Every time I come here the staff is so friendly and willing to help or look in the back for what I'm wanting to get. Their selections are really big even though the store itself is a bit small. I love being able to test out their perfumes and makeup to see what fits my needs. The store being a bit small does create a lot of crowding during busy times but on an average day it's pleasant enough without bumping into too many people. read more

Wow, I went into Sephora today not knowing that the experience was going to be so amazing. I always have a good experience, but Sydney showed me the best customer service I have ever witnessed in my life. I needed many restocks of my usual products, but she helped me find so much more. From brands I know well to new brands I had never heard of, she knew exactly what to recommend. Finding products that match my skin, make me feel beautiful, and bring me joy are exactly why I go into Sephora. If I could, I would give a zero star. Today, I went to the mall with my friend, and we stopped inside Sephora. I had never had any issues with this location other than it being disorganized and busy. But today, my friend planned to use their $50 Sephora gift card that they had on their app. We shopped around and were questioned multiple times, "Do you need any help with that?" It wasn't just a couple of times but countless, and it felt like we were considered thieves. But that's not even the end of it. We made it to the register, and my friend went to pay for their items with the gift card. They scanned it at the register, and instead of charging the card, they deleted the $50 card from my friend's account. Honest mistake, I thought they would make it right. But nope, she was told that since the card was added to their app/account and deleted there, there was nothing they could do if you didn't have the physical card. Not only is this unprofessional, but $50 is not a little amount of money. There was no resolution, and they lost $50. I recommend being careful with your money here; it appears they have no regard for it. read more

I'm so done with this Sephora, I used to love shopping here but now I've been trying to shop more are Ulta and Nordstrom rather then Sephora just because of this specific location. There is always a worker bugging me over and over asking if I need help, constantly offering me a basket, and literally following me around the store. I know these all sound like nice gestures but trust me after constantly saying "no, and thank you" and them not backing down, there nice gestures start to feel a little backhanded. Sephora has the worst refund and return policy. I stopped shopping here over 10 years ago and after purchasing something first the first time in over 10 years, now I remember why I will never shop at this store again. Sephora refuses to refund my money, instead opting to give me a "store credit" and "gift card" instead of refunding in the original form of payment. i was well within their 30 day return policy. Sephora finds ways to corner the consumer and force them to spend money in their store fraudulently. I must say I have a much better experience with this store. They have improved much over the years making it a far more pleasant time shopping! Today I wandered in for my birthday gift. A lovely lady greeted me, offered a tote to use and assistance. They adore giving out samples of everything which is delightful - try before you buy! They carry the whole line of Ren now which makes me very happy. I wanted to try out some of their cleanser and moisturizer which they had bagged and tagged for me in sheer moments! I grabbed a double pack of Avian spray - don't judge me, that stuff is heaven when it starts getting warm out! I keep one in the car and one in my purse. As a person with Asian skin, it can be a bit hard to find foundation! I've tried 5 brands in the past recommend by Ulta. My skintone is light-medium with warm undertone. All of the foundations I've tried either oxidize super fast or the consistency is too thick and hard to apply, OR are just too light. Being in the Beaverton area, I thought I'd give this Sephora a try. I was paired with Saber (? My husband caught their name. Please correct my mistake if it is not their name!) who listened to my problems with foundation and went ahead and poured a few samples of Tarte hydrocealer on a clear board and held it to my face. She let me sample the one she felt was close to my skin tone and I legit freaked out inside as I dabbed it into my cheek! What the fuck - it is light-medium neutral!! It looked incredible on my skin, light weight, and nice. I also wanted a recommendation on a concealer that is close to my foundation - that could cover my dark under eye circles without it looking too damn obvious that I'm wearing make up. Saber recommended RMS beauty concealer in shade 22. I sampled 2 shades and went with 22. At home, I tested the Tarte Hydrocealer light medium neutral + RMS concealer in 22 and fml, I LOOK NATURAL and awake! I'm very grateful! read more

