This place was so bad I had to review it. Of course I expect it to be busy because it's a mall, it's a weekend, duh- however; because of these things I also would expect it to be fully staffed in preparation for a busy weekend full of shoppers, and everyone to be courteous and respectful, ask if I needed help, said excuse me as they knock you over....That did not happen. 2 stars here instead of 1 only bec the cashier and the woman at the door were nice, spoke, etc., but everyone else in the middle of the store and in the mix of everything clutter related (people and products) were either no where to be found for help, rude, and/or didn't greet you or asked you if you needed any help. As a very popular cosmetic and skin care company you have to be on your Ps and Qs, someone who works in retail is obviously writing this review! It was horrible. Basically, if you need help, don't bother. If you know what you're shopping for, have a wish list to check off and can figure out what you need before you arrive, you're good. If you're a casual browser, you're good! On the flip side, if you need a makeover or need tons of help or have lots of questions, go to Mac, or Macy's and you're better off. For me, it was a mixture of checking off things I wanted on my wish list as well as looking for some new products. Hope this helps someone! read more

A candy store for makeup lovers! It's a sizable store inside Northpark Mall, located on the second floor between Neiman and Nordstroms. The staff is eager to help, although it's questionable how knowledgable they are. For instance, one staff member absolutely recommended that I buy the Lancome eyelash curler, and another one told me it was the worst one every made. So who's right?! Anyway, the store itself is clean, carries a lot of products, and has many "try me" samples. read more

I have been to a lot of Sephora but this is the only place that made me feel horrible horrible. The old guy that worked there pointed me to another rep when I asked for help with a rude attitude. Almost like yelling at me (there was a lot of other customers right where we stood). If it wasn't for another lady that ran to me and asked me what's wrong I would have returned everything. I am a long time client with rouge status of almost 10,000 points. If he knew that he would probably treat me differently. I can't imagine how many customers have he made Sephora lose. I like the Sephora store too and shopping on-line but the store in North Dallas the sales people suck they are not helpful at all and they love to get you out of the store as soon as possible. i love sephora but literally ALL the workers there were no help at all. I needed help and all of them were just talking to each other. So i went over to talk to one of the workers that were talking to each other to ask for help on which foundation is best for dry skin because i have dry skin. and then ALL she said was well all foundation is good, you just need a good skin care routine. like what? umm no there's foundations out there for dry skin lol so i was confused and then i thought she was gonna maybe help me find some. i was wrong, as soon as she was finished talking to me, she went right back to her conversation with a co worker. she was rushing her response as if she wanted to get back to her conversation with her instead of helping a customer like she's suppose to. read more

I went to exchange my NARS foundation for a shade lighter & was immediately approached. ( Which I loved, because it was busy.) The makeup artist was really against me getting NARS. I like their sheer coverage & weightless feel so It was supposed to be a quick exchange. Anyway she put a few diff foundations on my face, and ended up grabbing me smashbox water based or something. I told her a cpl times that I'm fine with NARS but for some reason i let myself walk out with what she handed me ( not NARS). The next day, which was yesterday I went back to return the foundation that felt was like sunblock on my face. A different person helped me, and I felt way more comfortable w/ her style of customer service. I went in to purchase the Kat Von D Lolita Everlasting Liquid Lipstick once I got to the Kat Von D section I realized they only had about five lipsticks to swatch. They had witches which is a black, echo a navy blue, LUV a purple, and two other lavender purple colors. I looked to see if they had it available on the top display but, apparently they didn't. I tried to look for help and seemed impossible to get anyone to help everyone was in a circle in the middle of Sephora talking about the new things they got in the back. I than proceeded to ask one of them if they had Lolita under the bottom cabinet. In a rude tone she said don't you see it on top of the display I told her no I wouldn't have asked for your help if it was. She opened it and moved some of them around and said no and walked away. I noticed they had over 50 of the lipsticks so, I opened it and what do you know I find Lolita kinda sad since she said they were out. I normally would never open up drawers but, I had a feeling I would find it and, what do you know I magically did find it. read more

