Charged me $87 for a basic set of acrylics. They weren't long, they had a sparkly shimmer to it and that's it. Not to mention half of my nails having giant lumps on AND UNDER the nails due to the nail tech not smoothing them out. She took about 30 minutes on the whole set and screwed up my cuticles. I m so disappointed to write this review. I've been coming here for quite a while. I've had pretty much all of the services they offer. Pedi/ lashes/ wax/ manicure.. you name it. I love when the environment feels welcoming. Seems that as this place grows, I guess the money coming in is more important than retention. My last visit was yesterday booked for 3 different services. I called to ensure Diana was available for the particular service I wanted prior to booking. Last time, she expressed how much she enjoyed waxing and lashes.. I was amazed at her work.. I also was able to book with her online. At the start of the service, they tell me they have another lady to do those jobs. I'm unfamiliar with her and I expressed my hesitation. The hostess assured me she was of quality. I have 4 wax BURNS across my eyes and hair left that she " couldn't get " -her words. I astop the services because of the burning and the just not good feeling I had about her continuing. I express this to the hostess who can SEE THE BURNS. Proceeds to check me out - full total - and apologize as if it's nothing. I messaged the owner Diana with pictures of my face to receive a "I'll let management know" response. I am mortified at the level of respect that was given to my experience. After messaging AGAIN, I was offered a "$10 card" because "services weren't as expected." I drove from Covington, La. just to have this service done by her. Made my appointment, did exactly what I was expected to do. Excited, just to brag to her about my previous visit, only to be tossed aside. I can understand a growing business and adding people for help, that's a wonderful problem to have and a blessing, but if the quality and products used are not the same then inform the client of this, prior to booking. I asked for square French tip nails and obviously didn't get square shaped nails. she didn't even take her time on my nails either. I barely get my nails done as it is because of how picky i am. This is just a no. The lady at the front desk offered for me to come back tomorrow but I literally have prom in another state tomorrow so I don't have time for that. my nails should've been done correctly the first time and there wouldn't be no problem. I'm not even mad. I'm just very sad about my nails. I paid $82 for them and that's after she did a discount. very overpriced. I wish I could be like "I'm not paying that" but that's not how I am. I always go to Yelp for everything but for this place, I relied on "word of mouth". Well, everyone there is super nice, but very frustrating that my nails didn't last past 5 days. I don't think that has ever happened before. This nail salon is definitely the nicest one on the West Bank. I've gone here a few times, I would go more but it is appointment only and I don't usually think ahead when it comes to my nails. But it is worth taking the time to make an appointment. I'm sure you could walk in but you'll be waiting a long time because they are always booked. The nail techs here are so nice and they take their time with you unlike most places. They even ask you what shape you want your nails to be!! This place also offers beverages, including mimosas. So first off I want to highlight how amazing the customer service was during my experience. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a energetic and welcoming receptionist and owner, Diana. I explained to her what I wanted on my nails to the because my poor nails were going through it. I have long natural nails, but sadly I have broken two of them and few cracks. I told Diana I wanted a gel manicure with a repair to my damage nails using nail forms (sculpture nails) and a pedicure. She knew exactly what I was talking about, I was so excited because not everyone does this in the greater New Orleans Area. Diana an amazing job sculpting and shaping my nails. She was extremely through and knowledgeable about the tools she was using on my nails. She is all about the health of your nails regardless if you're wearing falsies. Her wonderful brother, Billy finished my manicure by cleaning up my cuticles and buffing them out. And OMG the hand massage was so bomb!! His hands were magical. Okay, next was my pedicure. I got the classic pedicure and it felt like a deluxe. I'm a sucker for details and small touches. I appreciate nails tech that take their time attending to your feet and make sure all the dead is gone. They also offer cocktails during service which I was very impressed by the selection of adult beverages. All in all I had a really great experience. Since this place opened this is the only place is trust with my nails. Diana & Billy know exactly what they are doing and their designs always blow me away as well as their creativity. I always get a nail or two blinged out and I get a super set when I'm going on vacation. The diamond stay on so well that I will go weeks without a fill and all the diamonds and designs are still in place. You get what you pay for when you come to a place like this. The salon is also very clean, classy, and nice. They have a ton of crystals and dip powder as well as nail jewelry. They do everything from marble nails, encapsulated, all powder, and really any design you can think of. I normally come with a photo of what I would like and they never disappoint. I was looking for a new nail tech and my friend referred me to this place. She told me to request Billy which I did! I came here with my bf's mom and we were really impressed! I got a lot of compliments and it was such a nice environment. I got a full set and my bf's mom got a refill. The prices are pretty high but you are paying for quality. Also, they do not charge extra for length!!!! I loved that! Billy was super nice and helpful. I was super indecisive about what I wanted and he was very patient. My bf's mom had Diana and said that she was very talkative and sweet. Which are really good things!! So disappointed. I've heard good things about this place but I'm guessing something has changed. The inside can be super pretty however, when I showed for my 9 am appointment, one of the first of the day, the girl couldn't find my booked appointment, I had to show her on my phone after I had to say hello first for her to acknowledge me. Once she finally found it, neither nail girl was there, the floor was covered in clipped acrylics and looked like no one had cleaned in weeks. I understand being covered in nail things but I don't understand it right when you open. I also don't understand why the table I sat to do my nails at couldn't have been cleaned before I sat. There was clipped acrylics I'm assuming from the day before all over. I had to push some out my way just to put my hand down. The girl that did my nails seemed bothered that she even had to do my appointment, she kept looking around, checking her phone, and didn't massage my hands, it was like she was stalling time, she over filed my nails which had nothing on them to apply gel nail polish and that has already chipped on multiple nails and I've only had it on for three days. Looking for a new nail tech and I'm so glad I came across this place. I had no problems scheduling