Firstly, most of the people who work here are very nice. I came in wanting help to find an eyeliner for a winged look, and spoke to a woman up front about potentially purchasing a full face makeup Service. No artists were available, so I asked about a feature focus She told me I'd have to wait about 10 min and I said that was fine, and asked about some other products and she directed me to the Sephora makeup line area (sigh). The woman who approached me about 10 min later was extremely pleasant. That's about where the pleasantness of experience ends, however. I explained I was going to have some photos taken this evening for my birthday and described my outfit, and showed her some pics of the look I wanted (super straightforward stuff, winged liner since I hate doing it myself, basic creme on eyelids with darker shadow and lashes. She asked me if I had any makeup experience and I told a white lie and said I don't do my makeup. Well, I don't *currently* do my makeup bc I'm extra exhausted but I have a lot of knowledge and especially know what looks good on my face. The MUA told me due to the way my skin pulls near my laugh lines and my hooded eyes she couldn't do a winged liner on me and make it look good with the kit she had. Yikes. Oof. Umm, what? Is this Sephora? A literal makeup store touting "professional MUAs"?? She showed me a stamp that some people use on one side, and did a poor drag of a line on the other. And OFC NEITHER LOOKED GOOD. I'm 35. I'm not dead. You CAN apply a very lovely winged liner on my eyes and it looks heavenly. I just wanted to pay to have it done for my birthday instead of having to do it myself. Anyway... She commences to pull out a drudgy glitter blue shadow and I'm like oh that's not what we are using right? Like, I get she heard I'd be wearing blue and was like oh ok let's do blue shadow...NO. I don't want to be all blue. I want what I showed, a basic deep red or brown with creme. Ok, she finally asks what I want and I say any of these but not these, and the "nos" were only two, the blue and green. She commences doing my eyes and I'm getting excited to see the results. Despite me telling her I have difficulty finding makeup that doesn't make my creases more obvious and We wanted to focus on eyes, she opts to be "nice" despite sh*tting on my skin, my choices, my eyes, etc...and dabs powder on my entire face and gives me a shiny maudlin light purple lip to go with my smudged liner. Also, I've never, ever experienced someone apply mascara in that manner. My 5th graders do better. Like, what is that dabbing technique? When I looked at it in the mirror... I looked like I was 10 years older and had slept in my makeup overnight. Eyelashes going all directions...I kept my smile on and paid, thanked her for only charging me for the eyes (since that's what I asked for only, anyway), tipped her well...and proceeded to go out to my car and take almost ALL of it off. Thank god I had backup makeup in my car. So very disappointed. I was so stoked to get professional makeup done as I was told they're all certified MUAs...but I CANNOT imagine any of them looked at me and thought "wow she looks lovely!" And I AM, most often...but not after that. I should have taken pics but honestly I was so anxious to get it off I didn't snap any pics. Four stars instead of five, because crowds aren't really my thing, and neither are Big corporate chains, with exception of Nordstrom of course, and West Elm...OK, I may be a bit hypocritical on this one ;). That being said, this location always to seems to have what I'm looking for, and beyond. The sales people are quite knowledgeable, friendly, and unfortunately have a talent for pointing me in the direction of something new and fun. McKayla recently did a makeover for me, for a themed party. She was sweet as can be and did a very good job. I will certainly use her again for a special occasion makeover. I am that person who comes in describing what I want a product to do for me and they are somehow able to locate one that meets or exceeds my expectations. The gal that helped me color match was helpful and super nice. Checkout process was meh. Simple swap - easy peasy. The gal didn't even ask if I wanted to use my points (I was clearly scoping out their case). She just wanted to get me outta there ASAP (I was the only person in line). Maybe she had to use the bathroom. I dunno. Overall. Totally felt like I was a bother. Went in today seeking a men's fragrance, the two employees working briefly said, "hi find everything?" Moderate tinged of annoyance in voice. Asked for a specific type, with a quick, "nope this is all we have" by one employee and they continued their side conversation while simultaneously blocking all of the men's fragrances. No question if we'd like to order online or check online.. nor a "have a nice day". All in all won't go back considering 800 ft away the Macy's fragrance workers were literally running from one department to another to check and double check for us. I hate this Sephora. Over the years I've had so many issues with this store. It's hands down the worst location, the employees suck here so badly. I keep coming back because it's close to where I live, but honestly driving the extra distance to go to the Bridgeport location is worth the