I was looking for lotion and found a lush. I was on vacation and unfortunately did not come prepared for the weather. It was extremely hot I was wearing a dress and needed something to put on my legs. I came across a lotion bar. It was a very small one but it was only $2.50. I couldn't beat the price so I got it. So, I was walking by with my boyfriend today and a girl standing at the door handed me a sample which I took, as I usually do bc I don't like ignoring people especially when they're working. When I took the sample I looked at her and said " thank you" to which she paused and then said : " oh, let me get you something for the lines under your eyes-let me get something for you" as if I had canals running through my eye area. Mind you, I'm in my early 20s and I ( at least to my knowledge and sight) don't have any lines. I thought she was gonna compliment my eye color when she paused bc people usually do( I have an unusual green-blue color eyes Also I think it's really uncalled for and really unkind. And stupid if you're trying to make a sale bc I threw away the sample and left. ( while saying " what lines??" So... not a review in the actual store but I think they should get better, kinder ( and maybe more business savvy or just not mean girls) people to work there read more

What's really cool, is that their products are handmade by their compounders, labeled with that persons name, and the date it was made. Cool, right ?!? The details payed to their products, the design of the stores, the ingredients of every item, are just part of this awesome experience. I love that they offer such a variety of products to be used from head to toe. Their shampoo bars smell so good, they make me want to wash my hair all the time! The foot soak is a must try. It's one of the best smelling places in the quarter. The smells waft down the street covering up the smell of old fish and tinkle. The store was stocked with items that I couldn't get at the local lush in my home town. So that was nice. The fresh face mask display was pretty. I thought the staff seem preoccupied by their own conversations to help me and a couple other people. They're knowledgeable in their product and always willing to make suggestions or leave you to browse on your own if that's your preference. I was introduced to the Lush line of products via a Christmas present a few years ago from my sister in law and knew I had to have more. The gentle smells and the organic products are gentle on my sensitive skin. My hair can be a frizzy hot mess during dry weather and their hair products smooth the tangles. This is a great location, friendly staff, and the last time I went in, they even gave me some free samples to take home as I was making my purchase. How awesome is that? The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I do not like is the fact that some things are just out of reach for me. I am 5', and some of the shelves are difficult to reach. This Lush location is one of the best ones I've ever been to - I live in DC, travel frequently for work, so I've been to my share of Lush locations (I just seem to gravitate towards them - must be the smell ;) ). It's a beautiful store - lots of space and I love the old French quarter buildings/architecture! The thing that takes the cake for this Lush location though, is their customer service. They are AMAZING and was so helpful to me today - I am over the moon with them right now - this is how customer service is done. Thank you, Lush! Offering vegan products is so important to me. The people working at this Lush were extremely helpful. I explained my mammal allergy and they went to work finding me vegan product. The stuff I bought off Amazon made my hair look awful, so I am so glad the Lush shampoo does not! They made me samples of their makeup - a bit of color and a bit of lotion. This location is tiny, and tries to maintain a wide open door policy to usher in tourists traipsing down royal street. in the heat and humidity of NOLA, however, this means all their samples and displays are literally melting int he heat, and looked really unappealing. i had no interest in trying ANYTHING in that sort of environment,especially one of their many soft, semi solid, or gelatinous products staff was incredibly friendly, and though a line built up they still took the time to treat each customer as if they were the only one there, which can be refreshing change read more

The staff here are incredible. I've never had bad service or even just mediocre service at any of the lush stores I've gone to and I've been a customer for like 10+ years. The only complaint I have about this establishment is the watching and recommending from the staff. It isn't a large store at all, so when you walk in and they are staring and watching you the entire time you're in there, it becomes awkward, uncomfortable, and kind of makes me want to leave. Now, I understand the worry for theft and wanting to sale product, but in my opinion, Lush takes things too far sometimes. Walked in to look for their lip sugar scrub and my daughter was looking for a bath bomb. Their customer service is spectacular. My husband also love this place because they had what he was looking for as far as beard grooming and exfoliant. After our purchase they also gave us 4 free samples to they out some products we liked before we purchased. That to me was a plus because no one does that now. Great location! Great staff! This location is incredibly busy (and sometimes hard to find parking nearby) as it is in the French quarter. But I definitely don't mind especially in comparison to the more spacious Garden district location. The shop is small and busy but I was still able to maneuver and find what I was looking for as well as receive assistance when I asked for it. AND NO ONE HARASSED ME!!! It was wonderful! WAY better than the garden district location! And I didn't have to beg for a sample in fact, they offered one without me even asking and you can bet that I will be buying that product the next time I come in! This shop is super adorable. It smells phenomenal and is set up nicely. Immediately as I walked in I was greeted by a nice young man. I mentioned to him I was interested in hair products and he recommended I speak with the young lady that was very knowledgeable in their products. I appreciate the fact that he directed me to her instead of selling me on stuff that he didn't know much about and I really did appreciate that. The young lady named Lexi, she was very nice and of course very knowledgeable in the products for hair. I was even able to sample a couple products and eventually landed up buying a few. I found the employees to be very friendly, resourceful and comfortable to be around. When I return to New Orleans I will be sure to stopBy the shop to enjoy any new products and buy some of the ones that I had purchased already. I just bought some products from Lush maybe a few days ago and they were surprisingly awesome. However I got a few beefs with this place, mostly with the entire business in general. No it's not the price. They're high as hell but whatever. But literally no matter which Lush store I go to, from the one in Chicago to this one in New Orleans, the employees hound the HELL out of the customers. I forget why I don't like going into Lush stores but then I remember. The overly nice and cheerful employees constantly suggesting and helping. Can't walk from one part of the store to the next without someone asking me if I've ever tried this or that. All I want to do is look around and shop for myself but they are on me like flies. It makes me not want to go there anymore. A quick check up is fine but they literally have NO Chill. And the store on Royal St. is too damn small for employees to be doing all that stalking. It makes me nervous. I understand that it's there job but I wish I could let the Higher Ups know that it's not necessary for employees to do that, it's nerve racking. The products are great, no need to hound. If I need help I'll ask. But on a positive note, the employees are really nice, though. And the products are freaking amazing, great for an occasional splurge. read more

Having tried a few Lush products and loving them .I wanted to become more knowledgeable about what more they had to offer. I went to the Lush on Royal street. Walking in the store was such a treat as you are greeted with the most delicious aromatic scents. I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson, Grace. She guided me towards products after asking what it was that I am looking for and the desired outcome. Her knowledge of the products was excellent. She was most patient and very professional. I was able to sample some lotions to determine what I liked best. I walked away with a much better understanding of the different products as well as a face cream and shower bar . Lush should be very proud to have an employee such as Grace. My experience was 100 % positive and I have become a Lush customer.
