I haven't worn makeup n lost the gift card my children gave me up until April of this year so I decided to give my self of a treat. My pretty makeup loving colleague came with and suddenly I was like who will help. The associate who approached her started talking all this complicated stuff that I didn't know and she basically like ignored me and took my colleague to see makeup (mind you I was the one with the money HA). Anyway thank goodness for an associate who was doing a task in the back by the perfume. She engaged with me asked a few questions and boom I was like take my money. I got some Prada perfume and cashed in some loyalty points for a makeup setting spray I'm obsessed with a new lip gloss. Little did she know it gave me the confidence to start looking into wearing makeup again. And as per the other associate baby it's all good. read more

I had an unpleasant experience at this Sephora location. One of the staff members, a Little girl look like Ariana Grande with a high ponytail, spoke to customers in a very abrupt and unfriendly manner, without any smile or basic courtesy. The tone felt unnecessarily harsh and made the interaction uncomfortable. Customer service is not just about efficiency, it's also about respect and attitude. Being addressed like this is simply not acceptable. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reminds staff that professionalism also includes how you speak to people. read more

I've been to this location a few times but it takes forever to find within the mall. The location isn't so big but what makes it bad is the customer service. I practically had to hunt a staff representative down for assistance as opposed to getting greeted at the entrance like you typically do at a majority of Sephora locations. The inventory here isn't the best. You're better off shopping online or going to another location. I won't be surprised if/when this location shuts down in the near future. read more

Stopped in for a curling iron and they only had two options. Wished they had more of a selection. The store was neat and organized. Very friendly staff. I asked a lady for help and she was friendly and asked if I need more assistance after showing me the location of the curling irons. Love that they carry kerastase hair products. I went to Sephora today and ready to spend on a very expensive shade of red lipstick at this location. I asked the nearest Associate for assistance, as the shade I was looking for wasn't there. The store was basically empty, and their associate couldn't be bothered. It was also of annoyance to her to find the missing shade, gave me an attitude and walked away. Didn't even ask me if I had found what I was looking for or whether I wanted to test the color, or expressed any interest. I am a Latina (just like she was) a quite successful and down to earth one. She took one look at me from the bottom up, and dismissed me, but went on to help the more affluent looking individual. Nice compact store layout in the Oculus Westfield Mall. I was in the area and needed to pick up my free birthday gift. This is a great Sephora with great people. I love their amazing selection of cosmetics, hair care and skin care. My main gripe is that they won't return a lipstick bc I no longer have the AmEx it was purchased on. They will only give me a store credit, instead of putting it on my replacement card. That's super disappointing. The customer service here is great. Matt is one of the best makeup artists I've ever worked with. He is SO talented but also friendly and personable. If you're spending at least $50 (and let's be real, you're not walking in here spending less than $50), make an appointment to have your make up done with Matt. I took advantage of the Perk Treatment by Hydrafacial (free with a $75 purchase). Claire examined my skin and helped me put together a skincare regiment. I wanted to brighten my skin, to keep it moisturized, and to smooth out any unevenness. But, I also wanted a regiment that was simple, quick, and light on my skin. Claire used her recommended products when she did my Hydrafacial so I could experience first hand what my skincare would look and feel like. I ended up with a Caudalie Moisturizing Toner ($28) and Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum, Banana Bright Eye Creme, and C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme (moisturizer). For a makeup remover, Claire recommended the Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water ($12). While I was waiting for my appointment, Tikva helped me pick out an eyebrow pencil color (dark brown) and an eyelash curler (for almond eyes). She was very friendly and eager to help. She even asked me what type of scents I liked so she could give me a fragrance sample. I'm a big fan of jasmine so she suggested the Coco Mademoiselle. To top it off, Tikva introduced me to Sheila, who showed me how to apply the Dark Brown Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz. I don't usually spend a lot of time in beauty stores but I came to the right place in terms of finding nice, patient people who were experts in their craft to help me with my makeup and skincare questions. read more