extra gas. If you want to be color matched wrong, deal with condescending behavior (though let's be real these people work a minimum wage mall job, what's up with the superior complex?) and feel unwelcome then look no further. Great store location | Excellent service $$ First time going to this location. It was SO busy!! Lots of shoppers at this location on a weekend, and apparently it's a normal volume of people. Don't let that and the line deter you from shopping here though. There's plenty of people working on the floor all eager to help. Christa approached me when I was looking at the Bare Minerals section. SO glad she did because if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have made a good purchase for a concealer. She was thorough and very sweet. She took the time to match and apply the Josie Maran concealer on my blemishes, and in the end I felt assured that I got the right color to conceal the redness. Also, she rang me up on the spot instead of me having to stand in line. Thanks, Christa! Highly recommend seeing her for your makeup and skincare needs. I would leave 0 starts for this specific location if I could. I came in a couple of weeks back to buy specific makeup items and a possible fragrance. The WHOLE time I was watched, asked repeatedly if I needed help when NO ONE else around me got asked. When I was asked if I needed help and said no, would turn "secretively" and look up and down at me. The last time I caught her doing it, I stared at her and she said "are you SURE you don't need help?" Nope, i'm good. I proceeded to buy my items and I left. No one deserves to shop like they're being watched for shoplifting. I've been using makeup for years now and have always shopped at Sephora. NEVER have I ever stolen. Looks like they're doing a great job on hygiene and taking cautionary measures. Felt safe to be there, everyone was masked and staying a good space apart despite it being absolutely booming with customers. I want to give a shout out to the staff member who helped me with my online returns. I had a lot of them, and she was very courteous and efficient, none of the eye rolling or impatience I've gotten from Ulta staff before while doing returns. This is why I prefer Sephora over Ulta, at least in the Portland metro area; they treat customers better, and are generally more professional. I wanted to get her name cause she was so helpful and kind through the lengthy process, to recommend her to get manager or something because I felt bad doing returns in what turned out to be customer rush hour--but she just smiled and said it's ok. My husband purchased a gift card for me for Mother's Day. Upon checkout I was informed that the card had a zero balance. I was then instructed to track down receipt to confirm payment. I returned with receipt and proof they deducted money from our bank account and they still could not credit me back. They assured me that customer service would contact me within 2-3 days. Over a week later Passed with no call. I then had to call and dispute transaction because of non response. This is the 3rd incident with this company. I'm done! If you are looking for help and how skincare and makeup mix, ask for James when you shop. I was looking for the prisme libre powder and left with so much more. James listened to my concerns and made sure I had the products that works for me. I use drunk elephant skincare and I was telling him how my current primer doesn't hold. He said it was because my primer and my skincare don't play well together. Oil vs water. He matched me with the perfect primer and my makeup has been on point. Why does Sephora hire the rudest sales associates? I can't fathom how working a high school level minimum wage job creates such entitlement. This is just one of the many bad experiences I've had at the store. So over the bad attitudes. I bought a few products yesterday. Today I receive an email saying I have a 15% discount that's only good until the end of the day. I called the to ask if I could apply my 15% discount on my most recent purchase because it's a waste to return products just to rebuy them again. The woman on the phone named Anna told me that I was wrong, there was no 15% discount. I tried several times to explain that the discount is extended from the previous sale they had. She was uninterested to hear what I had to say and told me I'd have to prove that my discount was real. She was accusing me of lying and it was very comical. In the middle of speaking she abruptly hands me off to another associate to deal with. I understand the store is busy, but the way I was treated over a simple question she refused to answer was completely inappropriate. I'll be going to Ulta from now on. But what I might like very best about Sephora is they are moving out of that dinky, stupid space in JC Penney's at the Clackamas Mall and opening a beautiful, bright, normal sized store in the summer of 2008 in the Mall. That's right, and when the Max goes straight to the mall in 2009, there will be no reason to walk around without fake eyelashes. Oh yeah, life is gonna be good in Crackamas. *My sister and I saw Cloverfield in the theater, and sat through the entire boring, stupid movie. Employees here really need to learn good customer service and this store needs to figure out their system. I stop by the mall to exchange a product that I got in the mail that does not work. I walked up and notice there was a line all the way to cheese cake factory so I ask the sales associate if she can help me exchange the product since I was not looking to buy anything. I just want a working product. The sales associate told me to go get in line to enter the store to do so. Please fix your system, not everyone has time to wait in a long line to just get into the store, not counting the line to check out inside the store. read more

