Very convenient location if your commuting by MTA or NJ Transit, located in the Oculus, you don't even need to go outside! Great selection of all the standard things you can expect to see in Sephora. Friendly and attentive staff, although it took me a minute to find someone to help me. The check out line was ridiculous long. Just a tip; but having staff re-stocking products while there's 10 people waiting to pay is very inefficient.

Never been to a makeup store before in my life and I coma confidently say I will never go back to one. Literally the most anxiety inducing and the manager does not seem to have common sense as there's so many people on the floor to help customers but all the customers in the store are on line and they have one person checking people out regardless of annoying customer making their return so complicated. going to be late to my meeting for no reason when people could've been helpful. apparently they are able to mobile check outs but the manager "just can't do it" for no reason explained. def 0 stars.

We attended our first makeup class at Sephora...the contour and highlighting class. We had so much fun. Turns out my artistic talents had me doing it correctly all along. I still picked up some alternative application methods to add to my own repertoire. Sharon conducted the class and Melissa and Alexus helped as well. Maurice (?) their master artist, stopped by to offer some advice. (He's awesome btw and his lashes are AMAZING) My friend and I will be signing up for future classes. Check them out, every Tues and Thursday or check the website for class listings.

This location is big but I couldn't find any staff available. They busy talking to each other, lol. I just want to see if they have some perfume I want but they don't have it. Normally since COVID 19 I rarely go in-store shopping and I shop at Sephora online. It is good to see the product by my own eyes but what a point to come to the store and didn't get any service.

This is a great Sephora with great people. I love their amazing selection of cosmetics, hair care and skin care. My main gripe is that they won't return a lipstick bc I no longer have the AmEx it was purchased on. They will only give me a store credit, instead of putting it on my replacement card. That's super disappointing. The customer service here is great. Matt is one of the best makeup artists I've ever worked with. He is SO talented but also friendly and personable. If you're spending at least $50 (and let's be real, you're not walking in here spending less than $50), make an appointment to have your make up done with Matt. Pro Tip: make your appointment online and early bc they fill up.

I took advantage of the Perk Treatment by Hydrafacial (free with a $75 purchase). Claire examined my skin and helped me put together a skincare regiment. I wanted to brighten my skin, to keep it moisturized, and to smooth out any unevenness. But, I also wanted a regiment that was simple, quick, and light on my skin. Claire used her recommended products when she did my Hydrafacial so I could experience first hand what my skincare would look and feel like. I ended up with a Caudalie Moisturizing Toner ($28) and Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum, Banana Bright Eye Creme, and C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme (moisturizer). For a makeup remover, Claire recommended the Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water ($12). While I was waiting for my appointment, Tikva helped me pick out an eyebrow pencil color (dark brown) and an eyelash curler (for almond eyes). She was very friendly and eager to help. She even asked me what type of scents I liked so she could give me a fragrance sample. I'm a big fan of jasmine so she suggested the Coco Mademoiselle. To top it off, Tikva introduced me to Sheila, who showed me how to apply the Dark Brown Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz. I don't usually spend a lot of time in beauty stores but I came to the right place in terms of finding nice, patient people who were experts in their craft to help me with my makeup and skincare questions.

Way to step it up! My experiences here have always been lackluster, but today I was wowed! I was greeted when I walked in, which is out of the norm here. I was able to browse a bit, then I approached an associate who was able to help me immediately with the sample I wanted. She gave me 2 different shades to try, which was great! Once at the register, the cashier greeted me warmly and was able to find my insider profile pretty quickly. My birthday is coming, so I opted to choose my free birthday gift. At first I was told that my desired gift was out, but right before I paid, a gentleman came from the back with the last set. My expectations was far exceeded and I hope this is the way this location will be from now on. 5 stars for exemplary customer service guys!

This is more of a 3.5 star review…read more It was one of my best friend's first time in NYC and I thought how fun will it be to create our own fragrances? It's not like we have this in our hometown. Making a reservation is available but I figured we'd be okay as walk-ins especially on a weekday. Upon walking in, we were greeted and felt welcome. Our 'scent specialist' led us to the wall where there's about 11 base scents to smell and pick one that suits our liking. My friend EASILY was able to choose quite a few that she loved. I, however, struggled. Nothing stood out to me. It was either way too light where I can't smell it or way too strong and masculine. I love light florals, beachy, clean/fresh and none of the base scents were any of that. In the end, I settled for "Rae" (smells mainly citrus?) as my base while my friend choose "Reed." After choosing our base, our scent specialist started adding different drops of other scents they believe you'll like on top of your base scent. They combined plenty of different options (like over five different combos). I ended up choosing a mix of hydrangea, geranium and lilac. Sounds good to me...hey, remember I like fresh, light florals. Sadly, even with all the scents of florals mixed in my finished bottle, I ended up only mainly smelling the citrus from my base scent. This was a cool experience but left disappointed. You're essentially mixing pre-designed perfumes/scents together to make "your" blend, you're not creating a perfume totally from scratch. I've read some reviews about weak staying power. I also have a friend who made her own bottle before and also said the same thing. However, I can smell my freakin "Rae" headache inducing scent HOURSSSS later. Go figure, right? The total was about $93 and that's tax included for a 1.7 fl oz. bottle.

I dropped in without an appointment and although they were busy still found a way to see me. Miles…read morewas wonderful, extremely knowledgeable about scents and fragrances, friendly and kind. I'll definitely be back with my friends! Great experience and I got a new perfume custom to me.

Their product, belief system, and impeccable fragrances made me a fan at first sniff! They've been around since 2006 and have taken the fragrance industry by storm with innovation, creativity, passion, and love for all things perfume. The smells are out-of-this-world, unique & original. I highly recommend the City Collection as well as the Home Collection (candles to die for). There are a few locations throughout Manhattan...however, this flagship/original location remains my favorite. It is after all where I fell in love with their product. Highly-skilled and caring folks who aren't just after a sale but really want you to be your happiest. True artistry.
