So I buy 2 Groupons for this establishment. One for me, one for my friend. We make the appointments, fill out the forms and show up. The place is beautiful, very clean, right on Santa Monica Blvd. I go in first and meet Alice. She's a friendly woman. But they have run out of Botox. So we use Dysport. It's just a few shots for the Groupon. When we're finished I go to the lobby to wait. There is a receptionist there. A heavily made up person named, Blair. Blair tells me that I owe them $179.00 - I'm like, 'What? I gave you my Groupon.' To which Blair coldly tells me I had more shots than the Groupon allowed. Again, I'm like, 'What? No one told me I got extra shots and would have to pay more. You didn't tell me before I went into the room, Alice didn't say anything.' Blair tells me again that I owe her $179.00. I tell her I don't have the money, because I didn't. It's like Blair cannot compute this information and tells me again that this is what I owe her, tells me I can't leave until I pay her. I tell her again that I don't have it and she repeats that I cannot leave until I pay her. I say, 'Well then, I guess I will just have to live here.' I sit down on a chair. Blair calls the cops. I tell her, 'Great. Call the cops.' I call my stepfather and tell him to be on hold because I might go to jail. He tells me that the police don't deal with this kind of stuff. He tells me it's a small claims court things. I ask to speak to manager. Not only is the manager out of town, she was the one who told Blair to call the police. Blair tells the police that I REFUSE to pay her. She says this several times. It's not the case. It's humiliating to have to claim to Blair that I'm broke and I shouldn't have to say that anyway because I bought the Groupon in good faith. I tell Blair to bill me because I can pay them at the end of the month, even though the extra charge was bogus. I want to do the right thing. What if Alice gave me three extra shots? How is that my responsibility? I'm getting upset. I tell Blair that she is mean. She says stonily that she's not trying to be mean and the police are coming so my friend and I (he is beside himself) can't leave. The police come, we're now on the sidewalk. The West Hollywood police are always respectful. Meanwhile this is taking so long my afternoon and the work I needed to do is shot. The policeman asked me what was going on. I told him. He said, "Yeah. We don't deal with this kind of stuff.' I tell him that's what my stepfather said, but Blair and the manager of the establishment clearly didn't know the police don't get involved in these kind of matters. How dare they try to charge anyone extra and not explain it to them before the service. How did Blair know if got extra shots? I went into reception right after the treatment and Alice went to another exam room to work on my friend. Hinky. The cop's partner goes in and talks to Blair. The cop's partner comes out and tells me Blair wants my credit card and will charge it at the end of the month. I tell the police officer, 'You know what? If she that was the first thing she said to me, I might have. except, I don't know this person and after they way they've been behaving, there is no way I giving them my card.' The police are amused and tell me and my friend we can go. That was my experience at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center that isn't even in Beverly Hills.