I seriously cannot come into this store without a 90% chance of finding something amazing and 'having' to buy it. The wide collection of different brands, products, it's all great! My faves....Urban Decay, Smashbox, Dior, and yes, even the Sephora brand is pretty great. On my latest trip in I was looking for a new primer. My face can be a bit oily and sometimes the blot papers are just not enough. I have used in the past Smashbox photo primer....not bad, but expensive. Next, I have used the Urban Decay All Nighter spray...again, not bad, will last a while, but can be expensive. I had yet another expensive brand in hand to purchase when the employee and I chatted for a few about the product and she led me to the Sephora brand primer and noted "it's the best!". Was it more expensive? NOPE! Quite affordable and works great! THANK YOU SEPHORA EMPLOYEE! The rewards program is somewhat decent but can take some time to earn 'free' items. Had a really good experience shopping here today for a Mother's Day gift. I'm a jerk for not remember the two ladies names that helped me because they definitely deserve recognition. 1st I'm very impressed because typically when a dude walks in with a beard they know he doesn't wear makeup so you don't always get the best service. When I walked in they had a smile and were eager to help. 2nd I'm a dude so what the heck am I going to know looking at facial scrubbers. I'm looking at all the attachments thinking man that would work out cleaning my air vents on my car. I said look I have no idea what I should get I just know she wants one. 3rd they offered solid advice and could have sold me a ton of crap because I was willing to do it if that's what they told me I needed. Contrary to other reviews - I was greeted so many times, by so many different people, I lost count. It's almost TOO much of a greeting for me, but I accept it - it is Sephora after all. Pretty much any cosmetic you want, you can likely find, from the lower budget items to the high HIGH dollar items. Sephora is a dangerous place because there's always SOMETHING I feel I HAVE to have. My only note is the cashier looked at me so strangely, I thought I suddenly grew a gigantic foot in the middle of my face - I had to check a mirror for nose luggage. It was just, odd - funny thing is, I don't think she could hear very well with the music playing either perhaps? I still enjoy shopping here, and occasionally get great help (if I want it, which is rare) - and occasionally want to run out screaming because my credit card is about to be maxed. read more

The staff isn't as friendly/ helpful recently :( They're supposedly "happy" to make you a sample but gave me a pea size amount of moisturizer- wth am i supposed to do with that? For being a VIB rouge I sure don't feel that way. This store really took a downturn. They're frequently out of rewards. Today I was in and talking to a worker about the moisturizer I was getting a sample of and her response was "maybe you could try something else..." and just trailed off. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! WSQ SEPHORA IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! Sephora finally talked me into opening a credit card...i bought a ton of stuff online and 2 things didn't work out. When I tried to return them Nichol told me I couldn't without the credit card. I told her I hadn't received the credit card yet as I just opened it online, was there anything she could do since I live an hour away from the closet Sephora. Nichole said "no there was nothing she could do!". I was shocked. I asked if she would call customer service for me, she said no, I asked if I could use their phone to call customer service (I left my cell in the car) Nichole said "no, I could not use their phone!" By this time I was pretty upset. Went out to my car and called Sephora customer service. They were shocked by the way I was treated and called the store for me to talk to the manager. The manager was supposed to come out and speak with me, so I went black in the mall. When I got back to Sephora customer service asked the manger in charge, penny i believe, to come out and speak with me but penny, Nichole and another associate stood at the front entrance giggling saying they aren't allowed to leave the store! WTF? I was still on the phone with customer service and they heard everything. At this point customer service just returned my order for me over the phone and they are investigating the store.
