This is a pretty big Sephora! There is a lot of space so you don't have to worry about bumping into people while testing out products. All the sales associates that I came across were very nice and helpful. The product selection is a little limited compared to other Sephoras and the testers were kind of out, but everything was clean and the ambiance was good. Location is super convenient! read more

I went in today to the Hollywood location just to kill time and look at fragrances and I met a wonderful lady there by the name of Pari she's not someone that works there at the Sephora she travels for all Sephora she was so knowledgeable she also let me know she had worked for Chanel for like 17 years and she was going to be working at Coachella such a pleasure to talk to she introduced me to different fragrances and really told me their story about each one and even though I didn't buy one today I will be coming back to purchase a few of the ones that she recommended I took pictures of them so I won't forget I let her know that I do shop at Sephora and there are two Associates that introduced me to products often and because of their recommendations I have bought their perfumes. I've been shopping at Sephora for as long as I can remember (a foundation every month along with lipstick mascara liner Etc). I usually to have a good experience however today was one of the worst I've ever had with customer service. I recently heard about your Estee Lauder foundation and knew I wanted it, so I went last week and purchase a bottle( I had to go to two different stores just to find it but felt it was worth it). However the shade the gentleman picked for me was too dark. Earlier today I returned to the store ( Hollywood and Highland )to exchange it for a lighter shade with my original receipt however two employees would not let me. I did spill oil on it so the bottom of the receipt wasn't completely clear but you can see all other information except the barcode. Instead of assisting me with my right shade I was looked upon as if I stole the bottle and they said all they can give me was a gift card and I was promptly kicked out of the establishment. They also refused to give me back my original receipt when I requested it even though they said they couldn't use it. read more

I used to love Sephora but never will I shop there again! I went about 2 weeks ago! Didn't want anything specific..I just go there to shop blow of steam! Staff was nice especially a young man named Dennis, who was ever so sweet! Everything caught my eye, I couldn't decide I had my cell in one had and a couple of shadows in my hand when a guy walked up to me and says I see you have "4" lorac shadows I said yeah offered a basket i say no. All of a sudden as I shop I probably spent a hour in the store I notice people following me and watching and talking on headsets! I'm like who cares! I'm being paranoid. I ended up not getting the shadows but polish, eyeliner, bronzer and shampoo when I get to the counter William rushes up next to me and says where's the shadow? I want the Lorac! I'm looking like okay and say go get it's on display! He says i want it now..lol! I told him call the police and I'll wait to check stock! At this point he insulted me while I was making a purchase. I work in retail I know the basic say the number of the item out loud so the customer knows you know what they have. Idiot! I then call any and every associate and find out he's management his name is William so I was told. A short, ugly man who has the nerve to work in beauty! I later called and told him I was making a complaint he still was very snotty! In my experience of retail of over 10 years we couldn't treat people that way unless we had proof and we'd have to call security not harass them ourselves! I shouldn't have bought a thing and I'm sticking with MAC! 89% of the people who work in that store are old and fat anyway! I plan on talking to a lawyer! My advice call and ask when he's no there! November 13, I went to the Sephora store in Hollywood and Highland on the second floor. It was Friday after school with no plans that day me and my best friend decided to go look around. Me and my best friend both like makeup so we went into Sephora. The store itself is really big located on the second floor there are escalators to get us there. Entering the store we were welcomed and attended right away. Although we didn't buy anything that day they didn't mind they continued to pay us attention. We felt welcomed and happy surrounded by all the makeup and kind people. One of the employees came up to me and my friend and asked us if we were interested in attending a class and we said ,"yes." Absolutely blown away by the service I was given by Sinem. She exceeded my expectations incredibly. I have very sensitive skin and, after searching online and not finding the answers to my questions, came in to ask if anyone knew how to help me find a cruelty free/ began lotion and foundation that would work for my skin. She was extremely kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and made me feel like she genuinely care about finding me the right fit for my skin. I use to loveeeeee this location until I ran into ESTEBAN... who was being super sarcastic and rude, because I didn't make a purchase TODAY and asked for parking validation!!! Even tho I am a super loyal customer! I am VIB Rouge and usually do my makeup/skincare shopping at Sephora! this store is the biggest sephora i ever seen. they have EVERYTHING a girl could want or need in a makeup store. the employees are very nice and they dont harass you while your in the store i was there for almost 2 hours and i didnt get 10 dushers ask me if i needed help. if i needed help id walk up to you and ask. i tested out some makeup and painted my nails. i purchased a few things. and got a great deal on cosmedicine face wash it was on special for $5 at the time. it was a wonderful experience. the only crapy thing is they didnt hook me up with free samples of anything thats always my fave part about shopping at sephora you can try ANYTHING for free. read more

I'm a huge fan of Sephora, and this place is HUGE!! The customer service is okay. They seem a bit stand-offish, but some of the girls are friendly. I can spend hours here just trying on the make-up. If you live near a Sephora, you don't even need to buy make-up since you can just use all the make-up and perfume here, lol! All you need is your own mascara and eyeliner. Great sephora but horrible location! This sephora is really big and really has everything you would need the only problem is the location. Parking is beyond horrible and be ready to fight large crowds to get here. I'm disheartened to know that this establishment isn't fully caught up on trans viability and the correct way of speaking to someone who is trans. 09/27/18 I walked into the store to simply pick up a last minute product I needed. While doing so I browsed perfume and even had the sweetest Sephora employee offer to make me a sample of the Gucci bloom perfume. As she's doing this we're simply laughing and having good conversation until we were rudely interrupted by a man who also works the perfume department, he's affiliated with the company but isn't a Sephora employee, he rudely interrupts us and says " sir, what is your email ?" And I respond with "um, why would I give you that ?' And he says "in order the get a sample you need to give me your email" even though The Sephora lady was already making me them (even though I didn't want them initially) he then looks at her and says twice, "he needs to provide an email" and she says to him "no, she doesn't. "..... and as much as I appreciated her response, I still felt uncomfortable and saddened to know that even though I've never been misgendered, the first time it happens is at one of my favorite stores :( read more

