floor is challenging. And when u finally get that "service" it is very unpleasant. There's this heavyset gal that's helped me a couple of times. She always has a funky look on her face like she can't be bothered. And her makeup application sux! Even my feet can apply foundation better! She kept glopping on the foundation on my face like it was going out of style when I asked to be color matched. Needless to say I didn't purchase the foundation because it looked like shit on me! Then there's this other time this red headed lady attempted to help me. I asked if they had a power in stock. Her response was "no" and that they can order it and send it to my house with free shipping. I decline and tell her I need the powder today. She goes on ranting about the shipping once again. I ask her if there's another powder comparable and she says no and offers the free shipping again!!!! I said no I'm not interested in the shipping! She snaps at me and says she was only trying to give me options. Seriously lady?! Are u a flipping parrot?! A broken record?! How many times do I have to say no I'm not interested in shipping?! What really bothered me though is my latest experience. I went in and someone actually approached me and asked if I needed help. I found the powder I wanted and told her I was trying to verify the shade. So she confirms the shade I had in my hand is the correct one. She awkwardly keeps standing there and asked me if I needed a second one because I picked up another powder. She must've peeked in my shopping bag because she proceeds to hand me a basket and makes a comment "oh, you have an exchange".. she then tells me not to mix up (the powder) with my exchange. (I had a Sephora bag tucked into my Nordstrom bag). So what was she trying to imply huh? Ummm I'm a Rogue member (top tier spending program) for several years in a row so no lady I won't be stealing or ugh mixing up your merchandise with my personal items. Go figure, u only get "help" when it's unwanted. WTH is wrong with these folks? Does good customer service even exist anymore?