a appointment over the phone. Billy did my nails and he's sooo sweet and nice we talked about quite a few things and share some similarities. I like how he is very talkative since he will be my new nail tech it's great to have that type of bond so it won't be awkward every time I get my nails done. Pricing wasn't really bad at all I paid 40 for a gel full set with one glass nail and 30 for my pedi. Over all, my experience was great. I have been coming here for several months now and usually don't have to wait more than 15 -20 minutes after the time of my appointment. Today I waited an hour and would have been longer if it was not for me deciding to leave. I really needed my nails done before work. I wished someone could have called me to at least tell me my appointment would be running late so that I would not have been sitting waiting for over an hour to end up not being able to get my nails done. I proceeded to reschedule for the next day only to get a call saying it was double booked and was not offered any kind of a solution and did not seem apologetic. So it's super pretty inside, and there is a buzz of people around that makes you instantly feel you've arrived at the "it" spot. There's two technicians that do amazing artistic sets, Toyknee and Diane but you'll never get in there chairs if you don't want something completely complex and complicated (2 inch tie dyed coffins with lace and diamonds anyone?). Well, I did love the the solar ombré technique I assumed they created. But everytime I went they tried to talk me into something more complex, even after I stated that I'm just in to the more natural. I went here for months during the pandemic while I was stuck out on the westbank, I tipped everytime but noticed small things like the constant up charges when I was just in for a refill or that I never got charged for pedi color change and there's no prices posted anywhere( except online), and bringing this to the attention of front desk only meant "O our prices changes," but speaking to other customers it was easy to see that they price how they feel, and they are biased by it. Topping on the cake, was coming in for a refill and pedi only to be told I could only get a refill bc I was down for both. But when exactly do I ever get one? After asking if there's any way I could wait until someone was available, I was told it was impossibly only to be called back 30 mins after I left the area (hard to get to, nothing really around area) that they could take me now. Now, we all know how nail shops can be, especially to new customers (). Well, this was literally the best nail shop experience of my life. Hands down. Let's get into it! Let's start with the establishment. First, it's allllll the way out on the end of the West Bank in a little strip mall. The glass is mirror tinted so when you walk in you're taken aback by how lovely the salon is. There are sheer curtains draped here and tucked there, elegant crystal chandeliers hanging aloft high ceilings, casting soft glowy light, and an ornately tiled privacy wall for the pedicure bowls. Someone really put love into the place and created this lush and luxurious atmosphere. I booked an appointment with Diana and I got there a little early. She was running behind but Billy, God bless his hands , informed me that the wait wouldn't be long and promptly appeared with a pineapple mimosa to accompany my wait. (I've got allergies so it really mattered that it was not orange juice, Lol). I sipped and read and waited and although 40 mins slipped by, I barely noticed. Both Dianna and Billy were extremely apologetic and kept me updated the whole time and made me feel like a priority, despite the wait time. I was too preoccupied with the spa vibezzz. Once I was in her chair, Diana began to prep my nails for a refill and realized I use acrylic gel so Billy would have to do the work. God smiled on me that day. When I tell you Billy's work was exquisite?! Oh!! I looooooooove my nails ok!? And I am NOT easy to please! I admit it. I wanted this man to give me a refill from 7 weeks out, a cut down, and all on top of someone else's work! And boy did he! I mean I got compliments from little kids, old women, and even people in the drive-thru! You know kids and old women don't bother with lying to you and how did drive-thru sis have time to even see my nails? My hands were upturned! That was February 9th and I'm STILL getting compliments. Great place to get your nails done. I was getting my nails done at another nail salon. Heard great things about Nail'd It Nola. Since I've been coming here I get stopped and complimented on how nice my nails always look. The receptionist is always so accommodating to my needs. I always tell people you need to book your appointments beforehand. It may not always be convenient,but by making the appointments I know I am not wasting my valuable time waiting. So I came to write a review last time I came here but I decided not to because I wanted to give this business the benefit of the doubt and I know that everybody has their bad days. However with my second visit I am officially disappointed and quite frankly annoyed with the customer service, or lack there of, as well as the result of my nails themselves. Now I will say that I think that this has to do more with the individual that I am going to, her name is Tracey. Not sure if she hates her job or has something going on in her personal life but literally anything I said or asked of her was accompanied by a dramatic sigh or an eye roll. she cut my nails without asking me what length I wanted, resulting in nails extremely too short for my taste. when I told her that they were too short she essentially said it was too late. Many of my nails are differently shaped and are way too thick. I have literally done acrylic sets on myself that looked better than the set that I just walked out of Nail'd It with. She even made me apply my own cuticle oil because she had to rush off to a different client (how unprofessional??) I am a college student on a budget and one of the few things that I gift to myself is getting my nails done because it's how I treat myself, so whenever I use my small budget towards getting my nails done for this low level service and this disappointing result, I get quite frustrated. both times I've come to the shop I've had to spend an additional 45 minutes at home fixing the mistakes that were made. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance for a pedi and full set. Was called the day before and told my appointment would be pushed to 10am instead of 9 because a nail tech wouldn't be there . But was also told come at 9 anyway to get my pedicure. So I arrive at about 910 And told I had to wait because someone walked in and they took them . So I waited about 30 mins just to get in the pedicure chair. My pedicure was started but then stopped midway because there was another customer the tech was still working on . Finally she finishes with her 20 mins later and starts on me. After the pedi I would assume since I had an appointment I would be taken by the next available nail tech , but another young lady that came in after me was serviced before me. I had to wait another 30 mins for a nail tech but eventually I got up and told them I had to go because I had another appointment at 130 and the appointment was 30 mins away and at that time it was already almost 12 and the nail tech was still working on another customer.
