I have been coming to Melissa at Visage for almost a year now, she was recommended to me by a…read morefriend who had a facial with her. I have been going to another esthetician for regular facials, but I explained to Melissa that I was looking for something a little "stronger" or even more effective. She recommended a series of peels that would really help the texture of my skin and smooth everything out! I was having issues with breaking out and clogged pores since moving to New Orleans and she was able to customize the peel for my exact skin concerns. Her salon is based out of her house, which I find to be quite relaxing. Sometimes I don't want to go to a stuffy salon and deal with the receptionist and have to wait. If you're interested in taking care of your skin and working with a professional, I highly recommend Melissa!!

As a natural red head I have quite literally invisible eyebrows. I'd like to think I have great…read moreshape, but the hairs are just bleach blonde naturally. I typically fill in my brows daily but decided to get them microbladed. Right as my appointment that I wanted like a month for was coming, I came down with covid and Katie was SO flexible and kind on rescheduling. She is clearly a boss so she books up pretty quickly so I had to wait another month for her services. She color matched my brows PERFECTLY and got the shape spot on. Like I said, I already had decent shape but she made them look so defined. I'm not going to lie the healing was quite annoying. You can't get them wet, sweat etc and with the Louisiana heat, it was very hard not to sweat. If I decide to do microblading again I am definitely going to get it done in the winter so I don't need to stress every time I go outside. The scary part about microblading is after the scabs fall off they lighten a lot & then darken back up. Katie eased my anxiety and they looked nice after the first session. I went back for my perfecting session 6 weeks later & they are just about healed now. The healing process was also a lot easier the second time around. I am happy with my results and would recommend Katie to anyone, especially redheads!

I liked her work, so I reached out on the website for an appointment. Response time was quick and Katie was really flexible in accommodating me (I contacted her for a next day appointment during probably the busiest time of year in New Orleans - Mardi Gras). She squeezed me in for the next day and gave me detailed address info so that I wouldn't have any problems finding the place. She even texted me the day of the appointment when an earlier appointment slot became available, which I happily took. When I got there, she got started with me right away (despite me interrupting her break because I was a little early, sorry Katie!). She was very gentle and I didn't experience any discomfort. When I finally was done and looked at my eyes, they weren't red or irritated, something I'd noticed in pics in reviews for other places. And, my lashes were BEAUTIFUL! I got a new full classic set. The whole process took about 2 hours and the lashes lasted for weeks. Katie did an amazing job, plus she's super sweet with awesome customer service. 100% recommend.

Location is nice; remote, but not too remote; near The Clearview Shopping Center (movies, restaurants helllo... Oooops thats for another review). I love the elegant feel & one on one handling of clients. Too many times you go to a stylist & you're playing musical chairs. You move to the bowl, I move to the chair, you move to the chair, I love to the dryer, ughhhhh. I mean I'm all for multi-tasking but at some point, its considered shuffling. AnyWHO, thats not the case here. Appointment set, you arrive, you're seated in the chair, work begins, work is complete, you pay & you leave... #easypeasy. Trang uses the Square reader for payment, so yay... No worries of not enough cash or remembering to record the check in my registry, ughhhh (I'm so bad with balancing). Happy Happy Happy!!!!

Classic Bait-and-Switch - Disappointing Customer Service…read more While the actual service I received was good, the pricing and customer service were extremely disappointing. I specifically booked a Senior Stylist through the website at a listed price of $133. After booking, I received a call requiring a $50 deposit, which I paid. During that call, I was also advised to wait until the next day to see the same Senior Stylist I had originally selected. The morning of my appointment, I received a confirmation link that included a vague statement: "If you booked with a senior stylist, you will be subject to an upcharge at checkout." However, no amount was disclosed, which is misleading and unacceptable. At checkout, I was shocked to be charged $150 instead of $133, along with an automatic 20% gratuity ($30)--bringing my total to $180 for a service I expected to cost $133. When I contacted the salon to dispute the charges, communication stopped, and they have refused to refund the $21 overcharge ($17 price difference + $4 additional gratuity). This experience reflects a lack of transparency and poor customer service. Pricing should be clearly disclosed upfront, not revealed after the service is completed. I am simply requesting a $21 refund to correct this issue. Owner requested proof of website discrepancies and they would happily refund my $21 which I did.. now they are not responding.
