Brought a friend to get makeup done as part of a girls' weekend, and we had a great time! I had shopped this store before, loving the upscale El Paseo location and easy parking (street or in a lot in the back). This time, I made our appointments in advance, and the manager terrifically heard my needs and made helpful arrangements. When we got there, they were ready for us, and even accommodated another friend who didn't have an appointment, seating us all in a row and making it a fun activity! Furthermore, the makeup artists were a blast (Ricardo was everything to me!), and fixed us up right nicely for our night out. Lovely experience! read more

Arrived yesterday at 415 for a 430 appt, was greeted by Lisa at the door. She took my name and told me to walk around while she checks me in and then she'll come find me. Walked around for a long while- everyone approached me super friendly. Still, though no Lisa. Finally at 4:40 I was approached by another MUA and again told her I was there for my 4:30- she seated me right away and got started. Never heard from Lisa after the initial greeting. Brandi was my MUA and was absolutely a doll! So fun, her energy was fantastic and she made me feel so confident and comfortable. I was super impressed with my makeup look. I've previously only gone to MAC for makeovers, but I think I may be changing that. Honestly Brandi's costumer service and makeup skills are the reason I'd not return to MAC. Things to learn and grow from- follow through when you tell someone you will find them, even if it's just to give them an update (everyone's busy, someone will be right with you etc.) close the loop, follow up. Give Brandi a raise. I wish she worked at the PS location it's closer to home for me and I'd be there all the time! read more

i started coming to this Sephora because it's one of the only ones near my house. everytime I've come here the workers are just straight up rude. there are only a few that I like, one helped me today pick out a primer and she was awesome, so shout out to her! & a young man helped me match my foundation and he was awesome! but the rest are just the worst group of customer service workers I've seen. I went in today to return two items that just didn't work for me, well the girl who did my return was just straight up rude, no smile, no how is your day, just asked "did the brushes not work for you" and I giggled and said "no" and she just shoved them back in the box, I then asked her if I could return a moisturizer I bought at a different Sephora to their store since they don't sell it, and she said "as long as you have a receipt." Well after the transaction I expected to get cash back, since that's how I purchased my items, well I guess she just assumed that I wanted store credit? um thanks for asking. then I walked around the store looking for new makeup since I now had credit to use and the entire time this old lady, who wears glasses and a black wig follows my boyfriend and I around and had other workers watching us if we were gonna steal. Don't worry hun, I don't need to steal a $24 dollar brow pencil I have money to buy it. I wouldn't recommend this Sephora, especially if you want to shop and not feel like you're being watched like you're a thief. Some days the staff is great and others, they pay very little attention. I go in frequently but for some reason it's never "Welcome back!". Not the warmest greeting for a consistent client but, oh well, I go for the products and not the people. The store is mostly very clean. Not the biggest or with the best selections but one thing is they are more than willing to make a sample for you. You just have to ask, it's not always offered. Another thing that bothered me is that NARS was out of a lipstick and so they put my name in the client binder so that they would call me when it came back in stock. I wanted that particular color for an event I was attending the following week. No call, but I had to go back a few days later to get something else and what do you know, The Color was In Stock! Of course I was happy, but they never called and had I not come back, I would have never gotten it. Empty promises are not cool, ladies. read more

Every time I walk in the associates always greet me with a warm smile. The customer service is unbeatable! They are all very attentive and helpful. Also, try out their complementary facial it's amazing! My aesthetician was Alexis I believe that's his name, he was so gentle and informative with all the products that he put on my skin. i was at Ulta in desperate need of a new foundation and needed a color match...they were nice but they couldn't really help ( i think due to covid), they told me to try some shades on my own. first of all, i have no idea what i'm doing when it comes to makeup. I called Sephora while i was still in Ulta and they said they could help. so i headed down to Sephora an El Paseo..... they helped me out right away! everyone there was really nice. great customer service. i walked out with 2 new foundations and some new perfumes i needed. very happy! will be back again. read more

Today I went in with a Clinique eye shadow that had finally destroyed itself 15 years after I purchased it. It was down to just a couple tiny dots of pigment and I brought it into Sephora and was helped by a very friendly woman named Corina. She searched the store over to match the color to the perfect shade, updated just slightly with a hint of sparkle. She applied to my eyes, and within just a few minutes of me walking in the door, I was walking out happily with my purchase. Every time I come in here, the staff is so knowledgable and helpful, taking the time to ensure we find the selection perfect for our needs and that we leave happy. I've come in before with a friend to help her buy a foundation for her "problem" skin, and she was given full attention for nearly an hour while a saleswoman found the perfect foundation for her. It should be noted that, according to Corina, the salespeople at Sephora do not work on commission. They have no incentive to SELL at you, just to help you find what works. As a customer, it shows, and I appreciate that. read more