You literally can't walk in here without being followed around and barraged by employees trying to sell you everything. it's so obnoxious and uncomfortable like I can't wait to get out and breathe when I'm there. also the employees are SO WIERD RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS. My daughter and I went to this location to look at Kat Von D products. Was happy her products were in stock. Some of the employees were helpful. There was one woman (I think she was a manager) kept watching us. Asking us like 10 times if we needed help. I said no each time. But she never left us. So finally we went to the register and she followed us. She was going aisle to aisle being sneaky about it. Pissed me off! I wanted to say something and walk out. But wanted her to see she didn't have to judge us as thieves! I use to like going here. At least the Sephoras in JC Penny give you your space and help you when you need it. read more

I went here today for some birthday shopping and I'm normally kind of wary of Sephora because I'm super introverted, but this is by the far the best experience I've had in a Sephora and just shopping in general in a long time! I think every single employee at one point at least came up and talked to me and asked if I needed help and were super patient with my questions. They took time to look for products for me and every single employee treated me kindly. Even as someone who hates talking to strangers I felt completely comfortable thanks to how friendly the staff was. When there was one product that was out of stock one of the women even helped by offering the solution of having it shipped directly to my house with free shipping! Even when I was looking around on my own I could clearly see every employees diligently helping all of the customers. It wasn't very busy so the line wasn't long which is nice, and the cashier made sure I didn't forget about my birthday gift even though I didn't mention it! Incredible staff! I went in there for 1 THING! It took me 40 minutes to get checked out and out. I was in line for 30 minutes and then the girl at the register screwed up my transaction.....soooo I had to go back and ask her to fix it. Then, she basically told me it was my fault. We visited this store recently. It was a Tuesday afternoon, and the store wasn't very busy at all. My daughter was interested in purchasing a Marc Jacob's foundation, which by most standards would be considered expensive. My daughter asked one of the associates to do a test application so that she could see how the makeup performed. She was told that she would incur a "makeover charge " if they did so. My daughter is no slouch and could easily work there and be applying products to interested customers herself. She didn't want a makeover, only to insure that a $50 bottle of makeup that she drove an hour and a half to get would be a successful purchase. Probably a bad call Sephora associate...as while you do carry some products that your rival Ulta does not, most of it can easily be had online, and sadly with about the same level of customer service...and without the sales tax. Step it up brick and mortar stores, Sephora in particular in this instance. read more

I love this store! I am not familiar with makeup and just wanted to treat myself for my birthday. I went in completely overwhelmed, but the staff was super helpful! I got paired with a makeup artist named Ailen, and she was the absolute best! She made me feel comfortable, and explained everything to me so I could redo the look myself. She really listened to my concerns and took her time, despite it being a busy Saturday. I highly recommend this store! read more

This was my first time visiting this Sephora. I have been going to Ulta, but after several bad customer service experiences there I decided to go to Sephora. All the employees in the store were friendly and helpful. I had an appointment for a makeover, and my artist Nadia was THE BEST. I am in love with the makeup she suggested and she taught me soooo much about the application. She is very talented and really is an asset to this store. Will definitely be coming back. Extremely disappointed in this locations customer service. I have purchased many cosmetic items for my daughter, mother and girl friend. Unfortunately, I had to return a few items I purchased for my daughter without a receipt. I agreed to accept a merchandise credit since I didn't have the original receipt. To my disappointment, the cashier changes her mind and didn't accept my return. The cashier stated based on my retail activity report the return is void. I was instructed to call or go online to review this report. I ask what are some of the flags on this report that would trigger a no return prior to leaving the store and was given no answer. I attempted to discuss the issue with the store manager, Michelle, but she wouldn't provide any additional details and became upset when i inquired about her mangers contact info. It amazes me that Sephora would hire a third party vendor and claim to not know what flags trigger a no return. Typically I purchase everything online and can't remember the last time I returned a retail item for a refund. The handling of my return and handling of my questions about the voided return feel like the employees would prefer to 'pass the buck' than provide service. The store manager, Michelle, could use some additional training on talking to a dissatisfied customer. Extremely disappointed in Sephora. I'm only 1 customer out of thousands but i will never shop at Sephora again. Fail! read more