Upon entering the Sephora (Hollywood and Highland Center) with my family, one of the security guards started walking directly behind us (approximately 2 feet). We stopped to look at one of the products and asked him a simple question concerning the price. He looked directly at us and stated "I am security and I don't know anything about the products" "I am here to watch people like you". He was rude, obnoxious and intimidating. I made a complaint to the the store manager but he didn't seem interested in doing anything. They stated that the security guard works for another company but could not release the name of the company to me. Despite making complaints, Sephora has not contacted me. read more

If I could give this Sephora NO stars, I would. Never have I ever felt more racially profiled at a Sephora store. I don't know if the associates were new or I just never saw them, because I go to this store quite often. I was the hair area, because I recently got a gift from a friend of mine, so I went to look more at the products/brand myself. As I was looking, my charging cord started falling out of my purse, so of course I put in back in my purse. Before exciting the store, I looked into the mirror, an associate came up to me, after about two other came up to me, and suggested a basket for my "items", which I didn't have. She later explained that someone radioed that I was on camera putting something in my bag, which was my cord. The associate who radioed said that he put something in my bag, whilst the other associate asked for the item that a. wasn't theirs, b. was a gift from a friend who bought it from a Sephora in Burbank. I happened to stop by this Sephora on my way to Forever21 & I wanted to test out the fragrances so initially I was helped by one young lady who was super attentive and nice. Then, another sales associate who is supposedly "in charge of the fragrance section" by the name of Denise walked over and took over & from the moment she came to approach me, she began demonstrating rude customer service. The First Lady was friendly, attentive & answered questions I had. The second lady was hovering over me as if I was a thief and rolled her eyes when she saw me trying multiple perfumes as if there's a limit on how many perfumes that I could spray on the tester. Once I was done sampling the fragrances I was interested in, (which btw she saw me setting to the side which one could assume that I was going to ask to have them put in a small bottle), it was then that she decided to tell me that she could only give me three samples. If that's policy, that was fine with me but then she started filling the tiny bottles up only half way. I asked her if she could refill them more, she promoted me to do it myself. She definitely had a horrible attitude and her customer service sucked as well. I told the manager Kate who was on duty about this interaction as well and once Kate stepped up to hear me out, Denise's tone of voice changed & she tried stating she gave me "great customer service" which is a lie. read more

Came in to exchange a foundation--same brand, same everything, only difference is that I was matched with the wrong color the first time around, at this Sephora, no less. Not only was I charged an extra $11 for the SAME PRODUCT, I was told that if I had done the exchange earlier I would have been able to get the $11 off. I asked if Sephora would still honor the $11 off, and was told no. The only saving grace is that after all the back and forth (I was returning an item and purchasing a perfume), he then forgot to actually charge me the $11. Avoid this Sephora if you can (and no matter what day of the week you come, it's always busy--takes forever and a half for a staff member to finally help you out, and 50% of the time, they're tired and cranky!) read more

This is the BEST Sephora I have ever been to. Every staff member I encountered was nice, and they answered my five million questions happily and without attitude (they even color matched me to three different foundations until I found what I wanted.) I had a return as well and the cashier was as sweet as could be about it. Not the closest Sephora to me, but I'll be making the drive now on whenever I need to get make up. Much better than the Americana one, where all I got was attitude from everyone. Parking is only $2 for 2 hours with validation, and Sephora validates. The garage had plenty of parking. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchases and I'll be returning! If he's there, ask for Orlando. He's the best! read more

Finally found someone working there to ask for a concealer recommendation. This is the WORSE Sephora in the USA! They never have anything in stock. There is never enough staff to help me find specific cosmetics I am looking for...but it doesn't matter if they never have anything on my list in stock anyway...the worst part of it is that they SAY they validate parking for the garage but they only PRETEND to validate parking behind the counter. I guess the store doesn't really want to pay the $3 parking discount for their customers to shop there. Every time I ask to have my parking ticket validated, they say that it is done but when I pay at the machine, there is no discount credited. How rude is that? I think this store will go bankrupt with their poor customer service...it doesn't matter, there is a MAC store downstairs and other Sephoras all over LA to shop at. I love Sephora but the service at the Hollywood store leaves a lot to be desired. If you go in person, its a bit better, but over the phone, its terrible. I was in this store and found a lipstick I wanted to purchase and nobody could give me the correct name or color. An "expert" called it one thing and even emailed me the name, the wrong name. Based on that I purchased the wrong color. I called the store to tell them I had been given the wrong name and that associate give me different name and color. I find out from the Yves St. Lauren people that there is no such color or number. I called back a second time and am given an even different number and name. Its clear the staff is not educated regarding what the store is selling. That is very disturbing to me - that I cannot trust the staff to give me the right information about a product. This lipstick was the focal point of the display! It was the only lipstick of its kind (rouge volupte shine) in that particular line on display. It was a distinctive coral color - so not that common. How hard is it to find out exactly what lipstick is being displayed? read more

I am a very frequent customer of this Sephora location. I honestly come in about once or twice a week on my lunch break. It is great for a quick touch up, and I am grateful for the helpful staff.