Terrible experience! I walked in with my mask on and after 30 seconds of being in the store I was yelled by the woman in a bun and a Stitch face mask. I had lowered my face mask to call my mother to let her know I was in the store since she had asked me to meet her there. The woman yelled at me in front of a line full of customers (at least 10) that I needed to put my mask over my nose. She clearly saw that I was on the phone yet she still interrupted me. I told her I understand I'm just trying to make a call. There was no one even around me and she was at least 10 ft away from me at the register yet she yelled again "ma'am you need to have your mask on". Instead of doing her job helping the customers in line waiting to pay she chose to shame and embarrass me for what was just a quick call. My mother and I are both VIB Rouge members and we chose to come in the store to do our shopping to support the Palm desert location but after my experience today I will only be shopping on Sephora online because I do not deserve to be treated like that nor does anyone else. You think the cashier would apologize when I left after I spoke to the manager...No she didn't. People are coming out of their way to a physical store during this pandemic to support your job and company. This should not be the experience they have. Also, all employees should know that you have no right to tell someone to put their mask on. It is a FELONY to impersonate a medical doctor. When you tell someone they need to wear something for their health you are prescribing a medical device that you know nothing about. If you do this you are breaking the law and can be arrested and sued as well as the company. Management...if you want your store numbers to do well do not allow your staff to treat people this way. This specific team member needs a serious education in customer service especially luxury customer service since you are located on El Paseo. read more

Used my $20 off VIB rouge discount to order foundation and before even opening the product I knew it would be too dark for me. Went into this location to exchange it for the correct color same brand and everything and the lady helping me said I would need to pay the amount I received off on the product in order to exchange it, even though it was the same exact brand. Thought that was a little odd so I held off on the exchange. Well I just went to the Sephora at Victoria Gardens to exchange the foundation and no questions asked the lady helping me was happy to help me exchange it without having to pay more. read more

I've been an avid customer of Sephora for many years (with my first purchase in Paris, 12 years ago...). When I first moved here to the desert a year ago, I was delighted I could still keep up with all my cosmetic needs. The store is one of the smallest I have been to, but it still works for me. It provides the basic staples in my makeup bags ;). I can get my Urban Decay, Boscia, Fresh, Make Up Forever, Smashbox, and Nars (with the exception of the Tokyo palette that they don't carry). I don't really have much of complaint about this location, other than that they tend to close early. Then again, that is what days off are for. read more

