This afternoon, I stopped by hoping to schedule a future office visit. Dr. Neuwirth's staff checked me in and took me back for an eval. Since the bony prominence was so small, Dr Neuwirth went ahead and took care of it right then & there. Not only do they have different hand soap bars, but they also sell shampoo bars, body wash bars, and special mens' beard soaps. If you'd like to test the smell of the soap, there is a sink in the back with small soap samples you can test out. The day of my appointment my selected stylist for the service called me asking if I could come in early. I said most likely I would be able to be their by 2 pm and I would call before arriving to ensure she was still available. I did call but the the stylist did not pick up. I arrived at Ulta around 1:45 pm and let the person at the service register know that I was there early at the request of my stylist and to move my 4 pm appointment to her OPEN 2 pm slot. Was told she would be with me shortly. At 1:58 PM I returned to the desk to let them know I was still waiting. Was told by this person that my stylist was finishing up her current appointment. I went to the restroom, came back and sat down to wait. At 2:20 PM I stood up and realized the stylist was working on a new customer! I looked around for someone to explain the situation and no one was available. I when to the front desk and informed the women who checked me in that I was leaving and not coming back! To say I was angry is putting it mildly. Here's the thing, if they or the stylist had told me that she got booked between her calling and me showing up, I would have been fine. I would completed some other task I needed to do and had planned on doing before my 4 PM appointment anyway. DO NOT waste my time! They wasted 45 minutes of my life on my birthday and didn't offer an apology. Communication is key! IMOP Ulta is missing a great opportunity to gain more business by not offering more to men. Instead of trying to get our female companions out the door, we men could be spending cash on hair cuts and product. Nice job making me feel welcome Ulta.
