What was also nice was the prompt & professional service of having me in the room at 11:30am & not waiting. My masseur was Jimmy, he had a gentle yet effective technique. I didn't realize how tight & tense my shoulders were until he worked on my joints & muscles. Jimmy also listened when my right shoulder was more sensitive, he took a quick break from working on that side but then tried a different technique to get that knot out. I couldn't be happier but realized I need more massages so I booked another appt. w/Jimmy. The part that turned me off was when it came to pay they didn't appreciate my tip which was 14 % and insisted I pay 17% tip as listed on their tip suggestion list that they have printed on a wall. I was having really bad acne on my chin and Mina gave me a facial that was custom fit to my skin. She used cryo on my face and the perfect products that helped calm my skin almost immediately. Quick take: COVID-19 re-opening…read more After not being able to go to Fusion for over 6 months I was elated when Michelle was able to re-open under the regulations of Alameda County. Much has changed since my last appointment. This is one of the very few business where I was able to answer yes to all of the health and safety measures. Fusion was immaculate and super clean before the pandemic. Upon arrival I sent a text to let Michelle know that I arrived. After instructed to enter she opened the door and did a temperature check. Hand sanitizer is available in every room. Michelle was double masked and wearing gloves. I entered with my mask on and kept it on for the duration of the appointment. An air purifier was on the whole time. Also, a UV-C light sanitizer is used after every client. Appointments are being spaced out with an hour in between every client. Michelle also decided to let two hair dressers go due to health and sanitary concerns for her clients. So I was the only person in the spa during my whole appointment time. She is very conscious and made changes in order to keep everyone healthy. I've always felt safe coming to see Michelle. She will always take care of her clients. i requested brow threading and a shampoo+blowout…read more The vibe inside was nice, lots of customers going in and out, so it was clearly a popular place, some rooms were a little bit rundown, but that's whatever everyone that I interacted with was friendly and the service was kind. If your face isn't hairy, and your hair is extremely tame and requires little to no maintenance then this just might work for you. not me. Even though I requested only eyebrow threading, I realized that I wanted to do sideburn threading as well, and she accommodated me with no issue. However, it was only when I left the salon and already halfway home when I realized she completely missed some huge patches on my cheeks, so it looked very strange. Unfortunately, neither me or the lady doing my threading realized this, even after I looked in the mirror and examined it closely, maybe the lighting in there just isn't good because it seemed obvious after I left, but inside it was really hard to tell that something was wrong. As for the shampoo and blowout, it wasn't outright terrible but for the price I would've expected something better than what I could've done myself, and I did not receive that. The blowout technique was some of the strangest I had ever seen. The person doing my hair was being pretty rough with my hair, it wasn't overly painful but the way they were doing it was definitely not healthy for my hair. Additionally, I asked them to take care of the frizz at the top of my head, and instead of taking care of it, they said that they couldn't do anything about it. That response was extremely strange, considering I was the same ethnicity as the staff and I assumed that they would have some experience with people of my hair texture. I guess I was wrong. When I get threading done, I expect a thorough job and when I get a blowout, I expect beautiful frizz free hair, and my experience fell short of my expectations, unfortunately. i won't be back.

Disappointing Experience…read more I purchased a package that included 3 microneedling sessions and 3 under-eye Easy Gel sessions. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing. One of my biggest concerns was the preparation for microneedling. Each time I went, my face was not properly cleansed or prepared by the staff before the treatment. Instead, I was simply handed a cleanser to wash my own face. The cleanser provided did not adequately remove my sunscreen, and during my second microneedling appointment, I ended up bringing my own cleanser and washing my face myself at the sink before the procedure. I have had microneedling done at other places, and they properly cleanse and prepare my skin before starting the treatment. For a procedure that involves creating tiny channels in the skin, I personally expect proper cleansing and preparation as part of the service. As for the under-eye Easy Gel, I personally did not see the improvement I was hoping for. The downtime was also longer than I expected. I understand that downtime can vary from person to person and that this part is not necessarily the provider's fault, but because I was unhappy with the results, I decided that I did not want to proceed with my third session. I spoke with the staff about canceling the remaining session, and I was told that when a client asks for something like this, they can no longer be seen at their location. Honestly, after my experiences there, I had already decided that I did not want to return, so being told that they did not want to see me was very disappointing and unnecessary. I do want to say that I liked Nurse Carmen and appreciated her personally. My issue is more with my overall experience with the facility and the way my concerns were handled. I paid for a package expecting professional treatment and proper preparation, and unfortunately, that was not the experience I received. I hope they take this feedback seriously, especially when it comes to properly cleansing clients' skin before microneedling and treating clients respectfully when they have concerns about a service.