Way to step it up! My experiences here have always been lackluster, but today I was wowed! I was greeted when I walked in, which is out of the norm here. I was able to browse a bit, then I approached an associate who was able to help me immediately with the sample I wanted. She gave me 2 different shades to try, which was great! Once at the register, the cashier greeted me warmly and was able to find my insider profile pretty quickly. My birthday is coming, so I opted to choose my free birthday gift. At first I was told that my desired gift was out, but right before I paid, a gentleman came from the back with the last set. This location is shiny new and sits inside the newly World Trade Center transportation hub, Oculus but is extremely difficult to locate. This Sephora is located on the lower level of the South Concourse inside Oculus after a endless series of labyrinth winding escalators and stairs. I desired Sephora's brand of eyeliner which is waterproof and retractable. The product samples and tools for applying/ removal are abundant. Stock and inventory are organized and abundant. Only giving 2 stars because of the one woman that helped me. I didnt get her name but she was sooo sweet & patient. She was short, a long winged eyeliner & was wearing glitter on her eyes. Thank you for helping me sample foundation shades for my kit. As for 'Ash' she was nice at first, but once I asked for too many shade samples, she got annoyed as was rude as fuck. The employees act like theyre bored & just stand there talking to each other until its time to clock out. I got ignored by 4 people cause their shift was ending. Im a makeup artist & go to sephora all the time but this was the WORST sephora ive been to & wont be back. Hire new staff cause yall are fucking terrible. read more

The staff here have become very trashy and rude. Sephora used to feel like an upscale makeup store, but now it's more like a convenience store where someone follows you around as if you'll shoplift. Also, I saw a staff member knock over a rack of items that fell on the floor with a loud crash, and over the next few minutes I noticed that they just picked things up and placed it all back on the rack to sell. No opening things to check if it was damaged or broken, especially the powders. All the fragrance testers smell like they've been there for years and you can't smell anything but alcohol. read more

This is such a nice Sephora. The sales associates are always happy to get samples and explain how to use the products, but they're never pushy about trying to sell me a million things. The makeup artists are great at color matching. Shout out to the fragrance section associate who was able to find a new perfume I loved in under 5 minutes! They should add some chairs or a bench for all the boyfriends though. I always see them lined up against the wall outside looking mournfully through the glass at their girlfriends. I like that this Sephora is on my way home... I usually like stopping in here. As a regular, I don't usually need help, but every so often I do and customer service does matter. Despite the holiday season, the store was pretty dead. I was looking for a specific dry shampoo, and I know this Sephora carried the travel size, but I wanted the regular sized can. After looking at the other brands, I didn't see the can... but luckily an employee walked up to me, Do you need any help? Actually, yes, I was wondering about a brand of dry shampoo I don't see on the shelve right here, but I noticed you have it in travel size. 'We have a bunch' ::motions behind her to the wall behind her:: 'Well, I'm looking for a specific one that I don't see up there, let me show you'... ::pulls out my phone:: 'One second I'll be right back' ::wanders off:: Maybe she was helping a customer before me, maybe she got called on her radio. Okay, that's cool. But then, I turn around and hear her walk up to another customer, and ask if they need help. Hmm... A few minutes later, she walking around again, 'Does anyone need any help?' 'Yes, I was wondering if you have the full size of...' ::goes to unlock my phone:: 'Oh sure! Which one? ...one second' ::and she wanders off:: I see her rearranging some products... and she's back again! 'Does anyone need any help?' Both myself and another girl answer yes, at the same time. Is this girl Dory from finding Nemo? Does she seriously not remember she's asked me three times if I've needed help, and when I've said yes, she's just wandered off? At this point I've had enough. 'You know what, just help this other girl.' 'Are you sure?' 'Yes, I've had about all the help I need for today.' This location isn't huge, and perhaps the selection is smaller than than the bigger ones, but I have never encountered a problem. I come here around once ever six weeks. Not quite monthly, but I've come to this location ever since it opened years ago. The staff has always been nice and helpful when needed, but not overbearing or pushy. Every time I came to find something, whether it be very specific, or I had a general idea and asked for help; I always walked out with what I wanted and was satisfied with the experience. read more

This Sephora is really not well run at all. I came in trying to buy foundation and couldn't grab anyone for 15 minutes to help me color match. This is partially my fault because I'm a bit shy and wasn't as aggressive flagging someone down as I should have been, but the woman whose attention I finally got was so rude! She acted like I was insane for loitering by the foundation and when I asked for help color matching she acted like I was an idiot. I asked if they still had those color matching hand held machines out of frustration and she literally left and sent someone else to help. That lady was very helpful and I appreciated it, but it would be nice if acting for assistance with picking out product wasn't treated with such disdain. This must be the worst sephora location. The staff is genuinely rude and pretentious. They're never fully stocked. You can return in a week and a certain item would still be out of stock. You pay for your stuff and the cashiers don't offer any samples to you unless you ask for them. Shouldn't you be giving out these samples to anyone making a purchase? What's the big secret here? That these people are cheap. And recently they ran out of those little sample baggies where they label whatever samples you're asking for. It's been weeks and you still haven't gotten a hold of those sample baggies yet? What's going on here? And what's up with the horrendous scent when you enter the store? It stinks in there. The perfume and cologne section is all the way at the back, yet the smell finds a way to reach the front of the store. This entire store is disgusting and a joke. read more

