I went in to this store to exchange a brow pencil that I received as a gift and was told I was unable to make any exchanges or returns on gifts without a proof of purchase. Ok, fine. I was unaware of this policy change - moving forward, I wanted to purchase a foundation and use my gift card as payment.... The girl was already being rude and snarky, and told me she can put the brow pencil back (although i walked in with it wanting to exchange it, she completely spaced on our entire conversation) then she had attitude and speed typed the gift card number and it came back declined... she asked if i had another payment method and i told her no, you can try again... this time she typed in the number a little slower and surprise!!! It worked. Customer service is awful, vibe is awful, and the help is mediocre. With so much competition these days it's sad that Sephora is treating their customers / clients like they're a bother. Lots of hi end product. I took my granddaughter in to buy a new lipgloss. She's 8 and we were directed to the Lancôme juicy tubes. She also wanted some watermelon sleep lip mask. What's unique about this Sephora location is that it's a stand-alone business. This may be the only stand-alone location I know of, as most Sephora stores are located inside a mall. Sephora offers a variety of beauty products from cosmetics, cologne, hair tools and products, skincare products, etc. You can also earn points with your purchases toward free gifts by signing up to become a Beauty Insider (free = provide your email, phone, name, etc.). This Sephora branch is located on Alabama and Lugonia, just north of the 10 freeway in Redlands (look for Target, Kohl's, Barnes and Noble). I really liked the staff here. They ring you up much faster than the staff inside the malls. Overall, it's a nice location to pick up your beauty items without having to make your way to the mall. Got Glam makeup done, did not go well. Looked nothing like the picture I showed. And midway when I brought up the picture again to remind her how it should look she said that's too dramatic and wouldn't do it the way I wanted. Put in colors on eyeshadow I specifically said I don't like. Overlined my lips with red then had me look in the mirror and correct it. When I brought up issues with all of these said our time is limited and she cannot spend time on fixing anything as she has another customer and handed me the liner and said you do it. Her name is Bri and she doesn't know a thing about make up! I asked her a simple question about the shade and she gave me a wrong answer, I asked another worker, got a different answer ( correct answer) and was told Bri gives wrong suggestions on purpose because she is not happy working in the store and wants to get rid of the big manager. Last week I went into Sephora with my 2 granddaughters who were interested in purchasing skin care products. There were 3 associates standing around chatting with the security guard. When I asked the security guard if there was anyone on the floor to help us she said, "I will see if I can get someone in just a minute". I waited for quite a while. They continued to chat and laugh with each other so I decided to go to Ulta instead. As I walked out the security guard made eye contact with me and kind of rolled her eyes. Feel free to read my review of the Rancho Cucamonga Victoria Gardens location to find out why I came here. I called this location in advance and told them I had a horrible experience at Rancho and let them know exactly what I was looking for. I was genuinely anxious to drive all the way here because the one other time I have walked into a Sephora ended badly. Oh my gosh, what a refreshing experience. I was instantly greeted by an employee and told her I wanted a color match and the machine to scan me. She immediately went and found a beauty advisor who was SOOOO SWEET (Amanda). She was so patient with me and helped me accomplish exactly what I wanted. She correctly color matched me instantly. She found 2 foundations for me that I was looking into and got me a sample of each. She even let me bother her multiple times afterwards and never made me feel like I was annoying. She helped figure out that my account had been created incorrectly and fixed it to the best of her ability (Rancho location purposely screwed it up and now I annoyingly have 2 accounts, one that has incorrect information and a good one that I now have to specify any time I buy something). Everyone working at this store was so nice and helpful. It's a much further drive for me but if I ever need to physically walk into a Sephora this is the ONLY one I'm coming to. I've visited this location several times in the last year and I'm always so pleased by the service. I purchased a Drybar blow dryer yesterday and I seen it was available "for pick up today" so I decided to go inside and just grab one. There were none of the shelf and I asked if they had any showing them a photo from the app and two of the girls immediately started helping me. One checked under the drawer and the other in the back. Once they located it for me she asked if I needed help with anything else and I told her I was good that was all I needed and she immediately rang me up! Made my visit quick and easy!
