Been coming to Sephora since me 20s and now in my 40s it still has a hold on me. So many memories and receipts. YAY! *Brands I always gravitate towards: Benefit, Vegamour, OUAI, IGK, Olehenriksen, Josie Maran, Kerastase, Laneige, Youth to the People, Moroccan Oil to name a few *Appreciate staff greeting you as you enter- nice touch *Diverse team, easy to find someone relatable *Rewards program = points + freebies *Bright, clean, and well-stocked Cons: *Prices can escalate quickly depending on your "just browsing" mood! SEPHORA @ FASHION VALLEY Parking is available in any of their lots, but I'd recommend parking near PacSun/Zara or Nordstrom for the easiest access. As we walked up, we were immediately greeted by the staff, which was such a nice touch. Inside, there's a huge selection of makeup, from Charlotte Tilbury to Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty. It can definitely feel a bit overwhelming at first, but I found a super sweet girl who helped me find a skincare routine specifically for acne. She recommended trying Dr. Brenner's mask for about 10 to 15 minutes, and she was so kind and helpful throughout the process. One thing I really love about Sephora is that you can try everything out, from testing new shades to experimenting with products right there. They have makeup removers, mirrors, and trash cans everywhere, which makes it so convenient. The staff is also super friendly and always willing to help. 5 stars for the esthetician helping me in there but checkout girl Izabella completely ruined my experience and made me opt to not spend my money on the higher priced products that the esthetician recommended. As soon I got to front I had a question about the price of the product I wanted and another of one I found while waiting in line and she wouldn't even let me say a word she just kept demanding things and didn't give me a second. She told me to type in my # and then kept saying to put my basket down not realizing I didn't want to buy all the things in there. I tried to explain that and she just kept barking about the # and basket so I gave up and just stayed quiet. After my # I asked about the product prices and she legit rang it up and said nothing- priced on screen I guess so she couldn't be bothered to communicate which was which so I said to just take them both off and got a random small item so my time wasn't completely wasted. Her presence and attitude was so much. I get it's busy Saturday and a sale apparently and dealing with I'm sure lots of crappy people all day but now you're the crappy person in my day so thanks. Just picked up my birthday "reward". While looking through the options inside the glass, it was difficult to read what the items were. Associate told me it was a lotion and lip balm. I wanted some sort of lotion so I said ok. Lotion. She scans it and hands it to me. I look at it and noticed it's not a lotion but instead a mask! So I asked to change it bc I didn't want a mask. This sephora has it all which I love has a Sephora lover! But there is also so much in this store that I can get overwhelmed or just end up buying way too much. I will say yes going to Sephora is an expensive trip for me depending on what I am going in for but it is always worth it. I am heading out on a trip soon and needed some travel size items to take with me but of course I ended up buying more than that. I will say that it is my birthday month so I was excited to get to pick out my birthday gift and this year there are SO many options to pick from which was awesome. As the reviews confirm this store has horrible customer service. I consider my experience discriminatory and PREJUDICE AND RACIST. I shop at Sephora all over the country MIAMI LOS ANGELES NEW YORK and never have I ever. Diana the manager was not willing to help me return my foundation within the return policy. Even after I shared my skin broke out in an allergy from the product. I am now stuck with the foundation and not offered no exchange or even credit. It is clear the customer experience does not matter and it's about the profit over the customer. She went so far as to eyeball and measure the ounces deep inside the tube. Examining the bottle and ridiculously tried to claim they measure every returned product ounces. This store decided to enforce their policy on me when I am very certain they are not opening products and measuring ounces for every single product. There is no way to accurately measure usage. No exception or good faith was granted to me even when I shared it was an allergic break out. I used the product for only 10 days. I will be escalating this issue. read more

It's a great location because it is HUGE and very well stocked. Anything you're looking for will most likely be here. Entered the store around 11-12 in the afternoon. It was not as crowded as usual (only like 10-25 people in the store). The store was pleasantly bright and well organized. It was fairly clean as well. It looked like they expanded (or at least new lighting because wow it was beautiful!). Although when I walked in and I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed any help. I thought it was rude. A lady walked in a few moments behind me and she was immediately greeted, "hi! Welcome in!" by a worker in front. I walked in and out of the many isles. I wasn't too sure of where things were placed. If lipsticks, foundation, blush, etc were in a certain section or were they organized by brand. After passing several workers who seemed to not be doing much, none of them seeming to want to offer any help or speak to me. I put the items back and left the store. No one said anything when I walked out either, which yes, I didn't buy anything... but they should still acknowledge someone for entering/exiting. I felt non-existant in there. read more

The worst customer service ever. Asked these 2 young ladies if they had any rose quartz facial rollers. After it seemed like I interrupted their very important conversation, they proceeded to say "no". I saw the website had them on stock so I asked if they were sold out. They looked at each other and gave me a very nonchalant "yes". I picked up another item and asked a different girl at the register if they were in stock one more time. After asking me if anyone checked, she walked me over right behind the 2 girls and lo and behold there were the rollers fully stocked RIGHT BEHIND them. I looked over and said "you guys do have them! You told me you were sold out." As I stared walking towards the register one of them said "oh.....good for you." Unnecessarily rude, I would think they'd apologize. The girl at check out didn't even blink once at the comment as if they were used to this type of service. This is not the first time I've felt extremely unwelcomed at this location. The store itself is always busy and chaotic and about 75% stocked in my experience. However, there are a few employees that make the trip worthwhile. Most recently there was a young black woman with dental braces who went the extra mile to turn a lousy store experience into an excellent one. Great store in a nice location, the Fashion Valley mall, which is currently under construction but manageable for customers. Good experience with someone at the Anastasia counter. Unfortunately, I don't recall her name. She went above and beyond to help find the right color. I'd rate it a 5 except that the register was a different experience altogether. I wanted to check my points to see what was available and she seemed bothered by it. Other stores offer to check. Further, she didn't automatically give me the Anastasia gift with purchase (of $65 or more). I had to ask her for it. The other cashier, a male, had to confirm it for her. Why are they so mean and assuming im stealing all the time I come here. I spend thousands and thousands of dollars here every year and have been coming here for my whole life basically and lately the workers have been so disrespectful. Like 90% of them. What is going on. They wouldnt let me exchange even though it was within the 60 day window claiming I heavily used the products and they could tell cuz there was already damage but thats why I was returing the product because it was cheap and got damaged easily also wouldnt accept a lipstick when I only used it twice. The way they spoke to me durring the process was beyond disrespectful you dont talk to anyone like that. They asked me if I still wanted to still proceed with my order despite declining my exchanges and before I could even think they start scanning everything and then said "so are you buying this, or are you gonna leave". I couldnt leave fast enough and they said sorry in the most uncaring way, what is going on wont be going to this location, they arent even getting paid enough to be exchange nazi's so them being rude is purely out of evil dark rude energy, they are just mad cuz im skinny and I do my makeup better than all them in that store and they make like 2 cents an hour and taking it out on me. The store also carries a large variety of ladies perfumes & mens colognes in all price ranges. It's very impressive how many lines of perfumes & colognes are carried at Sephora. This section takes up almost a whole wall along one side of the store, so you will have a lot to choose from. And you need to apply a night cream after washing your face just before bedtime. If you're looking for flat irons & curling wands, Sephora has a selection of those, too.
