I came on a Monday afternoon to just check out the latest product at Sephora. I came across a sale and I was looking through the items when Edward (according to another staff) attempt to help me. He was very rude in trying to do so. The gondola I was looking at was not organized in accordance to Shade & tester. I said no I don't need help it's just a little messy, but I can mange. I COMPLETELY understand not all Sephoras can be tidy at all times. But I TRULLY could manage and wanted no help. It seemed as though me saying it was "messy" triggered him and took it personal. Even though I I didn't mind nor wanted his help. He actually then steps in attempting to help me on what I was looking for in a certain shade range and he was trying to guide me for the medium darker tones, when it was NOT what I was looking for . He then proceeded to give me unsolicited advice on make up when he doesn't even know who I am nor that's Ive be in the Makeup industry for over 15yr working in Los Angeles. The store was clean. It was also quite empty so I felt comfortable shopping but after that experience, I just wanted to leave. read more

I bought a product, lost the receipt, and went to exchange it because it's supposed to be registered in the system with my phone number. Now it turns out they didn't enter me into the system, and they won't exchange the product, which I think is awful because I haven't even had it for a week. Got my makeup done here for my 40th birthday and I was pleasantly impressed with a lot of things - i randomly chose a makeup artist - her name is Mickey and she was THE BEST!! I like how they ask you what brand of makeup do you prefer before applying. The makeup area is clean and inviting and the other artists are super friendly. The price was great $60!! Others charge $100 so the price is competitive! Will schedule again when I have another special occasion! read more

Im on vacation, and we happened to find this Sephora while out shopping, so I stopped in to get my eyebrows waxed. The very friendly lady that greeted us gushed about how good Mickey was, and made me an appointment to return after her break. I won't lie, at first glance it seemed that they were right, I didn't have on my glasses, my fault. I asked what she was putting on my eyebrows when she was done, she told me it was wax conditioner something or another. When I got to my car and examined them up close, all I could do was say DAMN! She got me, that wax conditioner was more like camouflage for what I could have done myself. What makes me more mad than anything, is that I tipped $20 for a $21 service, because I believe fully in tipping, but my goodness it wasn't deserved at all. Lesson learned, I won't step foot in another Sephora that's for sure. read more

This is my favorite Sephora location to go to. It's located in the French Quarters but it's pretty large. The staff is knowledgeable and always friendly. They have been pretty empty since the pandemic so now is the time to go. You will definitely get one on one attention if you need help. The staff wears masks and regularly sanitize surfaces. I frequent this particular Sephora quite often as I live close by. I've never experienced such cold, rude behavior by an employee here as I did today by an employee named Korian. I felt physically uncomfortable being by her as she was doing a color match- I could literally feel her displeasure at either me or just being at work. I'm choosing to believe the latter. Even a compliment to her makeup was met with a frown and disgust. I asked for advice on makeup application and was told "that's up to you", again with a disgusted look on her face. Bizarre and uncalled for- seems like a miserable person. I was planning on buying a few products today-I cannot leave the store without spending serious cash- but did not because of this employee. There was a security guard at the front playing on their phone. Everything was neat, clean and well organized. The staff here is great. Maybe it's the southern charm. I would only complain about how everytime I was getting a new shade testing for concealer or foundation the color match device got it wrong. Also, the samples were running low too. The person color matching me had to do magical trick to get a little dab out of the samples. We all came in for Fenty products, Rihanna's new makeup line. They were out of DD and my cousin's highlighter colors, but they had everything I wanted. I got 2 Cosmic glosses and a Glitz lipstick. The employees were super nice and helpful. Michael, however, is a standout star! He was working the cash register and boy was he a delight! His personality is so awesome. Avoid this store at all cost! Had the most devastating experience this morning . I brought my gay best friend in for his FIRST EVER makeup/Sephora experience. Since he is newbie I requested he be color matched . Immediately , Korian was disgusted . She acted as though she didn't want to touch him , as if homosexuality is contagious ! She had a sour face , didn't speak to him , acknowledge him or make him feel welcome in anyway . Noticing the discomfort on both ends I tried to break the ice & ask what was the result . She didn't respond to the question but ask what brand does want . I said pull up a few options so that he can decide what type of finish he likes . She nastily replied "Well I'm asking what kind so I can narrow it down ! " Immediately we walked out ! But returned because she needed to be called out on her disgusting BLATANT homophobia which is not ok anywhere at anytime to anyone but ESPECIALLY in a store LGBTQ consumers frequent & as a card holder & beauty insider who spends HUNDREDS of at Sephora yearly ! I was so hurt and embarrassed , my friend was on the verge of tears which rocked me to my core & made me breakdown immediately. Rather than rectify the situation the manager Kate ran outside after us aggressively, screaming that we were rude to address that in front of everyone . Mind you we were literally the only ones in the store ! And even if we weren't we are customers ! The whole staff with the exception of the young male black manager & empathetic cashier needs to be retrained . Starting with the first rule of customer service which is that THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT . And the second rule of not judging a book by its cover . While it ruined our day ultimately it was their loss because we will NEVER be back , will be taking this to the highest level of corporate & they lost out on what could've been a hefty sale . This store is really 'meh.' There's nothing exceptional about it. You have to find downtown parking, so I'd only recommend going here if you are downtown anyway. Trying to get an Uber/Lyft from here can be a pain because the street is divided and so sometimes the drivers will wait for you on the other side. I've been here about five times. The staff has always been mediocre, nothing too bad and nothing great. On the couple of occasions where I've bought something, I received no samples. They have trouble finding me in their beauty system all the time. I know theft must be an issue because they follow me around. I don't look like I wear a lot of makeup, and if I know I'm going to Sephora, I might wear no makeup at all so that I can have a fresh face to try stuff on. My guess is they assume people with no makeup on are less likely to buy stuff. read more

The location, to me, is perfect. I went in for the VIB Rouge sale for 20% off and spent too much money. I was greeted in every world (Makeup, Hair, Skin and Fragrance.) I really wish I would have got the names of the two girls who helped me. The girl in skincare had beautiful skin and knew a lot about skincare. THIS WILL BE THE FOURTH time I go shopping I also get three samples and at the checkout the cashier sneaks them from my basket into her pocket/trash/ wherever. Some associates are more generous than others when you ask for samples.