The staff there is so nice and welcoming, Tim is hilarious and very knowledgable with the products. This Sephora and the one at the mall inside jc penny's has got to be the worst in the desert... Palm Springs location is mediocre. They need to be retrained on how to treat others and how to excel on customer service. Disgusted, and dismissive looks at me whenever I go there. Have to chase people down like a headless chicken if you want any assistance. I remember coming years ago and I always had such a pleasant and cordial experience. That's not the case nowadays. Workers, listen up and listen up well, get your fucking heads out of your asses and grow the hell up! You don't run this shit. I've been coming to this location for 3 years. I'm always greeted whenever I walk in and everyone has always been helpful and doesn't act like I'm bothering them. There have been several occasions where I went in for an extended period of time to switch make up or to ask about a face wash and everyone was very helpful and took their time to explain the product. I definitely prefer this location over the JCPenny location. That one is small, cramped, carries a limited amount of brands and the girls there are rude and always seemed bothered. Went straight in to buy a simple item. Me and another lady were in line to pay. Well this lady and the employee at the register lasted more than 10 minutes talking even when her purchase was done. Another employee went up to the registers (which i thought was to help me) but simply talked to her coworker and the lady as well then went back to her routine. Excellent customer service. My girlfriend is a regular at Sephora stores in Boston. We stopped here today for her. She bought a few items and we left to grab a cocktail. Then I remembered I wanted to look at a few perfumes. My girlfriend said Sephora was the best place because you could get a little sample perfume to take home. We walked back in the store and I told them what perfume I was wearing and what I was looking for in the new perfume. We went through a bundle of perfumes and I had two ladies trying to help me. I had almost given up and then we found two different perfumes that I liked. I bought one and got a sample of the other one. The girls who helped me were fabulous. I have been to at least 5 different Sephora's and NEVER received such horrible customer service as this place. I walked in and must have been at least 4 people working. I saw one other customer in the store when I was there. I was never greeted by anyone, not one person! I was visiting for a certain reason to match an eyebrow pencil. I have never walked out of Sephora under 100$ so I was prepared to do the same. I walked toward the counter and a sales person was faced toward the back wall putting things in a box. She looked me strait in the eye and looked away, not even hello. So I start to match the color and I am looking down at makeup and another sales person walked up to stock something where I was and again didnt greet me or ask if she can help me. I heard a lot of laughing towards the back of the store, I saw 2 guys that looked like employees? If not they were friends hanging out. Needless to say I walked out and did not buy anything. You know I have to say I quit going to this store as often as I used to .The oldest employee there and one of the managers was so damn rude and churlish. They were having a VIB Rouge only event that I forgot to RSVP for, I figured ok no big deal I am VIB Rouge I will just show them my card at the register when I check out. A girl stood at the front door with a clipboard asking my name I told her and said I forgot to RSVP would you like to see my VIB Rouge card? She declined so I wandered in the store and started shopping like I usually do. Stephanie approached me as if she were literally hunting me down like I was a criminal .She was so damn rude demanding my stupid VIB Rouge card... I showed it to her and she walked off. It was very embarrassing especially since i was a regular at that store and she had seen and spoken to me so many times before! She knew who I was, and for being a VIB Rouge a top tier Sephora customer that treatment was deplorable. Lisa is amazing I saw she was busy on the register she NEVER would have treated me like that, and she would greet me every time I walked in there unless she was swamped at the register. Let me start this off with saying I love Sephora. I spend roughly 350 monthly. I'm a rouge member and I've never wanted to give up using Sephora as my go to Cosmetic store. But I'm done. I moved to the desert two years ago and I'm over this location. It's not employees here. The people that work here are decent, I've had worse customer service experiences. One girl in particular was pretty sweet but for the most part I don't usually need any assistance so I've got nothing to complain about there. But they are always out of what I need. And every month I go in I'm constantly having to find a new alternative to what I was using last month because there is no consistency of products in the store. It's like falling in love and being abandoned each month. It's infuriating. Secondly, I work third shift. It's insanely hard for me to be there during hours of operation unless I don't sleep for 48 hours. There is absolutely no reason for a store THIS BUSY (or at least I'm guessing with the fact that they never have product) to be only open for 6 hours. No valid excuse anyway. I guess corporate no longer wants to pay to staff this store for reasonable hours instead I have to go with having four hours of sleep just so I can manage to stop by a cosmetic shop that will be out of product. And two years is my limit. I'll find something else that doesn't drive me insane just so I can take home a tiny black and white bag soaked in stress and disappointment. But if you're fine with the hours of operation and love to change it up with what you put on your face each month then I salute you. Sephora and I are usually hit or miss as far as customer service goes. Most of the time it is because this particular store is packed with customers on the daily - great for the store, but sometimes not so great for the customers. Anyways, I was lucky enough that today was not too crowded, and Jacqueline helped in every way possible - went above and beyond. I sometimes get a little insecure about coming in because I'm not the smartest when it comes to products. She was honest with how my skin looked, and helped me get where I needed to be. I came in to buy some skin products and learned that if you spend a certain amount they do a complementary hydrating facial! I did the facial and let me tell you my skin feels so hydrated and the best part is you can ask to use certain products that they carry in store! Love the variety of products but the customer service of one particular employee was not appealing. The employee's name is SABRINA. She said the makeup I was wearing did not match. To be quite honest, I did not ask her for her opinion. Also, she said I had lipstick in my teeth- it was fine. My point is, the delivery of her message/opinion and comments were not appealing. To add, I am not very familiar with the makeup industry- I made her aware, but she still was in a hurry to get rid of me. I, myself, as a teacher, make sure my students understand what I am teaching even though they do not all learn the same way. I have to interpret and manipulate the way I teach. I have walked into this Sephora a total of 5 times and no one ever wants to help me!!! I avoid the mall because it's always busy so I keep attempting the elpaseo location for some attention but I give up. The frustrating part is there are employees avaible to help you but God forbid them stop their personal conversations and pretending to organize a section to help a customer. I can see them looking at me from the corner of their eye as I'm trying to get their attention but no they keep talking ignoring me. This has happened in all my visits here except once. The one time I was shopping around and after 5 mins someone asked if I needed help i was like yes finally! Managers need to be notified that yes getting along with coworkers and enjoying your workplace is important but take a time out of your busy gossiping to help someone every now and than! read more

In the beginning of our visit, the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, when it came time to check out and return a couple things, the employee lost her damn mind. Who knew returning something was sooooo hard?! I mean get real sweetheart, I'm a VIB Rouge member and I have been shopping at Sephora for over 15 years. It's stupid that returning ONE item was too much to handle, because I didn't have my receipt (I had my receipt for the other), however, it's connected to my membership card but apparently that wasn't good enough. I had to pull up my Sephora app on my phone to prove that I made the purchase! As if I didn't pay for it!!!! So rude and inconsiderate. Also, the customers before me were offered a free sample and I wasn't- probably because the girl was too flustered to multitask. Made a reservation here to have my makeup done for graduation. I was taken care of by Lana. She did such an amazing job! I showed her pictures of my outfit and ideas that I had for makeup. She looked through everything and listened to what it was I was looking for. When applying my makeup she explained what each product was for and how to apply it. I really appreciated that!
