Charging $200 for a trial is steep especially since she worked on the makeup for 45 minutes to an hour. I might have understood if the makeup ended up being amazing but I looked horrible. The correct shade wasn't used and my skin looked dry and aged. The original invoice sent to me quoted $100 for the trial. However, she charged me $200 after seeing my displeasure with the work and told me the $100 quote was actually for a hair consultation; a clear scam on their part. I've done 3 other consultations in New Orleans and no one else charged close to $200. This was by far the most unprofessional experience I've had. I've attached photos of our original agreement, as well as before and after photos of what the makeup looked like vs. what I looked like after wiping it off. I would not recommend Faces of Virtue to any bride looking for a positive and professional experience.

No longer must I fly home to get a highlights or roots touched up. Phew!! Now the salon! It's a private space so only one client at a time which is nice and quiet. I can still get work done as you don't have 8 million blow dryers and people chatting in the background. What noise?? It's airy and bright with expression machine, tea or if you fancy a glass of bubbly...Bib has you covered. I am pretty particular about my hair and It looks great when I leave the salon. I took it in and about two weeks later (because of thanksgiving) I got this magical thing back, looking like a million bucks, and even with purple glitter!!! Under new ownership and a slight name change, Fifi's offers a variety of unique & custom wigs in a range of styles, colors, and lengths. They will even trim your wig for you and also sell cute accessories too. Owner Tommy is delightful as was the young lady assisting in the shop. She helped me with trying on the wig that I selected and explained how to maintain it. The wigs are good quality and will last a long time with proper care. A wig can transform you into someone else and even boost your self-esteem. Plus, they are great for when you are having a bad hair day. I think wigs are fun but never had the confidence to wear one aside from Halloween. That all changed when I sat in the chair and put one on. The darling associate asked if I wanted to wear it out. I said, "Why not." I received so many compliments while walking around the Quarter. I felt good about myself and my decision to "go for it!" Don't be surprised if you see me in a wig next time I'm out and about.

No matter your needs, Midori has you covered and she works with you to bring whatever vision you may have to life. One of the best parts about Midori's work is that she covers the entire spectrum. She has years of experience, so if you need something bold that will get you noticed, she can handle that. If something a little more on the subtle side is more your thing, she can handle that too. Midori excels at makeup that has more "arty" lean, but she can do beautiful wedding looks that will make you feel like a princess. When I was in Midori's chair, she did a beautiful Day of the Dead sugar skull on me that I adored! I had always wanted one and after she helped me style it with a wig, I felt like a doll come to life.