I'm sad writing this review but it happens enough time that I will avoid going to any Sephora stores in the future. You spend your hard earn money at these stores and expect some decent customer service, you're lucky if you get a look in your direction let alone a hello or any help. I pretty much expect when I go in to have to figure it out my own but sometimes you do need help with your color match which is the only time I attempt to ask for help which I dread when I have to do so. How sad is that. Then after that you have no choice but to go to the cashier, being the 1st on line waiting it took 5 minutes for them to acknowledge and call you when they did they looked down and no hello or anything. Didn't ask if I had my points card until she was half way ringing up my items and after she saw I was holding it in my hand I'm pretty sure if I didn't have it out she wouldn't have asked. Didn't offer any samples like they've done in the past or asked if I care to used my points to get any of the items (I do have points to use) it was such a miserable experience. I could have just ordered the $200 worth of stuff I needed online and not interact with these people. I really wanted to restore my faith in Sephora. I've finally learned to accept low quality service from staff here. I try to just grab what I need and go. It's synonymous to my experience at CVS, only I don't have to worry about rude staff there. But apart from limited product availability (every single thing I asked for was out of stock), the bad attitude is completely uncalled for. Seriously consider investing in ways for your customer-facing staff to add more value to store visits. I think I'll just keep ordering my stuff online elsewhere. Zero stars if I were able to apply it. I had the most unpleasant experience at this location today. After waiting on line to return/exchange an eyebrow pencil, the associate at the register called another employee/associate to look the item over. The so called manager (you know the kind: uneducated yet enjoying a power trip like she's the CEO) accused me of using half of the item which was totally untrue and something I've never done in the past nor consider doing. Background information: I bought the Sephora pencil (the swivel kind that breaks off easily which is why it appeared used and why I was EXCHANGING for another item by adding more money to it) about three weeks ago and used it a couple times but stopped after it broke twice. At this Sephora today, I wanted to exchange to buy a more reliable brand (the kind that's sharpened). Needless to say, the nasty manager refused to complete the transaction. This is not the way customer service is defined. Granted, I'm a very long time customer of Sephora and a VIB Rouge member (meaning I spend hundreds of dollars in a given year. Why would I resort to using an item and returning it?) and not that I have a sense of entitlement but the treatment I was given was really unappealing. So not cool. The good news is that I then went to another Sephora and the associate happily completed the transaction that I was refused at this location. No questions asked. To the so called manager at this location---please quit your day job. You are obviously not equipped nor competent to work with consumers/customers. On 10/10/20 went to Sephora locates at the mall of the World Trade Center. I love Sephora and their services, never had any problems, until yesterday. I got some perfume and went to hair products area to get dry shampoo which I use quiet often. I have noticed a new brand of a dry shampoo, So I looked up the ingredients and spray in the air a bit to check it scent. Right away young guy came around and told me to put the product down, explaining that I can't touch or spray it . I replayed : can you spray it for me ? They employee said NO! then informed me that Sephora only allowed to testers spray in the perfume area My next question was how I can buy something if I can't read ingredients or smell it ? Then I continued : so I have to buy your product go outside of Sephora doors , spray it and if I do t like I have to go back and return ? And do it over and over again until I find the right product ? The employee said : YES ! Of course I reply this is insanity and bull shit policy ! In any food store, any drug store you can touch products and read Ingredients ! The employee got angry with me for no reason.. told me that he is the manger and I have to stop cursing at him . I asked what did I say to you , he replayed BS word I told him BS is not cursing and I did not curse at him but your policy definitely BS! The next was something .. this employee told me to leave the store and called on me security.. I told him that I'm medical care provider and I was working all covid lockdown without break and instead 10% discount promised medical personnel i was asked to leave the store and called security on for no reason at all ! By the was this so called manger told me he does not care if I'm medical care provided or work during lockdown When he told me that I was ready to burst in tears ..
